I have it on good authority that QDT has not arrived in Chicago for tomorrow's XIII event as anticipated and officials are starting to sweat as to his whereabouts. A camera crew arrived at a designated location yesterday but found that the English superstar had stood them up. Quixote's last public communication was on March 4th with a mysteriously mournful Tweet.
Backstage chatter indicates that "The Fortress" was furious following the loss of his beloved Cruiserweight Title on Rush and felt that the company had sold him down the river. Allegedly he asked for his release that very night but was rejected, though this is far from confirmed.
It will be interesting to see whether QDT sends in a promotional video for his match against Matthews in what is being advertised as a "British Wrestling Match". If not, we will have to wait and see whether Quixote appears on the night itself.
I spoke to officials who acknowledged concerns but dismissed the possibility of QDT's departure. They believe he is just feeling the emotional toll of a troubling few months personally and the loss of his title. But are they right to be so assured? Is their confidence misplaced? Will we see QDT in Action Wrestling again? This is an intriguing situation in development. Hopefully we'll have more news soon.
