Bio:
Alek started as a struggling tattoo artist from LA. He is insanely talented and skilled at his art, but his upbringing as the child of a drug addict single mother seemingly doomed him from an early age. It’s possible he has some sort of mild social developmental issues caused by substance abuse during pregnancy. He was taken in by CPS at the age of 14 and placed in a foster home and assigned to a new school district. He was always different from his peers, alienating himself through his obsessions with bizarre art. He drew on everything given to him, no matter how many times he was reprimanded for it by school authorities. He often muttered to himself in monotone and rambled about new age theories to anyone who tried to befriend him.
When he was held back in tenth grade, he called the final straw and became a recluse. He never showed up for the first day of school and ran off from his foster shelter. He knew he could live homeless just as the countless nomads he’d seen across the city. He scavenged to survive, and fell into a lighter case of the addiction which plagued his mother. He never gave up his art.
By the age of nineteen, he resented what he had become. He felt he had lost the reason he quit school, to pursue his own interests despite the shame and ostracizing he experienced from others for being different. He decided to do what he had to do in order to break out of his current situation. He sold what drugs he had left in his possession, and used the money to transfer across LA to a more affluent neighborhood. He checked into a homeless shelter and began attempting to clean himself up. It was agonizing trying to come off the few more intense drugs he’d succumbed to, but mostly he had only dabbled in acid and similar psychedelics. The more he showed progress, the longer the shelter let him stay.
After feeling he had reached a consistent state of lucidity, he took a collection of his art with him and applied to a tattoo shop. They were reluctant, but highly impressed by his talent and signed him. Alek set for himself the goal of returning to normalcy, an employee not for a job, but for a hobby, surviving on what he loves to do. This lasted for over three years, until his slow descent back into soft drugs came crashing into him one night.
After seemingly losing consciousness, he woke up the next morning with the tattoo needle still in his blood soaked hand. He went to brush his hand off on his chest, only to see it was where the blood had come from. In horror, he realized, his entire upper body was pulsing red with blood. He ran, aching and trembling with pain, to the homeless shelter. He went straight to the shower to wash off, trying in agony to withstand the stinging water on his throbbing skin. His muffled screams and the running water slowly awoke the mad masses who shared the shelter with him. Those who came to investigate were just as shocked by Alek by the freak who stood before them.
With the dried blood largely washed away, Shades could see what he had done to himself in his subconscious state. He turned himself into his greatest work of art. The inhabitants of the shelter, largely suffering from mental illness, turned on him and chased him out into the streets, threatening him should he ever return. Knowing he could never return neither to the shelter nor the tattoo shop, he relapsed into his nomadic state, but only for a short while. After a few weeks of hiding under highway overpasses and in storm drains, he spotted a flyer for an underground fight club. Desperate, facing no other choice, he applied.
The booker was hesitant at first, but when Alek tore off the garments covering his face and revealed his true self, it was a done deal. The booker had his new attraction, and Alek had his new calling. Onlookers paid good money to watch the freaks of the LA underworld batter each other to bloody pulps, and the Golden Skinned Being was a top draw. From these humble beginnings, Alek was offered a chance to perform at a local indy wrestling show. When he saw the stark contrast between the performative artistry of the high flying wrestlers and the brutality of the street fighters, he realized he could carry over his creative side and merge it with his combat skills. On top of that, the audience at the wrestling show was even more receptive to his standout appearance. The rest, as they say, is history.
Character Detail:
Alek downplays his tattoos when outside of the ring. He likes to wear hoodies to hide them, even in warmer weather. The idea behind the tattoos is to create a presence which demands attention. Therefore from a "booking perspective" it's important to avoid overexposure and desensitization to his image. Even in backstage interviews, etc. he should be depicted wearing something to cover his bodyart. Should Alek be a champion, it's important that he does not ever wear the belt around his waist or slung over his shoulder. He will always carry it in his hand, because to him it is an earthly possession and he is ascended beyond that. He will want to win the title to take it from anyone who doesn't deserve it more so than the simple pursuit of fame and recognition.

Entrance:
The arena is bathed in the ambiance of dark hues of purple, maroon and violet. The music fades in as the ActionTron displays a single closed eye. As the soft vocals pick up, the eye ignites in a deep blue flame, radiating outward into red and orange. In sync with the burst of guitar, the eye opens, revealing not a human eye, but a rotating spiral of mystic energy. As the loud vocals begin, Alek emerges from an instantaneous flash of colored fog and lights. His brightly colored tattooed body is rendered dull by the dark aura of the arena. He stands stoic and statuesque, arms at his side, head straightforward, staring blankly into, through and beyond the camera facing him from down the ramp.

The frame on the ActionTron pans away from the eye, and two more open beneath it, revealing its role as the Third Eye. When the mortal oculi open, Alek begins to move in ghostlike procession down the ramp. As he passes floodlights on each side of the ramp, the lights transition across the spectrum to brighter shades, matching his body art.
The ActionTron displays psychedelic imagery in tune with Alek’s aesthetic. When he reaches the ring just as the music slows again, he pauses before hopping up to the ring apron, flipping over the top rope, spinning on his heel and launching himself still on one leg to the top rope as the fans applaud the display of athleticism.
Adilene Floyd: He is the Clairvoyant, Alek Shaaaaades!
The spotlights focus subdued golden beams upon the Clairvoyant. The ActionTron displays the banner image of Alek superimposed over the Christ Consciousness. He remains stoic as he soaks in the approval of the audience before backflipping onto his feet in the center of the ring, pivoting to the hard camera and stretching his arms out to herald the climatic end of the song.
