Character Name:
Steve Dackle
Nickname:
Scorpion
Hometown:
St. Louis, MO
Height:
6'8"
Weight:
285 lbs
Alignment: Heel
In-Ring Style:
Bruising, powerful, some technical
Bio:
Steve was born to a well-to-do family in the Mid-West. Everything was great for Stevie growing up. Instead of following in his father's footsteps as an investment banker, Steve joined the United States Marine Corps. He enlisted as a machine gunner and after SOI, was immediately deployed to Kandahar in Afghanistan. Steve earned the nickname "Scorpion" mainly because of what he called his 50 cal (Venom). He said that the bun was like the symbiote. He was a regular guy until he got behind the butterfly triggers, then he became a dark soul hellbent of death.
Steve was nearing the end of his deployment. He had opted to stay with the next incoming unit to help. On the final convoy he was to be in, they were ambushed. Steve was taken prisoner. For three years he suffered through torture and torment in a cave in the mountains of the Middle East. After 37 months, three weeks, and four days, Corporal Steven Delino Dackle was removed from the MIA list. After another nine months in Trippler Army Medical Center in Hawaii, he was discharged from the Marine Corps.
Dackle returned home only to find his father, mother, both brothers, and sister were dead. His mother committed suicide over losing him. His father suffered a heart attack. His brothers were gunned down in a robbery of a gas station in Chesterfield. His sister succumbed to cancer just days before he was found. The only thing he had left in his life was his soon-to-be wife, at least she was 4.5 years ago when he left for deployment.
She turned out to be with someone else, one of his bitter enemies from high school. This sent the deeply troubled man into a tailspin of rage and depression. He locked himself into the family's home, which defaulted to him once he was found. For months he sat and wallowed, until a chance encounter changed everything.
Given that Dackle didn't leave the house, he had everything delivered to him. One of the delivery men was one of his best friends from his childhood, Joshua Jeffrey Jackson (Triple J). Triple J was a small time independent wrestler, or was, before he hurt his back. The two men talked for hours, with Triple J finally getting Dackle out of his funk, using pro wrestling as the catapult that launched Dackle back into humanity.
Triple J tutored Dackle, who was a natural at the sport, and helped his best friend make a career. Between Dackle's skill and money and Triple J's knowledge of the business, Dackle's career began to take off.
While the pain and anguish over what he has lost in his life pushes him, it has also turned him cynical, untrusting, and brutal. He uses his in-ring work as a way to channel some of his hatred for his fellow man, himself, and the Almighty God into something destructive that won't land him in jail. He sees no good in anyone, except for Triple J, who he views as his guardian angel. His life experiences have changed his view on reality. He is bitter, sullen, devestating, and evil.
Attire:
Black boots, black leather pants with DACKLE written in bold white letters up on leg and a scorpion crawling up the other. A black vest that has the phrase "We all die, and none of us truly live." written on the back with a hood covering his head and most of his face (ala A.J. Styles). A black elbow pad on his left arm, both wrists taped in white.
Theme song:
Freedom Fighter by Creed
Pic Base He has jet black hair, longer, greased back like a 1950's greaser. He has piercing green eyes and his body is covered in scars. Part of his left ear lobe is missing. While handsome, the scars negate some of the sex appeal. He has an EGA tattoo taking up most of his back. On his right forearm, there is a homemade tattoo of two dates, the date he was captured and the date he was freed. On his right bicep is a corporal chevron.
Entrance: The chorus of Freedom Fighter by Creed begins and Dackle emerges. He ignores everything and everyone as he slowly walks to the ring. He gets in with no fanfare and no glam. He leans against the hard camera corner with his back to the camera and does not move.
Favorite moves (at least 15 moves):

Finisher(s):
"The Chevron" - A Razor's Edge, except instead of slamming the opponent down, he thrusts them into the air and delivers a neckbreaker (reverse RKO).
