*A camera fades in on Central, a popular restaurant in Montgomery, AL, as Campbell Chase walks towards the door.*
Campbell Chase: This restaurant here is one of the finest establishments in all of Montgomery. It symbolizes gravitas and class. You could almost say that this restaurant is a lot like me. The image projected in the mind when viewing this building, it’s a strong structure, built on a foundation that will never be broken. I’m much the same and that’s why Action Wrestling has given me the opportunity to become the common bearer for their promotion. I’m not talking about being the World Champion. No, that’s not what a common bearer is. Common bearer’s are the men and women who defend every week, without fail, taking on all comers. The representation of a brands true top star, well, that would be the Television Champion.
*Campbell opens the door and walks in, motioning for the camera man to follow him.*
Campbell Chase: I rented this place out to myself. It keeps it nice and serene and allows me to focus. I’m not gonna party or think of having a sub par music career. I’m just gonna sit and think while enjoying a nice meal. Which brings me to the person standing between myself and the Television Championship. Estrella Luiz, I’ll commend you for holding on to that strap for as long as you have. What is it, a month and a half now, defending on every single Monday Night Clash since gaining the gold. It’s impressive, I won’t lie, but I’ve seen some red flags about you and you’re little group of “friends”. You call yourself the cool kids, and you have each others backs.
*Campbell walks to his table chuckling as he thinks of what he just said*
Campbell Chase: That’s real cute, that you stand up for each other. I really loved the fact that they seemed to try and jump in and fight the battle for you. Estrella, you’re young, you’ve got raw talent just waiting to explode from within you. What holds you back is your reliance on others. You don’t need friendships in this business. You don’t need allies. All you need is the knowledge that you are the absolute best. The belief that you are the top tier and that anybody who aligns themselves with you, is only with you so they can capitalize on your success. It’s a waiting game. They want to stab you in the back. This is a dog eat dog business and it takes a pitbull mentality. Do you have that within you? I don’t know that you do.
*A waiter approaches the table.*
Campbell Chase: Let me stop you there, sir. I’ll take a Cabernet Sauvignon and an order of your Roasted North Carolina Chicken. Thank you.
*The waiter leaves to put in Campbell’s order.*
Campbell Chase: Back to the important aspects here. One thing that has irked me more than anything is the complete lack of people who seem to believe that I am going to take your title, Estrella. I mean, let’s take a look at my track record. I’m the Sinister Pure Champion, a perfect 6-0 in singles competition, and since starting in these promotions, I’ve skyrocketed to main event status. It’s prolific and it amazes me that people still want to fight me on the fact that I’m changing this business back to what it once was. Pure sports acumen and talent will forever trump some kid with problems. Potential yes, but you’ve got to move past just having potential and become the performer you were meant to be. That involves taking inevitable defeats when they come around. This is one of those times.
*The waiter brings Campbell his drink.*
Campbell Chase: Thank you, my good man. Ultimately,
*Campbell takes a sip of his wine.*
Campbell Chase: What makes me angrier than anything is that when I woke up this morning, I saw that Action Wrestling had released the card for their upcoming Revolution 3 show. On that show, Estrella, you’re scheduled to defend in a gauntlet. I said to myself, just wait one minute here. You’ve still got to get through me. This tells me that the fans don’t believe in me, you most certainly don’t believe I can take your title, and most importantly, the office doesn’t believe in me. So, what does that leave me to do? I’ll just have to prove them all wrong. Cool kid, meet your new reality. This reality entails you not getting your way when you want it. You won’t get the satisfaction of walking away with your hand raised following our contest.
*Campbell takes another sip of his drink before staring sternly into the camera*
Campbell Chase: I’ve made a living out of out wrestling people. Not brawling, not flying, not playing games, just getting in there, one on one with anybody who steps in with me and tapping them out or wearing them down enough to get a pinfall. You can mark me a prophet when I say that the injuries you’ve had are just mere stingers compared to what I can do to you. I may be small, may be considered insignificant to many but I’m much more than what you think. I have nothing to lose here but, Estrella, you have everything to lose. That new found success can be taken away in a heartbeat and I trust you know what that means.
*Campbell adjusts himself before telling the camera to get in real close.*
Campbell Chase: It means that life isn’t fair, the world doesn’t give any breaks and three things in life are true. Death, taxes, and Professional Wrestling’s Last Chance. I’ve never been pinned, never been submitted and I won’t let you be the first. That Television title and the reputation in brings with it will be mine and not you or anybody else will stop it. If no one believes in me, then I’ll make them believe. Now, if you don’t mind, I’d like to enjoy my meal so tata for now.
*Campbell returns his attention to the table as the waiter approaches with his food. The camera becomes blurry before fading to black.*
