"Jesus H. Christ!?!"
Silver sits in a casual bar with a business acquaintance.
"This Jap, man, wouldn't swallow his pride long enough to give the girl her chance in the ring… I mean these cruiserweight women need their chance to shine after that atrocious showing in the Cruiser Havok rumble, doncha think, Sal?"
Sal sits back in his chair in his cheap brown suit, he takes out a Lucky Strike and rests it between his lips.
"Silver, you can't change the fabric a man is cut from… Didn't you learn that already with Kevin Bishop?"
Silver lights Sal's cigarette and places his lighter back in his coat pocket.
"Yeah, you're right and this time around is certainly different…"
Sal lets smoke seep from his flared nostrils.
"You mean, Kabukii actually does what you say?"
Sal pauses for a second…
"Well for the most part. Try as i might, the guy is a true threat in that ring with his natural skill and instincts, that he doesn't need my guidance in matches. Heh, honestly he needs me to stir the pot and talk mad shit, which I'm naturally gifted at."
Sal chuckles.
"That you are, Goldie… Your daily stays in gym lockers aside, what's your plan to get your client his rightfully deserved title shot?"
"First step, is obviously shutting down Keeton this week… He had his moment in the rumble and he made people say positive things about his name, but obviously it wasn't enough… He was gifted an opportunity to become number one contender and he choked… Against Baker and Flop of all people. That right there is the obvious difference between my client and this young buck who's still wet behind the ears. Kabukii is a veteran, Sal and i can speak for days of how his first match here was the match where he sent the face of the CW Division into a downward spiral… Every opponent after was merely picking away the bones that Kabukii left behind and that's why…"
Silver chuckles softly.
"I laugh off The Raging Dead's little speech about winning the CW title on his first night in Action Wrestling, when in all actuality, if DV was man enough, it could've been Kabukii who won the title on his first night in AW."
"I hear ya, Goldie, but you can't hang onto something like that when you're looking to the future of your client or even your future clients. You made Kabukii a promise and all that stands between him and that grand prize is JC, QDT, Baker, and whatever the hell a Flop is… The ball is seriously in your court, friend."
STATIC!!!!
"Bakas… I choose to speak little because my actions speak louder than words… I'd rather dangle Silver in front of opponents, with his bumbling stupid voice and his ideas that only work to piss people off…
I have fought cocky youngboys before in Japan and it didn't take long to show them the error of their ways. JC will be no different, no matter who his father is… His father isn't stepping into the ring with this seasoned veteran. JC's big moment in AW was a match designed to throw people over a top rope… It is much different to have a true one on one with a man. One on one, means you must get into your opponent's head and come up with the best strategy to keep their shoulders down for the count of three… Three seconds and that is all it takes…"
Kabukii spits a green mist into the camera.
"Everyone gets lost in the mist and not even a student of industry will have enough knowledge to navigate it…"
STATIC!!!!
"Sal, i have no doubt in my mind that Kabukii is going to school this little shit who thinks just because his father made a legacy for himself, that he is automatically gifted his talents… Kabukii's a veteran who earned his stripes, his straps, and his LEGACY by his own fortitude… Not by clinging to his father's coattails. Kabukii is the master of THE MIST and once it all settles, his path will be as clear as ever in this new year..."
