There's a lot of concern for the future of Quixote Della Torre following a concussion suffered following a stiff headbutt from Jacqui M on Monday Night Clash.
Many influential people in the company are big supporters of "The Spitfire"; smoothening the way for the 21 year old Englishman to finally smash the main event picture this Summer. However, he has lingering detractors who hold trepidation for his worrying concussion record and unstable personal life. There's still an unrelenting notion that QDT is better at the top of the Cruiserweight Division where he's given spotlight and autonomy but the fall from grace is a little less damaging. With the incredible rise of superstars like Graham Baker, James Nightingale, Matthias Mintzel and Carter Shaw, the 4 time Cruiserweight Champ is certainly seem as less indispensible as he was back in December when voted "Future World Champion" at the AW 2019 Awards.
This reporter cannot remember such a sharp sink or swim status for a superstar before. Serious cases can be made for QDT to be next World Champion. Equally serious cases can be made to release him from his contract; at least until life steadies for him. What will happen with the youngster? It could honestly go either way, but it seems to really come down to him now.
