Folks, It's story time... “Once upon a time, there were four heroes… “First, a hero from the beautiful land of Milan. Clairmonte was known as the most beautiful man in all of Italy. Clairmonte would even claim that he was one of the best and strongest in all of Europe. But, soon folks, he found himself at the tip of a blade at the hands of the ever-so-beautiful Lady Nash of Karlieton, a veteran fighter, known across the world as ruthless and persistent. He met a gruesome fall from grace, not because of his lack of skill, but because of his arrogance and egotistical attitude. He talked quite a talk, but failed to protect what matters the most, deciding to shield his valuable face, commonly viewed as his only value, leaving his body wide open. After a smooth swipe to the both knees, Lord Clairmonte found himself with a leg to stand on.”
Damian flips the book around to show a man dressed regally, legless. He flips the page, depicting a beautiful Samurai.
“Now, a Samurai, known only as Rei. Rei was a strong-willed, lawful woman, but she soon realized that she had only a taste for blood. So, she went travelling through a violent land, The New World of America. She travelled for many days, slaying many vile beasts, and even a human or two. She seemed to be quite skilled in her art of violence, yet it seemed that, when Rei was presented with golden opportunities, she would come up short. As the story goes, there was once a large tournament, with 20 or so differing beings. Rei found herself against a Wizard.Though, she tried her hardest, the Wizard defeated her with ease, Disappointed by her defeat, she sought revenge on the Wizard, so she searched for him. In her search, she came across a sack. As she searched through the sack, however, she was ambushed by a bandit, and defeated swiftly yet again.”
Damian flips the page yet again, showing a man with a black eye mask covering his sorrowful face.
“Jedidiah the Kid comes from the heat of Arizona. A resourceful man, he would attack the countrymen, taking even the clothes off their backs. He would bask in his treasures, collecting food, gold, and even a few trinkets. But one day, Jedidiah came across the best opportunity he could imagine. Fleeing from his last score, he came across our samurai digging through the sack she found. He defeated her and took the treasure for himself. In the sack, a map to Chaos cave, where the now Mad Wizard resides. He found the cave, and confronted this Wizard, yet even with his foe distracted, he failed to capture the prize, and the Wizard disappeared, artifact in hand.
Damian flips the page once again, depicting the Wizard from the previous tales.
“Now, folks, comes the most powerful of our heroes. Once a king, he soon fell on hard times as his kingdom fell. He found himself in a new kingdom, where he found nobody who appreciated his regality. He even attempted to usurp the throne but was banished to the lower regions of the land. He soon caught wind of a tournament that could help him regain his lost glory. So he entered, and, unshockingly, he won! But he soon found a thorn in his side in the form of a knight from his old land. He then defeated the Spider King that held it captive, despite the knight’s best efforts. As the knight got more persistent, however, the Wizard lost his mind. The knight seemed to get to the wizard in devious ways, and soon his sense of self was vacant from his body.”
Damian closes the book, looking right into the camera.
“Today, the four heroes find themselves in a strange predicament. The three foes now must put their differences aside to defeat their own demons, for, if they succeed, they will have an opportunity to enter into the court of the best Kingdom of the lands, Actionia. But, spoiler alert, kiddies. These warriors stand no chance at success, as they haven’t the ability to step outside themselves. And that, will be their downfall. The end.”
