Gimmick type: the fool
*summery*
The fool is an odd gimmick. It's both fun to use and easy to maintain but hard to keep going in the long term
While not always joke characters, they are mostly silly gimmicky characters that are mainly always face and fun to read.
Primary a veteran use gimmick, its seem as a primary source of fun and creative outlet
The fool is not competitive but can easily be hyper competitive in the rights hands due to the fact that it takes high creativity to play and strong writing to master
The fool is often a low card character but extremely vital to the feds ecosystem and the handler is normally OK with that. That's by design not the handlers lack of talent. In fact, often times, the highest skilled players do this just for fun.
The fools known for crazy adventure, commentary and often being the most beloved in the community. Crazy, unpredictable. A wild card for most. A pipe bomb for others. The fool gives the fed its flavor
It's not a gimmick to haphazardly pursue nor is it one to get sustained success. They are an outlier because they exist for personal fun and not competition
* survival *
Loss: Low
Booking: Low
Burnout: Low
Longevity: Med
Survival rank: 4 of 5
Pros: squishy. you can take the hits and keep going.
Cons: skill threshold is a mix bag. card placementis lacking. longevity is questionable.
Tire Placement: Low card
Fed Utility: wins and losses are mixed. the gimmick exists for fun so feeding most everyone is going to happen.
You can win and get belts but the nature of the gimmick makes it seem selfish. you're there to lift up the low card.
*breakdown*
Ease of use: 4 of 5
This is misleading. The gimmick is one of the hardest but for those who use it well, it's very easy.
Creativity level: max
You'll need high creativity to make this gimmick work and endear the character to the readers. Or else you risk the fed turning on you
Writing style: low
You will not need strong writing style to make this gimmick work but if you are strong, it's a cake walk
Recommended skill: veteran
I suggest this gimmick to vets only. You need to have been in long enough to be comfortable with using this gimmick and its quirks
Degree of success: low
It's not a knock on the gimmick, more so this is the nature of the gimmick. It can get high card status. Some can even maintain for short periods but it's rare.
Overall recommendation: 2 of 5
The fool ends up the 3rd or 4th tier character for a handler with high creativity a strong stomach for volatility and is apathetic to loss.
This character exists because the handler chooses creative fun over competition. Typically not used for hyper compitition or long successful runs. Again, by design.
Only vets need apply to this gimmick
