Alice & The Seven Monsters
A Fable from The Hard as Fuck Girl
Alice, the fierce Cruiser Warrior of the mighty Kingdom of Caerenta, the rightful holder of the Cruiserweight Championship and heir to the Cruiserweight throne, was one day given the honour of competing in the Action Wrestling Battlebowl tournament. She kissed her two darling young children a loving kiss each and wished them a fond farewell, crossing the long Atlantic Ocean, wading her way through a Covid ravaged world until she arrived at Monday Night Clash. She thought bravely alongside another, winning both her matches and earning her spot in the Battlebowl match at the Battlefield PPV.
The grand prize for winning the Battlebowl match? The coveted final entry spot in the prestigious Havoc match.
Alice continued to voyage across the vast land, eventually arriving at her next destination, Lexington, Kentucky, she looked up to the LCD signs lighting up the side of the large arena, written across in large lettering: Action Wrestling: Battlefield - Battlebowl II.
Alice entered the arena full of hope and optimism, she knew that she had a huge opportunity in front of her. She opened her phone; the wallpaper of her children an instant reminder of why the pain and sacrifice was necessary.
Ahead of the fierce Cruiser Warrior was a battle with poor odds, eight to one. In order for the brave Alice to be victorious in her battle, she would have to slay seven monsters, each with their own agenda and thirst for success. The ruler of the land, Lady Camila had stacked the odds against our mighty heroine, not only was the battle ahead an over the top rope battle royal, the ring would be surrounded with Tables, Ladders and Chairs.
Alice was wise and courageous, she would never back down from a fight. The name Hard as Fuck was bestowed upon her for a reason. Having been deserted by her husband, lost to darkness, she stayed in the light, and fought tooth and nail to raise two young children as well as train to become the fierce Cruiser Warrior we now have in front of us.
Alice walked out to the ring, looking across at the arena, taking in one last moment to plan her attack later that night. She had seven monsters to slay, to have her arm raised as the winner.
“The IllumiDaddy” Wesley, the current ruler of the United States throne, a leader of the weak minded and a leach to others talent. Wesley would often surround himself with the weak as a shield, afraid that being on his own would lead to him being exposed for the fraud he really was. His behaviour would resemble that of a paedophile, grooming his next victim. First it was Ariel Shadows, groomed then left for dead. Next it was The Cool Kids, their weak minds filled by the poison spoken from The IllumiDaddy’s mouth. When his needs were filed, their worth no more and their careers on a steep downward trajectory, they were disposed of, left on the scrap heap. His next victim was already being groomed, Masuda Teijin, a young boy from the land of the rising sun. If only he knew of the horrors that awaited him, he would try to escape from The Illumidaddy’s clutches. Alice disapproved of Wesley’s tactics, and vowed to slay the monster, by throwing him out of the ring before he could harm anyone else on his way to Havoc.
The Illumidaddy had formed an unhealthy relationship with another monster, Zombie McMorris. A legendary monster from the past, with special regeneration powers making it increasingly difficult to defeat “The Honey Badger”. McMorris had achieved many famous victories in battle, once throwing another man into an active volcano, yet those famous victories had soon became tales of the past. He was now less relevant then before, his rambling nature similar to that of an elderly dementia patient. His decreasing ability in the ring meant that he had to resort to using underhanded tactics, and the use of weapons. His victory stats were padded out during his Hardcore Tour after being fed weak opponent after weak opponent, however his weakness was finally exposed when he lost the final match of the tour at Revolution. Alice knew that now was the time to finally euthanise the deteriorating legend from the past, his hardcore abilities would be no match for her Hard as Fuck powers.
The next monster was the biggest of them all, but not necessarily the baddest. A behemoth of a man, Corey Bull. “The Hatebringer” was a giant of a man, all six foot ten of him. Although Bull had been a successful warrior in other kingdoms, he had failed to live up to his stature in the Kingdom of Action Wrestling. His mind was broken and twisted, his ugly face covered with a mask. He had a strange fascination with women, he would make disturbing mannequins of them and would parade them around like trophies. Yet these reminded the world of how pathetic The Hatebringer truly was, a loser in life, a loser in the ring, there was no way he would ever feel the touch of a woman. He would have to make one for himself out of wood and cloth to violate as no woman would willingly climb onto that monster. The only exception would be to pin Bull, to defeat his broken body. Fortunately for Alice, she was not be required to climb onto the monster, simply breaking his clasp from around her neck and throwing him out of the ring would be enough to slay this grotesque monster.
Aiding The Hatebringer's campaign was the next monster, The Raging Dead. Another older monster, like McMorris, Dead had a long and prestigious history as a warrior. He had an endless list of accolades before ascending upon the shores of the Action Wrestling Kingdom. Upon his first campaign, he was successfully crowned the new holder of the Cruiserweight Championship. Yet that was as far as his success would take him. Entering the Battlebowl would prove to be an anxious time for Dead, his biggest defeat occurring in a similar battle, The Cruiser Havoc Rumble, being unseated as the ruler of the Cruiserweight Championship by the almighty QDT. His faction, and then failed tag team, The MadClan, would soon crumble away. Worse yet, Dead had begun a war with Dagvald Riddik, a noble Norwegian warrior seeking to gain momentum in the kingdom, defeating the ageing veteran would be a large trophy win for the hungry warrior. With The Raging Dead having to look over both shoulders, the anxiousness of being thrown over the top rope yet again and the incoming threat of “The NeoNordicist”, this would be enough of an opportunity for the mighty Alice to vanquish The Raging Dead for the final time.
The next monster in Alice’s sight was a confused one, one with a lack of identity, Teo Blaze. Blaze was struggling to find his place in the kingdom. He sometimes would cover his face with a mask, or change his name entirely as he sought the feeling of belonging. Like many others, he had reigned as ruler of other kingdoms, most notably, the poisonous kingdom of WCF, yet despite navigating those treacherous waters, he wasn’t able to find the same level of success here in Action Wrestling. It was clear why; he was only able to become ruler of WCF after all of the stronger warriors had fled to this kingdom, his reign only a very minor footnote in the annals of time. Blaze would hope that his “Blazing Knee” would be strong enough to overcome Alice, yet our heroine would prove that Hard as Fuck could easily counter the attack if executed, she would have no qualms in eliminating the last remaining hope of the weakest warrior in the field.
The final two monsters were connected, born from the same womb, draped in gold. They were the co-rulers of the Tag throne, The Adler Twins.
First “The Show Stealer”, Cassidy Adler. The name was full of false pretences, there was nothing show stealing from Cassidy Adler’s wrestling ability. He had proven time and time again to be a cowardly warrior, appearing to have very little combat skills. He had resorted to slaps and below the belt shots to pave his way to victory, and had an over reliance on his sister for helping him gaining the upper advantage in combat. He appeared to have an unusual fascination with his sister, perhaps not a natural relationship between two siblings. Nothing had been proven, but rumours were rife throughout the kingdom of a potential incestuous relationship. Having been born into a wealthy family, Cassidy had been used to getting his own way throughout his life, yet Battlebowl would prove to be one accomplishment too far for The Show Stealer. Cassidy was everything Alice hated in this world, and nothing would give her more pleasure than eliminating him from the match, and watching him squirm as he throws a fit of rage on the outside.
That leaves us with one final monster that must be slain, one which will prove to be more difficult for Alice to overcome, “The Shrike” Olive Adler. Olive had been Alice’s partner during the journey throughout the Battlebowl quest, forming the team known as “The Crazy Bitches”. They had formed a successful combination, defeating both “Microwaves & Bondage” and “Hearts & Vaydes”. Alice executed the winning offensive maneuvers, whilst Olive scored the roll up pinfalls. Yet throughout their successful campaign, Alice grew wary of Olive’s devious ways, similar to her cowardly brother, Cassidy. Because of this Alice decided to have a “keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer” mentality. She witnessed as Olive aided Cassidy’s progression in the tournament, even putting herself in harm's way, which could have ruined Alice’s chances of success if Olive obtained a serious injury. It finally dawned on Alice that both Olive and Cassidy would likely turn on her once inside the final battle. Alice vowed to target Olive, striking first, stabbing the traitor in the back before she herself can be betrayed, and throwing her over the top rope, so they could not mastermind another cheap victory.
Upon defeating the seven monsters ahead of her, Alice would truly achieve the unthinkable; a Cruiser Warrior winning Battlebowl II, and gaining that final entry spot in the Havoc match.
It was truly unthinkable that this achievement could be completed by a Cruiser Warrior, as they were often belittled by the titans of the Action Wrestling Kingdom for their size disadvantage. Yet Alice fought valiantly and bravely whilst proudly representing her Cruiserweight division. This quest would see her ascend throughout the ranks of her people and show the world that she is the true heir apparent to the Cruiserweight Title, and that she would return from her successful Battlebowl campaign to claim her throne from the interim thrown holder.
Alice looks again at the photo of her young children as a final reminder why she must navigate Wonderland to achieve her dreams, and why no Prince Charming would be needed.
That she would stand tall against the seven monsters ahead of her, have her sword at the ready as she marched into the mouth of Hell, slaying monster one after another, throwing them each over the top rope and to the floor all in the name of raising her flag in victory for her people, the Cruiser Warriors.
And after the battle is over and won, she would return through the Covid ravaged lands back to her Kingdom of Caerenta, to her biggest fans, her young children, to tuck them into bed and to tell them how much she loved them and that this was all for them.
Fables are short stories teaching a lesson, the lesson here? The love of our children will drive us to slay all the world's monsters, at Battlefield, Alice slayed seven.
The End
