Adrenaline Rush
The pulse of an adrenaline rush is one of the most addicting things a person can feel. It is unlike anything you can feel and the chase to feel it again is a long one. For Kyle Kemp he has been chasing this feeling for quite some time. He didn’t feel it when he was moving up the card in the WCF. He didn’t feel it when he was fighting Jackson Caine, Dune and Saint Hayze at Battle for New York as part of the WCF roster. He didn’t feel it until about twenty minutes ago and what a feeling it was. The shockwave of adrenaline hit him as he punted Donald Deruty in the face as he made his Action Wrestling debut.
Just thinking about that moment causes his eyes to widen and his pupils to dilate a little. He can see everything in slow motion. The spit flying from Deruty’s mouth as his foot connected and causes his head to whip. The sly smile on Spencer Adam’s face as Kemp dragged him on top of Deruty. The feeling of a mission properly accomplished. It doesn’t get any better than that and now a new chapter begins in Kemp’s life.
Kemp is brought back to the present as Andre Aquarius slaps him on the back. Kemp looks up at him and smugly smiles. “I told you I would come through.”
“You sure did and now look at our boy.” Andre points at Spencer sitting across the room, talking with Lincoln and the smile on both mens face is not what catches Kemp’s eye. It’s the World Title sitting on Spencer’s shoulder. Spencer finally accomplished something that both he and Kemp wished to accomplish back when they debuted within weeks of each other in the WCF three years ago. They were rivals and well….they still are but right now they both need to work together to grab a stranglehold on Action Wrestling. They can turn this company into the image they have always imagined in a good wrestling company. What UCI should have been. “I was surprised you even answered when I called.”
Kemp stands up and looks at Spencer with a sarcastic shocked face. “Come on bro. You and I both know our past runs deep. I wouldn’t ghost you and what you proposed made sense. Just remember that I’m not like the other guys in this group. I don’t need Spencer to lead me. I know what I’m doing and I can help take this group to historical heights.”
“I know and I respect that bro. Just don’t let old baggage get in the way here.”
Kemp looks over at the World Title on Spencer’s lap and grins. “I would never let that happen.” The camera fades away with both men look at Spencer and smiling for different reasons.
Because I Can
We open up on an obviously staged room for an interview between two people. There are two wooden chairs sitting in front of a camera and Shia LaBeouf sits in one of the chairs. He is constantly looking at his watch and frustration is written all over his face. Kyle Kemp is supposed to be here for his first big one on one interview in Action Wrestling and he is nowhere to be found. He had heard rumors of Kemp being a bit of a diva but this is ridiculous! His thoughts are interrupted by Kemp walking into the room. No walking isn’t the right word. Sauntering is the right word. Kemp slides into the other chair and grins at Shia. He is wearing dark skinny jeans, a black button up and has a gold chain necklace around his neck. His hair is perfectly done and Shia can’t help but be amazed.
“You can close your mouth. I know I’m a good looking but Jesus...get a hold of yourself.” Kemp fires at Shia.
“Right. Well...how about we get started!” Kemp just nods and Shia motions for the camera to start rolling. “Ladies and Gentlemen I am happy to introduce you all to Kyle Kemp! He has…”
“Introduce? Come on Shia. You used to be famous. You know people know who you are when you are a big deal. You don’t need to introduce me. Just ask the questions everyone wants you to.”
Shia looks at Kemp uncomfortably. He is not used to the Action Wrestlers giving him so much attitude. “Ok then. Why exactly did you help Spencer Adams help win the World Title at Clash 10?”
“There you go. The answer is quite easy Shia. I did it because I can.”
There is silence as Shia waits for Kemp to keep going but realizes that is not going to happen so he tries to get Kemp to expand for his audience. “Would you like to explain that further? Is that really an explanation?”
“It may not be the explanation that you want Shia or one that all the people watching at home want but it’s the truth. I did it because I can. I can go wherever I want and do whatever I want. I am Kyle fucking Kemp. I am the number one draw in professional wrestling today. Just ask the guys over at WCF. They continued to give me raises and pay me more money just to stay on the roster while they let all of these guys walk over here. They didn’t want me to come over here but I did. Why? Because I can. That is why I now work at both companies and I show up when I want and I go wherever I want and I get paid.”
“That’s a great deal for you but what really doesn’t make sense is helping Spencer Adams. Why in the hell do that? Are you now part of #FightSmart?”
“You're damn right I am. I am part of #FightSmart and that is because it was the smart thing to do. Why show up here without some back up? Why not use the contacts I have made over the past few years and join a couple of guys that I have been in the ring with like Andre and Spencer?”
“Yeah but don’t you and Spencer hate each other?”
Kemp leans back and shrugs. “What can I say? Money talks and teaming up with Spencer is money. You never saw it coming and everyone started talking about it. Any publicity is good publicity and that is why I am on top of my game right now.”
“Well you talk about publicity so I have to ask. Are you going to be part of the Havoc Rumble? Because you announcing that would mean a lot to the ratings I’m sure.”
Kemp laughs. “See you are starting to get it. Yes I will be at the Havoc Rumble and I am going to win it. I want you to imagine this Shia. I win the Havoc Rumble and I go on to Evolution and I face Spencer Adams for the World Title. Just look at the subplots there. You have my and Spencer’s rivalry and the opportunity to finally see who is better. You have two members of #FightSmart, the top group in professional wrestling today. You have a match that people will talk about for years. It’s a no brainer to have us fight each other and I think the fans deserve to see that so that is why I am going to win the rumble and go on to Evolution.”
Shia nods and then he is the one to smile this time. “That sounds great but will you even be at Evolution? There is rumors that you are being investigated for embezzlement and that your non profit, The Kemp Foundation, is also being investigated for money related charges. Did you steal from your charity?”
Kemp’s eyes turn cold. How the hell did Shia know all of this? Kemp stands up and Shia’s eyes turn. He cringes as Kemp takes a step forward, expecting to get hit. Instead Kemp rips the microphone set up off of him and tosses it into Shias lap. “This interview is over.” Kemp storms out of the room, leaving us all to wonder what the hell is going on.
How Did He Know!?
It is an hour after the taping of the interview with Shia and Kemp has made his way back to his hotel room where his agent, Mark Johnson, and his lawyer, Shaina Blair, is waiting. He throws open the door and immediately starts yelling. “He ambushed me! That little bastard ambushed me!” Kemp kicks over a chair and both Shaina and Mark start ushering him to calm down. Kemp finally sits on the hotel room. “He knew about the embezzlement charges but he spun it like I was the one doing the embezzling! I didn’t do anything!”
“I know that but word is going to get out about this. That is the one drawback with your fame. People are going to find out.” Shaina looks at Mark, worried and continues. “You know that we are bound to keep your secret and we have done that but you have to know that you are going to take some heat on this until you let everyone know what the hell is going on.”
“No….no one can know that my mother is alive.”
Mark steps forward and is the one to take the lead this time. “But as long as you take that stance you are going to be the one that takes the heat for this. You and your father and the deal we have made to get you both out of it is more than fair.”
“Fair? I have to pay back the ten million dollars my father stole! Do you think I want to wrestle on two different shows? No! This is how those indy morons get broken necks and end up in wheelchairs. I’m not one of those guys. I’m a draw and I shouldn’t be doing that but I have to put on this stupid front like I want to be in Action Wrestling. In reality I just need to get paid.”
“Well it’s only for a year Kyle unless you win and can renegotiate your contract or can get some major sponsors again. The only issues with the sponsors is that everyone is hearing about your legal troubles and is staying away. You need to give them a reason to have you be the face of their products and not care about the charges.”
“Well that’s easy for you to say. I feel like we need to get out in front of this and let everyone know what is going on.”
“No! You need to ride this wave of positive momentum after that helluva debut. Wait a couple of weeks and then we will let everyone know what’s going on.”
Kemp runs his hands through his hair and then nods. “Fine but until then what do you need from me?”
“Win the Havoc Rumble or at least perform well and then beat Saint Hayze in the WCF on Sunday.”
“Yeah sounds like a cake walk.” Kemp says sarcastically. He knows that he’s in a bind but he also knows that it’s the only way to keep him out of jail. He doesn’t have ten million dollars sitting around and his father has already paid his way out of his charges but because he hates Kyle he won’t bail him out. His father knows he has the upper hand because Kyle won’t out his mother being alive with the hit being out on her. With all that in mind he just has to keep going. Kemp stands up. “I need some air.” He walks out and leaves Mark and Shaina wondering if he is going to be ok.
This Place Needs Me
Saturday will be a special day as it will be the beginning of a reckoning that this company has needed since its inception. Ever since Action Wrestling started they have needed a kick in the ass and they just didn’t know it. If this company is going to last, they are going to need someone to drag the wagon and set them up for a great future. Why do I say this? Because the initial shine of a new company has faded away and people are looking at this company for what it is and as a guy that was looking in on this company a week ago, wondering if I should sign I’ll give you what my honest opinion. This company has a couple months at best without an infusion of real talent. An infusion of a superstar. That is why I came here.
I came here to save you all from the mediocrity that was Action Wrestling. Just look at the champions from before Clash 10. They will all be in the Havoc Rumble and I challenge them all to come at me after what I say here today. First there was Donald Deruty as the World Champion. I took one look at his highlight reel and burst out laughing. I was almost in tears! And I couldn’t tell if it was because I found him so pathetic that it was funny or sad. He was so smug but you could tell it was so forced. He was a generic bad guy. You know….kind of like one of those “mastermind” bad guys in a straight to DVD film that you kill time watching and end up sleeping. That is what the audience was doing when you were on television Donald. They were fucking sleeping. It was right before Clash 10 when you said winners win and losers lose. Well I guess you’re a loser and you can thank me for that.
I do have to say this Donald, it felt good to cave your face in with my foot. I can still feel the crunch of the bone. I can see the instant swelling above your eye. I can close my eyes and see your face the second you realized that A. you lost your World Title and B. that I shocked everyone and was responsible for that loss. Just because you put Roy Speede in a Justice Lock after your match doesn’t make you a bad guy. I just took you to school on being a bad guy and guess what Donald….that was only the beginning. I’m going to eliminate you from the rumble and I’m going to punt you in the face one more time. World Champion? I think not.
However Donald wasn’t the only one not carrying their weight when I looked at this roster. The same could be said for the United States Champion, T.F.K. Oh...do you not get what T.F.K. stands for? Me either. I thought he was a guy stuck in his college years using his frats letters as his name because that’s all he can identify with since he hasn’t really found himself still. And guess what?! It’s worse. He actually abbreviates his made up name that he autofilled on a wrestling video game from 2006. It’s The Franchise Killer. I’ll pause and let you all laugh.
Done? Ok cool. That alone should have set of alarm bells but sadly it only got worse. I started listening to the gibberish that came out of his mouth and it was ridiculous.
As United States Champion he thought he should go to Wal-Mart to reconnect with the people. He claimed he did it because Wal-Mart is America through and through. To that I laugh and disagree. Wal-Mart isn’t America. I’m fucking America. What I do on a daily basis is America. America isn’t about the working class anymore. This isn’t the melting pot of hard workers that are the backbone of this country. Do you know what is the backbone? Rich people like me. Reality stars like me. Celebrities like me. We control this country. I could walk out this door right now and stop in front of the paparazzi in front of my house and tell them all to drink Powerade because it is better than Gatorade and guess what people would do? They’d fucking drink Powerade because I said so. That’s America. Deep down you know it T.F.K. That’s why you get up in the morning and check my Instagram. You look at my SnapChat stories. You sit at home and wish you could be Kyle Kemp. I’m going to show you that you could never be me on Saturday.
That brings me to the Tag Team Champions. Ooof. These guys are rough to watch. There’s no technical skill. There’s no charisma. There’s no it factor. All there is is a couple of guys that have cheated their way through a couple of victories to become Tag Team Champions. They don’t make sense as a team. Let’s look at Felix Stapleton Jr. first. He was a fucking bouncer a few months ago! A bouncer! How does that guy become a champion here unless this company is built on an uneven foundation? Do you know what makes me laugh when I think of this guy? A couple of weeks ago he ranted about he could do well here because everyone here wrestles and he’s a fighter. That mentality has let him get by the riff raff to become a Tag Team Champion but now he’s moved up a level. We are FIGHTING for a shot at the World Title. He may think he’s a fighter but I’ll be happy to show him what professional wrestling is all about. I’d love to send his ass back to that shitty town in Nevada. Let him smoke a cigarette while drinking some piss water like Bud Light and think about how he can die happy because he had his cup of coffee in Action Wrestling but it turns out he was wrong about wrestlers.
Now you did one thing right Felix. You knew you were to stupid and not enough of a talker to move up in this business so you align yourself with the exact opposite of yourself. You teamed up with a blabbering moron with an accent and you hoped he could help talk you to the top but I think you’ve already realized you made a big mistake. Reese has the charisma that you will never have and if anyone is going to be a breakout star of this team it’s him. However you are the muscle and he doesn’t have any and that’s why you are a team. Both of you have major deficiencies and together you can cobble together a B+ player. Congrats but you aren’t a team on Saturday. You are separate and that puts you back to the F players you really are. That’s what I saw when I watched you before I joined. F players with a stupid name. Power Word: Kill? That power word will be fail on Saturday.
Let’s skip right pass the Television Title. I’m here to dominate and a supposed “suplex machine” and “wrestling god” holds no candle to me. Anton Chase waltzed in here and won a title right away. A guy with that kind of gimmick did that! Another guy that found his nicknames on a create a player autofill. Anton has traveled all over the world winning titles. Well that’s what he says he’s done. When I looked at him I saw a pathetic waste of space that has been running on a Lifetime story about losing his parents and working his way to the top for years. It was so sad that I laughed. Who cares? You still suck. The movie is over Anton and your dreams of being World Champion will be as well.
So that brings me to the UCI Title. Wow. What can I say? A title from another company that Corey Bull carries around and seems to think it means something. Oh I forgot. I’m sorry. The Hatebringer Championship. All because he’s a monster and he’s an Angel of Hate. God I can’t keep going. It’s all generic bullshit just like that title.
Last but certainly least is the 201 and Fun Championship. It’s actually held by a guy that I have seen first hand and seen do great things. Zombie McMorris. It also is held by a guy that has lost his way. He’s more concerned about having fun and that’s sad. He used to be so much more but now he’s a shell of himself. He has become a mistake. 201 and Fun. Jesus Christ. At least do something in this match and show me that there’s still something in there.
All of these title holders showed me that I needed to come to Action Wrestling. I needed to come and make an effort to fix the company. That is why I put the World Title on Spencer Adams. That is why #FightSmart is going to win the Havoc Rumble aka why I’m going to win. I’m here to save this company. There’s plenty of others that suck in this rumble as well. Let’s go through them.
Wade Moor: Hahahahahahahaha you thought you could run away from me by coming here. Guess what? I’m here and I’m here for revenge. You thought you and Dune could help take titles from me and then you could run away? I don’t think so. You and I are far from over.
Camila Gonzalez: Just another loud mouth bitch that thinks she’s hotter than she really is. It’s like I told her on social media. She’s just happy to be going first than 28th. #ugly
Roy Speede: The first AW World Champion. Thank God we got a horrible title run out of the way right away. I can’t even imagine where we would be at if he was still World Champ.
Bonnie Blue: God you just have to show up everywhere. Different company. Same result. It’s a big match and you are going to end up falling short.
The Guardians: See what I said earlier about Bonnie Blue.
Petrov: Haven’t we had this discussion before? Oh yeah….it was War last year in WCF and I watched you get eliminated. Something else that won’t change.
Dark Spectre: Just another loser in a mask that can’t cut it.
Rose: Beautiful and a dud. She’s not a draw and that man face of hers just makes her another butherface.
Shadowlove: I don’t even know where to start here. Still getting told what to do by Ms. Miyamoto? You have plenty of small accolades but when it all comes down to it, you’re still the same lost boy that I’ve always seen you as. You always run from companies when the going gets tough and Action Wrestling will be the same.
Everyone else: Well I didn’t have time to talk about you because I’m bored and I’m getting depressed thinking about this shitty roster. #FightSmart is going to end all of you. This is our time.
All of these people are contributors to why this company was floundering. I am here to help #FightSmart lead this company to the top of professional wrestling. With us at the helm this company will be better than it has ever been. Better. That’s what I am and I always have been. For those of you that don’t know and haven’t heard me say it yet. Well….I’m Kyle Kemp and I’m better than you!
