(While I'm technically using IC CJ for the broadcast, this is completely OOC and not meant to bring anyone down in any way)
Skybox Sports: AW Inside The Numbers
Silence. Darkness. As it has always been in the beginning. A light comes on that pierces through the darkness.
"SKYBOX SPORTS" appears above the symbol in a white, neon light. A few seconds later, the lights come on, revealing a studio designed in black and white. There's AW merch in various areas of the studio while a Phoenix symbol rests on the front of the desk. Sitting in the center with his eyes closed is one CJ Phoenix. He opens his eyes and smirks as the camera zooms in on his face. He speaks in a calm tone.
Phoenix: Welcome.....to the future.
An intro plays, displaying highlights from various matches from the previous AW shows while "I'm Back(To Rise)" by Mick Gordon and Omega Sparx plays in the background. The mini video package ends with the camera zooming out until it's revealed that it had been zoomed in on the dot of a lowercase 'i'. The background shows a bunch of numbers and statistics while the center shows "1n5id3 +h3 numb3r5" before correcting itself to "Inside The Numbers".
Phoenix: GOOOOOOOOOOOD NOM-NOM-NOMMING and welcome to this special edition of Action Wrestling: Inside The Numbers! I'm your time-traveling tour guide, CJ Phoenix, and we're gonna take a quick look back at the April 26th editions of CruiserClash and Monday Night Clash. We'll also be highlighting the best performances throughout the first four months of the year! So without further adieu, let's set sail for the sunken ship that was the first "Jim Mud's CruiserClash"!
3+ reigns in the same division
Spencer Adams(4X TAG)
QDT(4X CW)
FPV(3X WHC)
Sam Kidsgrove(3X US)
Claire Hawkins(3X TV)
OG Bishop(3X TV)
Phoenix: Is it possible to win comeback player of the year with eleven months to spare? If it is, my vote goes straight to Pettis. We're talking about someone who went from losing just about everything in 2020 to rebounding big time to start 2021. Five matches. Five wins, and a #1 contender's match victory to top it all off. Sara's been having quite the resurgence this year, and it all started here.
Clash: Ash Blake(2-0)
Phoenix: Sometimes, it's not the number of matches you win, but rather the significance of the ones that you do. There was no better example of that in January than Ash Blake. Despite only having three matches the entire month, one of which devolved into a demolition derby and never got started, Ash made the most of the ones she was in. She started the month winning the #1 Contender's match for the World Heavyweight Championship and ended the month by winning it. That's a hell of a way to make a statement.
Clash: Der Metzger(3-0)
Phoenix: This runs almost parallel with Ash Blake. Both were involved in that match that never got started. Metzger did have one more actual match before taking the same route to the US Title that Blake did to the World Title. Der won a #1 Contender's match and then turned it into a title win in the same month. And people say lightning doesn't strike the same place twice. Der Metzger has been a solid force in 2021, and January is where it all kicked off.
Phoenix: With the Battlebowl Tournament going on, there weren't as many matches on CruiserClash in February. However, one man still managed to stand out in a big way with a breakout performance. Void scored pinfall victories over the current AND previous Cruiserweight Champions...in consecutive weeks, and his only loss was at Battlefield where he wasn't even a part of the decision. It's no surprise that he and January MVP Sara Pettis went on to win tag gold at the end of March. Needless to say, February was good to Void.
Clash: Spencer Adams(3-0)
Phoenix: February was all about Battlefield and the Battlebowl Tournament. It only makes sense to give an MVP award to the man that came out of the OG Bishop Battlebowl Memorial victorious. With Havic coming up, it's a perfect time to remind those who have forgotten and inform those who never knew that this tourney decided who would enter Havoc last. Well, at least we know when one of the entrants will come out.
Phoenix: It was only a matter of time before Regan broke through the glass ceiling. She'd been a top-tier contender in each of the first two months, but March is where she finally put it all together at the right time, winning the Cruiserweight Title at Timebomb and cementing herself as the queen to beat.
Clash: Twiztid Insane(4-0)
Phoenix: For lack of better words, Twiztid went on an INSANE run in March. You all know the formula by now. Win a #1 Contender's match. Win a title. MVP moves. The difference here is that Twiztid channeled his inner Saiyan and went even further beyond! He added two successful title defenses to an outstanding month's worth of victories.
Phoenix: The reason I don't have Regan or The Gatecrashers here is because I wanted to shine that MVP spotlight on as many people as possible. Still, Two Gents were amazing in April. They proved that they can win both as a tag team and as individuals. When you have a tandem that can accomplish a feat like that in the same month, it shows that this duo is a dual-threat in more ways than one.
Clash: Johnny Bacchus(4-0)
Phoenix: Somewhere out in Toon World resides one hell of a Pure Champion. Every match that he was in during the month of April was a title defense, and he pulled through. He's been putting his money where his mouth is, and he looks to continue his run of dominance in May. By the way, he still doesn't know what a loss is in 2021.
Clash: CJ Phoenix(3-0-1)
Phoenix: It took a while for the plane to leave the runway, but when it did, it SOARED! The Luminary of Despair went from slugging it out on CruiserClash to winning the Hardcore Title to defending it successfully in the first ever Execution Cage Match to take place on Clash...all in the span of a month. Who knows what's next for this one here.
Claire Hawkins: 6th wrestler with 3 title reigns in the same division
Downfall: Longest TV Title reign in AW history(110 days), also the 11th wrestler with a 100+ day singles title reign
Der Metzger: Can be 12th wrestler with a 100+ day singles title reign if he can hold the title through 5/11
Ash Blake: Can be 2nd wrestler to ever have multiple 100+ day singles title reigns if she is still champion after 5/11(the other is Corey Black)
The camera zooms out slowly as the light fades into darkness, leaving the neon glows as the only light source before they too fade to black.

CruiserClash 4/26/21 Hidden Gems
"New Wave"
Phoenix: Before I go on a rant, because THAT'S coming up SOON, I wanna start by saying what a great job the human Shy Guy Jay Mack has been doing with recruiting people. Normally, it's Clash that has a good five to ten newbies pop up every month or every other month. This time, SEVEN of the people currently on the Cruiserweight roster were signed in April prior to this past CruiserClash. On top of that, another one was signed shortly afterwards. The hits just keep on coming!"Mystery Match"
Phoenix: Sticking with the number seven, that's how many people were advertised to compete without knowing who they were facing. The only other time this year that a match was advertised without it being fully known who was in it was the March 15th episode of Clash where Kata-Pult's opponent was a mystery......that ended up being herself. Not the case here where we got to see Addy A surprise everyone with her arrival on CruiserClash. Not to mention, the matches all had clean, decisive finishes......until the wheels fell off AGAIN!"Misfortuna"
Phoenix: Do these refs have something against Soldado Fortuna? Last week, there was an arguable near fall that happened that ultimately led to costing him the match. Earlier this week, he was in another back-and-forth battle against Tsukiko this time. Tsukiko pins him and he gets his foot on the rope after the one count. The ONE count! Clearly the fall is broken up and the match continues, right? NOPE! Ref decided to transmogrify into a bat and not see a damn thing! Counts to three anyway and the bell rings! Even Tsukiko was fine with the match restarting, so kudos to her for sportsmanship, but Jim Mud's like Nah fam as he's laughing his ass off. So it just ends there. Another one for the tally. Now that we've got that out of the way, it should be smooth sailing from here on...Ref Ball Tally: 4(3CC/1MNC)
"Mudtroversy"
Phoenix: ....nevermind. THIS is what secured that the ship would be sunk this week. Ref Ball is a problem. Mud Ball is a problem. However, when you put them together, you get a disgusting disaster in the main event. It turns out that the Copenhagen Championship Match was just Mud finding a pool of tobacco spit and trying to make one of them throw the other in there to win the match. Thankfully, neither of them took the plunge, but that's only because Jim Mud decided to play human pinball and casually collide with Karlie Nash, which led to her defeat. Oh, and then he threw JJ Biggs into the spit pit and fired him less than five minutes after the match ended. John Thomas was right. If this is what we can expect from a Jim Mud ran CruiserClash, count me all the way out. Oh, by the way, these Cruiserweight Championship matches keep ending in controversy. In fact, April is the first month that did not have a CruiserClash Title match end without some sort of chaos from either the referees or Jim Mud himself. We may be in the darkest timeline right now, but history was still made in a positive way despite the chicanery. For the first time ever, there was a Cruiserweight Championship match in every week of a single month.Ref Ball Tally: 5(4CC/1MNC)
Monday Night Clash 4/26/19 Hidden Gems
"Hat Trick"
Phoenix: Shifting gears from the M-U-D to MNC, we've got a new TV C-H-A-M-P! Congratulations to Claire Hawkins for, as mentioned by John Thomas on his broadcast, tying OG Bishop(R.I.P.) for the most TV Title reigns in AW history. It's already a challenge to have one championship reign in Action Wrestling, but to have three in the same division is truly amazing. Claire is now the the sixth wrestler in AW history to have at least three reigns in the same division.3+ reigns in the same division

"Outside the Box"
Phoenix: Boy I tell ya. If it ain't Ref Ball, it's something else. As wild as things get on either show, something we rarely see is consecutive matches ending due to outside interference. Normally, it's the inside interference that ruins everything. It all started when the Hangmen decided to attack Corey Black during his match with Corey Bull. It also looks like Frank Lowe is starting to get under Bull's skin. Risky business there. Next match is a triple threat. There's no way POSSIBLE a triple threat could end without a winner, right? Well, Harvey Marx, Sam Kidsgrove, and Max Daemon learned the hard way that it is in fact possible when they got attacked by Void, Sara Pettis, and Twiztid Insane. It must be Evo season with shit flying this far into the stratosphere. There were 43 scheduled Clash matches in April, and this pair of matches is the only time this month that consecutive matches ended due to outside interference. MVPs of the Month: January-April
Phoenix: So now we move on to the biggest part of the show and what makes this edition so special. Normally, I would've spotlighted a couple of people by now, but we're doing it differently this time. We're giving some props to the wrestlers who conquered a certain month this year. Whether it be a breakout performance or a run of dominance, these men and women have put themselves on the front of the posters at some point or another.January
CruiserClash: Sara Pettis(5-0)Phoenix: Is it possible to win comeback player of the year with eleven months to spare? If it is, my vote goes straight to Pettis. Other Notable Achievements
The Following: Longest reigning tag champs in AW history(ongoing)Claire Hawkins: 6th wrestler with 3 title reigns in the same division
Downfall: Longest TV Title reign in AW history(110 days), also the 11th wrestler with a 100+ day singles title reign
Potential Achievements
Johnny Bacchus: If he secures the other spot in the unification death match, he would be AW's longest reigning Pure Champion by the time Evolution arrivesDer Metzger: Can be 12th wrestler with a 100+ day singles title reign if he can hold the title through 5/11
Ash Blake: Can be 2nd wrestler to ever have multiple 100+ day singles title reigns if she is still champion after 5/11(the other is Corey Black)
Final Thoughts
Phoenix: It's hard to believe that we've already zoomed through a third of the year. If the next eight months are as unpredictable as these past four, then we're in for a wild 2021. We're just a few weeks away from Havoc, and Evolution is now less than two months away. Who will be a part of the Havoc Rumble? Who will be next to solidify a spot at Evolution? Will I need to make Ref Ball its own segment!? We shall find out in the upcoming weeks! Until then, thanks for watching! Take care, and be great! Byeonara! The camera zooms out slowly as the light fades into darkness, leaving the neon glows as the only light source before they too fade to black.
