The sounds of children giggling and playing can be heard somewhere in the darkness.
The sounds of heavy footsteps follow, echoing through out.
A familiar voice pierces through the laughter of children and it grabs attention instantly as if his words bring with it years of wisdom.
"Humble, Teo… That's what we must be, when we had to prove to have been true leaders of The People, do you know what i mean?"
A shimmer of moonlight creeps its way through ruffled curtains and the man with the mesmerizing voice is none other than Kevin Bishop, dressed in his man in black motif and hair in a loose topknot.
"You lead The People before me, believe me, not a single soul lets me forget that little tidbit, but the one thing that doesn't come up is how SELECTIVE you were in those with whom you called your 'people'. Sure at the time nobody could tell the difference, because gee golly Teo was so 'over', he practically had stars and stripes spewing from his anal cavity on any given Sunday just to appease the fans… The People… His PEOPLE..."
A sound of a slow hiss of a horse stringed bow runs up the neck of a violin and then lets out a loud ear bursting squeal.
"Then there were MY PEOPLE, Teo… The ones you turned a blind eye to because they weren't apart of your little fantasy filled world… They were those who swore allegiance to The Corey Blacks, The Zombie McMorris, and The Kevin Bishops of this world. They didn't choose to chant along to the blind Teo faithful…"
Kevin smirks as he slowly walks forward, in an almost ominous floating fashion.
"Go ahead, stare back to the past with your rose colored glasses and see ALL the good times, overshadowing the pesky bad… See the great Teo Del Sol, Blaze, or whatever name you went by Teddy and pretend to be the hero not the perpetrator of anguish amongst those you didn't see fit… You see unlike you Teo, i welcomed everyone into my ranks and they all knew they were apart of a cause bigger than any single thing in this hate filled world… We all wanted BETTERMENT, Teo and The Brotherhood skyrocketed off one god forsaken word, all the while you had your trips down the rabbit hole trying to find the true YOU… The Teo who represented The People, but once unshackled by the burden, once you dropped that title down to WCF's newcomer of the year, you knew you could set your sights higher, again ME, just another person who didn't fit your mold to give two shits about… The great fucking hero, Teo Del Sol, the measuring stick for all around good guys in professional wrestling, standing upon a falsehood and choosing to overlook anything that'd combat his status quo… Just to keep that image up, huh?"
Kevin looks at all the black eyed children standing in the dark hallway around him.
"Don't worry, Teo, we're doing just fine…"
The children all giggle in unison.
"But we all KNOW SOMETHING YOU DON'T KNOW…"
The children all laugh repeating the line over and over again.
"We all KNOW SOMETHING YOU DON'T KNOW… HEE HEE…"
Kevin shivers a bit, a smile holding tight to his face.
"You speak of wanting to know the truth. as if you think it'll truly set you free…"
Kevin waves an index finger toward the camera before him.
"But that's just you isn't it, Teo? It's the man you've been all these goddamn years, the man forever seeking the gratitude of reaching the pinnacle of the company, no matter who you leave in your wake… You survived depressed Teo stage, masked Teo stage, King of All Media stage, and even Mr. Rose tinted glasses who only remembers those good old days… Eager to keep that image no matter what form stands in front of a camera…"
Kevin shrugs.
"Let's face it, Teo, you've never seen Kevin Bishop on your level… I'm still that newcomer in WCF you chose to drop The People's title to all those years ago… Hell, you weren't even afraid that I was going to surpass your record, you didn't bat an eye that i was so close…"
Kevin notices one of his black eyed children holding something shiny draped over his lap.
"Be careful, my son, that'll lead you to years of obscurity and heartache as you try to claw your way through quicksand to reach an unattainable top…"
The WCF Peoples Title shines bright and Kevin barely wants to touch it as if it has a curse spewing a hex off of it.
"I left it behind me, just like Teo did, but unlike him I brought MY PEOPLE with me to my triumphs. The People were right there when I BROKE RECORDS IN UCI AND BECAME MULTI TIME UCI WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!"
Kevin's eyes black over and a wave of blackness washes over the hall, dimming even the shine from The People's title.
"I've seen your struggles through many eyes, Teo and it is within this vessel I will see you fall once again. All of your flaws and all of your lies will be laid out for the entire world to see. You've squandered every chance you've been handed in Action Wrestling, still clinging to the fact that you finally did 'IT' in WCF… Only thing is, not a single thing translated over to here, now has it? You're thinking that this entire program is going to lead you to some greater level of your very own being, but I'm here as a harbinger of bad news, Teo… We are going to put you down like we have been doing at every turn, just this time we will do right in front of you, with a smile on all the same."
A sinister smile and eyes as black as death.
"You're so caught up in masks and figures from your past… As we are demanding a future for us and ALL OF OUR CHILDREN. A future without false heroes who only look down upon us as he lifts himself higher… You'll only get so high, though Teo before your house of cards come crumbling down all around YOU! WE SHALL RISE IN YOUR FALL and you cannot do a thing about it to stop US. Proven time and time again, different vessel, yet same outcome. Teo your truth will only imprison you further… IT WILL NOT SET YOU FREE!"
A loud cackle as the lights in the hall all burst and we are left in the dark.
The sounds of heavy footsteps follow, echoing through out.
