So, those who have looked at Texacutioner...what do you think so far? He's not exactly subtle, while at the same time his moveset is not very flashy. But, that aside, any thoughts?
PS, am I using this thread wrong? Am I supposed to use this thread to instead offer my feedback to other people's work? I suffer from Newbienitus, I apologize.

Nah man you're good, somebody's gotta ask for feedback for feedback to be given lol. We're here for all your "newbie" questions and welcome all newcomers. Just looking at your roster page, I like what I'm seeing. I'm trying to make a video guide on fleshing out roster pages so hopefully I can give some useful feedback. I like the gimmick, kinda like a redneck Orange Cassidy if I can be forgiven for boiling it way down. Being a mechanic I work with a lot of people like this so I instantly get what you're going for. I like all the names for your signature moves and the entrance is good. I think you'll be a good fit because I can tell you have a vision for the character. I also really like the custom move for Gallows. Efedding is an opportunity to just go wild with moves, really. Joey Flash is one of our top guys and his move "The World" is literally him stopping time lol.
If I am to offer some constructive feedback, I'll hit on two points. Number one, in your bio you went with the mysterious figure shtick and there's nothing wrong with that per se, though you will find here in Action Wrestling we probably have the most fleshed out and detailed lore for our characters out of any fed. Some of us have been doing this for twenty years, and even the new guys have put a lot of thought into their wrestler's background and life story. What will keep me interested in your character is following along with your roleplays to see if I can learn about him, where he's been, what brought him into wrestling, what his daily struggles are, etc. etc. A second point would be his tweener alignment, just because that can come off as overplayed in the world of efedding, though I can understand it to a point. In efedding you just get put against who you get put against, face against face, heel against heel, it doesn't seem to matter like in real wrestling so being tweener kind of just makes sense. That being said, after reading your bio and your style, I'd bet Tex would be fairly popular with the crowd. They may appreciate his hitman demeanor and he'd definitely be related to by a large part of the American audience. The reason I bring this up is if you pick if you want to be heel or face it can go a long way helping you decide how you want to shoot on your opponents. Ironically, the last "southern" gimmick efedder we had decided to leave the fed because "face shoot like heels and heels shoot like faces." I don't think his assessment was accurate, but that is a pitfall which *could* be fallen into if you're not careful. The more you understand your character's voice, the more easily you will write him and the more success will come from that here in Action Wrestling. The key to success here I think is uniqueness, and you definitely have the potential for it.
It's a bit hard to give feedback just on a roster page but like I said that's kinda what I've been trying to do lately, so I hope this is what you were looking for. Most importantly I hope you stay motivated and stick around!

I didn't even think of Orange Cassidy. But you're right, there are some parallels there. But, y'know, if OC was a bit more mean in his delivery. The tweener thing makes a lot of sense, I think I wanted to leave it open so that Tex can go in whatever direction he needs to for a story or a feud. But before long, I think you're right, I should point him in a specific direction. I don't actually understand what that guy means by that. Is he using a gunslinging metaphor that the lines of morality are too blurred for his liking, or 'shoot' in the wrestling sense?
EDIT: I completely forgot to talk about point number one that you made. Yeah, I made this character like moments ago, so I wasn't sure about giving him some grand elaborate history. "Oh yeah, this guy's held every single belt that I imagined in my head two minutes ago, he's a decorated vet!" I'm find with keeping him a vague mystery right now, mainly because I myself don't know what I might or might not add to him. I mean, I have some rough ideas, but I don't feel any of that counts until I rp and actually lay down some canon.

I believe he meant that our face characters don't smack talk their opponents like a WWE face would. And in a sense yeah that's 100% true. That's what makes efedding interesting, we're not shackled by rules and regulations like that. He thought that faces shouldn't slinging insults and offensive comments as far as I can tell. I figure that by saying heels shoot like faces, he meant how a meta here is to lend some creedence to your opponent's legitimacy as a competitor before tearing into them so that your victory is more legitimate itself. For example, my character Dag is a big time heel, and I fought face Jaice Wilds not long ago. By all account Dag could have absolutely ripped into the guy and thrown out all credit he may have been owed, but when Dag beat him, it wouldn't be considered anything special because he just spent a week saying how trash and meaningless Jaice is as a competitor. So in summary, find how your character would speak and what his style of smacktalk is, give your opponents credit where it's due, then tell them WHY you will STILL beat their ass and how much that victory over them will mean to you in the long term.

Oh yeah. Well that just comes with the territory of e-fedding. We aren't putting together actual matches, we aren't snapmaring each other or throwing chairs around, we're just writing rps and promos.
And because we're only writing promos, it's just good form to put the other guy over and let him get his shit in, right? Instead of just not cooperating with the other person's gimmick.

I can't offer much Dag hasn't but I like the look of The Texacutioner so far. Looking forward to reading your RPs and segments. Welcome.
Have you been in many feds before? Is this the first rodeo of The Texacutioner character in e-fedding? Let us know if you need anything.

I've been in one or two before in my life. You know, always the bridesmaid never the bride but it's always a fun trip.
In terms of Tex here, yeah. Never made him before for anywhere else, this is a fresh creation. Maybe not in general, but for me he is.
