A quiet room. No lights on this time. The only thing preventing complete darkness is a single lantern being held up by CJ Phoenix. He stares at the flame in the lantern and calmly talks to it like he's telling a bedtime story.
Phoenix: Ever had a lucid nightmare before? It's a lucid dream that goes wrong and your subconscious mind holds you hostage, but what if it were real? Like watching your brother get mauled and not being able to say "Oh, it's just a dream. Let me wake up.". It's heartbreaking...and thrilling in my case. I fear no nightmares. That's why I'm here, right, D-Day?
CJ turns his attention to the camera and tilts his head.
Phoenix: You want me to help these poor souls in Regan Vorhees and VOID because you know that it takes a monster to understand other monsters. You're finally starting to realize my capabilities. I'll defeat these adversaries and show them the hope that they need.
He slowly turns his gaze back to the lantern.
Phoenix: The pieces just came together naturally, didn't they Regan? Your brutality and sadism comes from your family's business and the last name that you so happened to have. I'll give you credit. You've adapted quite well into your role both inside and outside of the ring. The way you pass death threats as jokes in order to protect your company's honor is respectable. However, it's not who you TRULY are. You're not the true savage that would go to a slaughterhouse and crave meat afterwards. You're just a stereotype that's so desperate for attention and approval that you take the cheap way out every chance you get. You throw away your integrity and individuality just so you can bend the rules in your matches and be another cliche of the "family business". I know you're afraid to be yourself and venture outside the horror film bubble you're trapped in. More importantly, you're afraid that someone will shine a light and reveal you as the mediocre wrestler and slave to society that you are. Unfortunately for you, I'm bringing your darkest fears into the light so that I can vanquish them while vanquishing you in our match. For the first time, you'll be free to be yourself. I know it'll be scary, but I can guide you to the life that you've been scared to explore.
CJ pauses for a moment to let his words sink in.
Phoenix: And then there's VOID. Of the three of us, he's the most similar to what society would call a monster. A past coated in shadows. Sociopathic and psychotic behavior. Brutality and a total lack of remorse between the ropes. You like making those around you feel uneasy. Like Regan, your strongest weapon is psychological intimidation. You even call yourself "VOID" to add to how ominous your presence is. Personally, I think you should call yourself "VEIL" due to how much you try to hide what I already know. You're hurt and broken. The mask you wear hides the constant tears you shed. You don't admit to feeling terrified because you worry that it'll kill your aura and make you look weak. I assure you that is not the case, for it is during our weakest moments that we find our greatest strengths. Strengths powerful enough to overcome the ruthless and undisciplined mind that you have.
He moves the lantern between his face and the camera.
Phoenix: For example, I could've yelled my head off and made this about revenge for what happened last Clash. I didn't because that would make me just as low as them and just as lost as you two. I'm far better than that, which is why I have been speaking so calmly. My patience has rewarded me with the light of Khepri, the Dawnbringer. Like the sunrise clearing out the darkness of night, I'll guide you out of your lucid nightmares. Don't look at my victory as simply a loss for you two. See it as it really is. The light of hope overcoming your horror troupe despair.
A light flashes, filling the screen with brightness as the scene ends.
