Hi there folks, narrator here. I’m back once again to talk about the 2Gents and...Well, How to put this?
They are preparing for the forthcoming cage match by - and I'm quoting Jenson on this, “Smashing a bunch of stuff over our heads so we can build up a chair tolerance.”
Currently, Teo is preparing a coconut to smash over his best friend's head.
“Oh, tropical! Because we’re facing pineapple promenade?” Asks Andre.
“Yeah, but Pineapples aren't that hard, just spiky.” Teo responds, looking a little confused.
“Coconuts are a wonderful substitute, like when we were chasing the heart of Te Fiti? Ooh, wait, I can get the copter and-"
Teo responds by smashing the coconut over Andre’s head. He staggers a little, grins and puts his thumbs up.
“Point well taken! This is great training, I can feel my stamina and endurance building! I do wonder though, whether these headshots are safe....”
“I'm 95% sure that the staff doctors cleared this.”
“Doctors, bah! Jim Mud won’t know what to do when we beat him for the 3 count at Slam!”
“Ok, I'm 100% sure we need better staff doctors. Andre, we’re facing Pineapple promenade, remember? CruiserClash?”
“Why did you hit me with a coconut? Surely a pineapple woul….”
Suddenly, almost predictably, Teo smashes his good friend with a pineapple. Andre staggers and grins again as the chunks start to slowly fall down his face.
“I think I’m ready for this cage match Teo. I am so ready. We were so close to 100 days. 5 days away! 120 hours! And we let it slide, took our eyes off the ball one time. One time in 95 days and we paid the price for it. To be honest, that got me ticked! Vexed! Peeved and irked!”
“All 4 of them? That’s a lot of emotions.” Teo says as he casually picks up a long wooden plank.
“Yeah! Part of me wishes we were facing Red White and Bruised for this, they beat us for the titles after all!”
“Well, technically they beat Nidrah, but yeah.”
“Either way, we’re gonna get that title back, son. I can feel it. We have to, for the people! I mean I know Pineprom are saying they represent the people, they won it for the people and they are people persons but I hard disagree! I Have you ever seen them have organised events?”
“No”
“Signing autographs at ringside?”
“No, especially not during a match.”
There’s a crack as the plank of wood is also smashed over Andre’s skull. It breaks perfectly evenly down the middle. Jenson gives the thumbs up.
“Well, yeah. I didn’t have anything else to do so I signed a few autographs, it’s for the fans Teo.”
“I was being pummelled. It was a 2 on one situation. Their manager was holding me down!”
“Pics or it didn’t happen.”
“It was a dark match, not recorded!”
“So you have no proof?”
Teo seems like he takes a little more pleasure than usual when he cracks a flower vase over Andre’s head
“All I’m saying Teo is that our actions speak louder than Pineapple Promenade's words! We hand out shirts, we do meet and greets, we take our jobs as the faces of the Cruiserweight division and the champions of the people seriously. We weren’t just out there going for personal glory, we were representing everyone who wanted to see High Octane entertainment every Monday night! And sometimes Sunday nights. And every other night when we’re on tour...
My point is we put our bodies through pain for the people, we are willing to sacrifice everything for the people. We can be battered, bruised, disheveled, and broken, but when that entrance music hits and we get to go down to that ring to fight for those tag team championships we overcome all of that pain! We go in with maximum effort and come back with maximum reward!
I don’t honestly think you can say that for either of the Pineapple girls. They are only here for personal glory, just in it for the accolade. Seriously, what’s that about?”
Teo simply responds with a grin and a wink, and gestures towards another room.
