Bio: James Nightingale (formerly James Harrison) was a promising young British wrestler during the early 2000s. However; despite several successful excursions to the Far East and an incoming contract offer from “a large” American promotion, James shocked the business by retiring as an active wrestler.
Following an unpleasant altercation with a shady promoter; which had resulted in James's “blacklisting” from the British wrestling scene, and the recent discovery that his girlfriend Alice was expecting their first child, James sought out a new career. To provide a stable income for his family, and longing for a need not to be an absent father; James enrolled at the University of South England's School of Nursing in September 2002 and would progress successfully through his new career, eventually becoming a Senior Charge Nurse at the King City Hospital.

James and Alice were High School sweethearts; having started dating towards the end of their final year at school in 2000. They would later go on to marry in 2007. Alice unfortunately suffered a miscarriage during her first pregnancy, but she would later go on to have two children with James, a son (born in 2009) and a daughter (born in 2013).
Despite living a happy and comfortable life with Alice and their two children; James’s world was turned upside down during a shift at work in 2013. Following the death of a beloved patient named Robert; cracks started to form in James’s mental health. He would soon hear voices creeping into his thoughts; those of Florence Nightingale, the matriarch of modern nursing.
Following several years of seduction from "The Matriarch"; James finally succumbed and accepted her as his mentor in 2015, she continued to seduce him into the darkness and quickly stripped away the remaining remnants of his humanity. He would soon walk away from both his job and his young family; abandoning Alice, leaving her without a word to raise the children on her own. With a newly gained lust for both violence and chaos; James would make a return to the world of professional wrestling, with "The Matriarch" guiding him throughout the remainder of his training as he travelled around the world learning many different wrestling styles in the process.
Once his training was completed, he took the name "Nightingale" as his own as a sign of respect towards "The Matriarch". She bestowed on him the nickname "The Angel of Death"; a term used to describe serial killer nurses who were known to murder their patients, and made him the leader of "The Eradication Campaign".
Travelling to America with both an extensive knowledge of various wrestling styles and the anatomy of the human body; plus his lust for both violence and chaos, James Nightingale truly is a formidable foe for anyone as he aims to eradicate the weakness that festers away from with Action Wrestling.
Quotes / Statements:
”The Angel of Death is coming, pray for mercy!”
When addressing an opponent “[Insert name here], The Angel of Death has come for you, pray for mercy!”
”Eradicate the weak”
Pic Base: Cillian Murphy
Attire: Black plain tights, held up with a black belt. Black boots, kick pads and knee pads. White taped right hand and both wrists, and a black right elbow pad. During his ring entrance a black trench coat. Black t-shirt with writing in blood-stained lettering across the chest. A black goth-style lower face mask.
Entrance
Theme song: “In the House, In a Heartbeat” by William Morris
“In the House, In a Heartbeat'' by William Morris begins its slow-burn introduction as the arena falls into darkness upon the sound of the song's iconic piano chords.
Soon the piano is accompanied by the rumblings of bass guitar and in time with each note, a flash of strobe lighting appears, revealing a figure in the darkness standing in the centre of the entrance stage as his appearance is slowly revealed by the strobe lighting... it is James Nightingale.
Nightingale remains still on the stage; his face half-covered by his intimidating goth-style entrance mask with his eyes focused intensely on the ring. As the tempo begins to increase he slowly unbuttons his trench coat without breaking his intense gaze on the ring; revealing “The Angel of Death” in blood-stained lettering written across the chest of his T-shirt. The music pauses and the strobe lighting ends, returning the arena to darkness once again.
The music returns with an edgier tone, accompanied by electric guitar as the arena is now illuminated with blood-red lighting and “The Angel of Death” appears on the ActionTron, again in blood-stained lettering.
He continues to stand on the stage; Alice walks out of the shadows behind Nightingale, armed with her barbed wire-wrapped baseball bat, stopping at his side. She turns to Nightingale, placing her right hand on his shoulder. She whispers in his ear and then kisses him on the cheek, raising the bat in her left hand and pointing it towards the ring, smiling seductively as she ushers her man towards the battle ahead. Nightingale cracks his neck from right to left before finally beginning his intimidating march to the ring whilst Alice watches on from the stage, his intense soulless eyes never break away from his destination. His pace quickens as the drumbeat intensifies the unsettling theme music.
He stops for a moment when he reaches the edge of the ring, before continuing his menacing walk around the outside, marking his territory for the war ahead whilst continuing not to break away his attention from the ring. Nightingale arrives at the side of the ring closest to the hard camera; he tilts his head and climbs up onto the apron before finally pulling his intense gaze away from the ring.
Adilene Floyd: Being accompanied to the ring by his wife, Alice… from The King’s City, England… weighing in at 220 pounds...this is THE ANGEL OF DEATH!!... JAMES NIGHTINGALE!!!
As his introduction is being made he slowly removes his entrance mask and drops it to the floor. Just before the music meets its climactic crescendo, he performs a slow throat slash gesture. The crescendo comes and he sprays a red mist into the air whilst throwing his arms out wide to form a crucifix shape as his name is called. His head drops back down as he smiles sadistically to the crowd whilst the red mist falls onto his face, resembling splatters of blood.
He turns slowly and climbs into the ring, marching over to the turnbuckle to his far-right and climbs up onto the second rope. Alice joins Nightingale at the ringside and points the bat at her husband whilst he again performs his signature pose whilst he smiles sadistically at the crowd with his blood-stained face.
Nightingale jumps down from the turnbuckle, Alice climbs up onto the apron and together they share a passionate kiss. She climbs back down as Nightingale retreats to his corner, slowly removing his trench coat and T-shirt. He begins to loosen himself up, pulling violently on the ropes. Once he is finally prepared for the match, he begins to pace back and forth inside the ring ready for the fight ahead.

Moveset
In-Ring Style: Submission / Grappler / Striker / Hardcore
Nightingale is proficient in a variety of different wrestling styles. He is an outstanding grappler and submission artist having been trained in British "Catch" Wrestling from a young age. Regular excursions to Japan broadened his knowledge; adding a "Strong Style" striking approach to his arsenal. As his mental health deteriorated Nightingale introduced a Hardcore element to his game; not being afraid to introduce weapons to a match. Now he takes much joy in torturing his opponents in the ring; often with little regard for his own body.
Will often attack the head / neck of his opponent repeatedly throughout a match to set up his finishing manoeuvres, which both target this area.
Occasionally removes his belt and whips his opponents with it, often as they are lying on the mat in a humiliating fashion.
Also has the tendency to roll to the outside of the ring after the bell is rung at the start of the match to frustrate his opponent.
Alice always accompanies Nightingale to ringside, armed with her baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire. She is very vocal at ringside, often screaming at Nightingale's opponents. She also has a tendency to interfere on Nightingale's behalf (see Alice's moveset here).

Signature Moves
As Daylight Dies (Discuss Elbow Smash) - Either:
1) Ripcord Discuss Elbow Smash to the face of his opponent.
2) Delivered to the back of the head of an unsuspecting opponent. Move usually set up with a head butt to the face; causing his opponent to stagger to the centre of the ring with their back to Nightingale.
3) Discuss Elbow Smash to the face of his opponent, without Ripcord setup.
3) Discuss Elbow Smash to the face of his opponent, without Ripcord setup.
Extreme use of move involves Nightingale executing with a chain wrapped around his arm
Cradle To The Grave (Cradled Corkscrew Brain Buster) - Occasionally delivered following Nightingale successfully catching an opponent during a diving attack. If the move is delivered outside of the ring the move may be delivered onto the apron or steps. If Nightingales opponent is crotched on the top rope a 'Super' version may be delivered. A 'Super' version may also be executed after Nightingale successfully blocks a Superplex attempt.
Finisher Setup
Just Barely Breathing (Swinging Reverse STO) - Prelude to Mercy Killing; this move is extremely versatile yet impactful. It is either set up by Nightingale stalking his opponent or by Nightingale reversing out of an opponents move into it. Nightingales opponents head will be spiked into the floor upon completion of this move and he will always follow up with Mercy Killing.
Finishers
Mercy Killing (Elevated Package Piledriver) - A throat-slashing taunt is performed by Nightingale whilst his opponents head is between his legs before executing the move. If the move is executed following the successful use of Just Barely Breathing; Nightingale will drag his opponent back to their feet enough so he can place their head between his legs.
Extreme use of move would involve Nightingale executing Mercy Killing off of the top rope through a table or onto chairs.
To The Sword (Running Big Boot)
Cheyne-Stoking (Rear Naked Choke Hold) - Either:
1) Catches an onrushing opponent with a wrap-around takedown, or uses the same takedown as part of a running attack, applying the Rear Naked Choke as Nightingale transitions to his opponents back, taking them to the ground to finish submission.
2) Nightingale stalks and catches his opponent from behind, applying the Rear Naked Choke, taking them to the ground to finish submission.
2) Nightingale stalks and catches his opponent from behind, applying the Rear Naked Choke, taking them to the ground to finish submission.
3) Catches a diving opponent, immediately applying Rear Naked Choke, taking them to the ground to finish submission.
4) After applying Rear Naked Choke in a standing position; Nightingale sedates his opponent, then transitions them so their head ends up between his legs ready to execute Mercy Killing
Nightingale will "Shhh" his opponent in their ear as the choke is applied on the ground.
