"I heard honking," nearby resident Gail Kuhn told WBZ. "I heard horns blaring and men yelling and engines revving up. This was no 'single-car' accident. This sounded like some kids racing, or even worse, like someone trying to get away from someone else. Like he was being chased."[/columns]
When asked about the witness statement, Sheriff Sorbella said, "there is no evidence whatsoever that this is anything more a heartbreaking accident due to inclement weather. Any noise suggesting otherwise is disrespectful and dangerous."
Benjamin Markey lived nearby in Newton, Massachusetts and was a store manager in-training at a local Wal-Mart.
