Three banners hang from the ceiling in CJ Phoenix's basement. One of each opponent that he has at Revolution. CJ walks in front of them with a lighter in hand.
Phoenix: I should be upset, right? I have to "earn" my rightful #1 contender spot in a match against three people that I've already beaten, but I'm not upset. I'm just that much more motivated to revolt against the train wreck that CruiserClash has become.
CJ walks over to the Regan Vorhees banner and lights the corner of it on fire.
Phoenix: I saw your potential the moment I first saw you step in the ring. You were clumsy and reckless, but I knew that I could mold you into something greater, so I called you out on your inexperience. You saw it yourself, and you learned from my teachings. That's how you were able to overcome a warrior like Tsukiko. However, you're still sloppy and nowhere near ready to be champion. Plus, you don't care about the fans, the roster, or AW enough to carry that weight. You're just the Vorhees Farms mascot looking to mooch off of AW for attention and endorsements.
He watches the fire consume the remainder of the banner before stepping over to Void's banner. Once again, he lights the corner on fire.
Phoenix: You probably only heard this a handful of times, but I'm proud of you, Void. I revealed to you the truth that you're a scared and lost child. You listened to me and sought therapy. That helped you knock off Alex Scott. Unfortunately, you still have a lot more growing to do. The last thing you need is to even be thinking about becoming Cruiserweight Champion. How can anyone rally around someone who knows themselves even less than their peers know them? If you even throw a title into a void, it would just end up lost and forgotten, just like you. You have no situational awareness, and as long as you cling to that curtain that you hide behind, you'll never be able to grow into a true contender.
The banner burns away completely, leaving one remaining. CJ walks up to it and sets it ablaze.
Phoenix: And then there's you, Sara Pettis. Would you call this reunion "fate"? Would you call your redemption tour "fate"? I saw how you got some of the other ladies to back you up. The crowd loves a good underdog. Someone that fights for them, but you don't. You're still selfish. I'm disappointed because I had the most faith in you. You were a miserable mess when I found you. I could feel your pain from the other side of the arena every time you showed up. I led you back to your confidence, but now you've obtained too much of it. You need to be humbled. The Good Bird gaveth, and now it's time for the Good Bird to taketh away.
CJ safely puts the lighter away and holds an open hand in front of the camera. The hand has an eye painted on it.
Phoenix: Did you notice that those I've taught went 3-0 in the "win and in" matches last week? Do you finally get why I selflessly take time out of MY days to carry others up the mountain with me? It's because I'm the only person that actually cares about the roster. We don't need CruiserClash to devolve into a show-long advertisement for a clumsy competitor's kill shop. We need Void in a straitjacket long before we can have him in any type of title match, and as much as I hate to say it, it's far too early for another "feel good story" like Sara Pettis. We just had one of those to end 2020, and you know what happened afterwards? The title's stock dropped so hard that it's not even being defended Sunday. That's why I HAVE to and WILL win. Not just for me and The Following, but for the future of EVERYONE on the roster! The Ultimate Future built from the ruins of a revolution and the ashes of my opponents!
He covers the camera with the painted hand as the scene ends.
