Now that this month is in the books, I’d really like to hear from anyone for feedback on The IllumiDaddy Wesley. Not so much general roleplay feedback, but more so on the character. I’m always on a mission to be better than my last roleplay and what I could do to make the character stand out more in Action Wrestling.
Hit me up and I’ll definitely get you back with some feedback of my own.

Having read the majority of your character's arc fairly recently, hopefully I can offer something useful. You've created a very genuine and flowing character evolution for Wesley in a compact and condensed format. As I tried to convey in my RP against you, Wesley has been through the difficulty of losing his father. He tries to fill the void left by this role model with lackies who will look up to him in turn. His original party boy style is very reflective of the usual attitude of modern male college attendees. This was a good start, but it lacked in depth and was like a concentrated essence of the more lighthearted aspects of BeachKrew without their darker sides. To build the character, he needed that emotional connection the audience could make with him, but it wouldn't be easy to make a serious shift like that. The decision to have his wife abandon and subsequently cheat on him with one of his own closest buddies was a brilliant move. It's too easy to believe that could send someone down a sinister path. Despite the improvement in character development which was easily noticeable in each roleplay at this time, a slew of very skilled opponents sort of hindered what could have been Wesley's moment to break out and shine. I know you, and I know you didn't let this get to you when someone of lesser caliber may have. In fact I think it was this difficult start that may have helped you commit to this character even more so. I have a feeling you wanted to take on the challenge of trying to make this former playboy cruiserweight a main event star who's taken seriously.
In order to achieve, Wesley needed some more character development. A very, very natural move was to go with a new love interest to fill the space left by losing Ari. Forming a tag team with Ariel clearly added a lot to the character, but he still suffered the feeling of regret and indecision over whether he should have ever committed to wrestling in the first place. Still unable to find a good footing, you reflected this in Wesley's character. Everything that happened fed into his personality and storyline.
I think that's the best thing about Wesley. His struggle is about finding himself, trying not to be just another fuccboi, trying to be something and someone important not only to himself but to others. He started off needing people for validation, but now he wants to be there for others. His involvement with the Cool Kids is patriarchal in a way. He wants to be the father figure he is missing in his own life. But this is also developing into a darker intention. After the emotional damage he's been through, he's not sure he can keep this up. He is still afraid of being turned on by the people he cares about. He is still trying to decide if he should turn on them before they get the chance themselves. Maybe that was always the plan with those he surrounded himself with since Ari left him, but now he has to reckon with the scars of what he did to Ariel... and it ain't fuckin easy. Wesley is at a point of divergence where he could continue in his role of mentor, where his heat comes from his brutal tactics in the ring and the percption that he will do whatever it takes to win, including surrounding himself with lackeys with whom he exchanges favors.
OR, he could turn on and destroy the Cool Kids in a ruthless assault. He could become the monster heel he has the potential to be, but is struggling with accepting. He is a man on a mission for gold, and his past failures haunt him every waking moment. It seems for the moment, he is going to continue with his current path of working together with the cool kids. Why fix what isn't broken? He's already left behind one bit of dead weight, and there's no need to throw the baby out with the bathwater. The Cool Kids weren't in conflict with his aspirations, and now he's sitting comfortably in the US title match at Rush after beating three singles competitors who can't be dismissed. The danger for the Cool Kids will probably only come if the match at Rush doesn't go Wesley's way. I can see him wallowing in his insecurity, then indignantly unleashing it upon his stablemates.
That's how I perceive the character of Wesley. He is struggling to overcome his own feelings of inadequacy by surrounding himself with others whom he can blame for his shortcomings when push comes to shove. This is a very stable foundation for a character which has allowed for so many interesting feuds and arcs so far. I think at some point, in order to reach the world title picture, he will have to reckon with this fatal flaw and quash all doubt about his potential by going it completely alone. In order to win the biggest prize there is, he has to be viewed as a legitimate threat on his own merit. Right now, he doesn't even see himself that way in the back of his mind. There will come a time where he is out of yesmen to use for his own benefit, and while he may find that difficult to deal with at first, if he can continue the success he is enjoying right now, this will finally serve as a boost to his own legitimacy and self esteem, allowing him to take the huge leap which always comes with a world title shot.
I hope some of that is useful! I don't really know the best way to give feedback, but I like to give my perception of a character, from which, maybe the handler can see if he's managed to get across the aspects of his wrestler which he wanted to.

This is actually an extremely spot on thesis of the Wesley character. The attention you pay to the even the smallest detail is an unrivaled ability and something that will definitely carry you to the top of Action Wrestling as soon as Dagvald plants firm footing here.
When I initially signed up with the character, I never had any intention of using him outside of the CW Division (then known as the 201 and Fun) but it’s been a journey that this character has taken me on. I wouldn’t say everything you’ve mentioned I’ve done intentionally, it’s all been an organic but natural progression with the character over time.
My original plan for when I left the 201 division as Wesley was to have him switch gimmicks like 20 times in the CW Division before hopping to the main roster, then getting mad at management because he was able to turn their chicken shit into chicken salad kind of thing. I’ve enjoyed the more serious route I’ve been able to take with him though for sure.
And a little tasty tidbit for the future: his dads not actually dead. That will come to play a role in his journey at some point but it’s more or less finding the timing for it. Maybe we’ll see him sooner rather than later though.
I’ll try to hit you with some more in depth feedback for Dagvald a little later when I get back from the store, but for now I’ll leave you with this:
I’m enjoying this take on Dagvald as opposed to previous versions I’ve seen. It’s a more mature, though still damaged, version of the character and it opens a lot of fun avenues for you to explore with the character.
