You don’t want this, Spencer.
Maybe I need to sit you down and explain what this is, maybe if I’d done that instead of just battering you 3 weeks in a row you could’ve avoided being in this mess. It’s my fault, you’re right, I see and then I attack and that’s how you’ve ended up in this position.
My career has been built on pain. I give out more pain than anyone on this entire roster, but I take it too. I don’t just take it, I thrive on it. It’s not a natural way of living, honestly I’d happily make my money another way but what can I say? It pays the bills and I’m fucking good at it. But I pay a heavy price for it. I go through match after match of brutality, weeks of going to darker places than you could ever imagine.
Hardcore Wrestling is a different place altogether, only a small few truly get that. Frank Lowe is a bastard but it’s all for show, he couldn’t push to the depths I could. QDT is an historically good Cruiserweight, but he’s not Hardcore, or even close. In the middle of those two there was the token champion, Derrick Vayden, I think if there’s one thing even you and I can agree on it’s that that guy was a tadpole in a dangerous seas. You think you’re the heir apparent to Corey Black? You’re deluded, you’re a pretender, I’m the Hardcore King now, this is my world, you live in a different one.
I watch you speak and I recognise that you don’t understand any of this. You’re coming into this match with no idea what it’s going to be like. It’s going to hurt, it doesn’t matter if you hurt me because I’m going to hurt you more, that’s how I operate.
You don’t have it in you to go to the depths I’m going to take you.
You don’t want this.
Maybe I should’ve explained all of that to you weeks ago, but what a fucking waste of my time that would’ve been. See Spencer you might be a great talker but you’re one of the worst listeners I’ve ever met. Maybe you do it on purpose but your ability to miss the point is something else indeed.
As I said, I have no doubt that beating Donald Deruty was a phenomenal achievement and at that point 3 years ago Spencer Adams was the best Action Wrestling could offer but you spectacularly missed my point. That was a long time ago, Spencer. In the era where Donaly Deruty wasn’t in charge of Cruiserclash I’m sure you were a big deal, but that’s a different era. An era before you had to change your name to sound cool, an era where being in a big deal in WCF ws presumably still something anyone cared about. I am not saying for one second that that wasn’t your golden era but I am just pointing out that it’s looooong gone, this is my era now. BeachKrew won’t write your ending? Spencer, I’m sure BeachKrew are still as relevant as ever to you but the rest of us have moved on…
You don’t understand me but I understand you.
I understand that you want to hark back to the glory days, I don’t blame you for that but Spencer, this isn’t the way to do it. We’re coming back round to the Havoc Rumble, say you’re retired and then come out to a lukewarm pop that literally everyone saw coming, like everyone else does. Fight a part timer at Evolution and move to 4-0, that’s the smart route for you.
I can see it in your eyes, I can hear it in your voice, you said it yourself... you want relevance. But this is a mistake, a big one. What it takes to hold this title, the pieces don’t fit for you. You’re searching but this is what you’ve found and you don’t want it.
It must be a nice world you live in, believing you’re still the centre of it.
If you’re the puppet master in this situation you’re the shittest puppet master ever because I put your ass in the back of an ambulance three weeks in a row. I accept Pinocchio would’ve been a much better film if he’d knocked Giapetto out every scene but that’s not what happened. Spencer, I’m about as interested in American politics as I am you, but even I know there’s a healthy chunk of American’s who’ll believe there’s a mass conspiracy which has paved the way for the man we’re off to fight in front of this week. Even with that backdrop, nobody is going to believe your conspiracy theory, that you’ve been in charge all this time.
Last week I dropped my guard for one moment, I accept that and I’m angry about it. I underestimated your idiocy and assumed that even if you could still physically walk, you’d have learnt your lesson. I was wrong, as I say, my fault for not making my point more clearly at the start but there’s no hiding now.
You don’t seem to understand that your mouth won’t be able to save you when it’s getting its teeth knocked out of it’s gums. If it makes you feel better calling yourself a hunter and me the prey, I’m absolutely fine with that because on Sunday night the world will realise your gun is a water pistol and I’m a fucking Rhinocerous, Spencer. Try and convince the crowd you’re the big deal and I’m irrelevant when you’re on your back staring at the Washington DC clouds, not even your silver tongue can pull that one off.
It’s nearly time to stop talking. We’re nearly at the bit where I embrace the pain and go places you don’t. This next bit is the part where I dig deep and find my element.
This bit is the bit you don’t want.
