Late at night… we see The Raging Dead lying on the cold, hard ground in the Bayside Cemetery, where he was buried alive last month at Monster Mash...
"You only get one shot to make a good first impression. That's not what I'm looking to do at all. What I want… is to hurt Derrick Vayden, Action Wrestling's long reigning Cruiserweight Champion. He's been atop that hill for over 100 days. Damn impressive. He has done remarkably well as Cruiserweight's Finest… until now. With the recent influx of fighters from Trinity and elsewhere… the swamp is getting pretty crowded with potential challengers for Derrick Vayden. Right off the bat… he's got to deal with the Whiteface Thriller, the Undead Underdog, the Raging Dead."
"When the rumors of Trinity being absorbed into Action started swirling… there was all this chatter that our championships could be combined… and now, here we are. Now the roster is 125 or so members deep, everyone is stepping on each other to get at these titles… and I'm set for a unification match before I've even signed a contract. For the last couple weeks… all anyone can talk about is contracts, titles, making an impact. You've heard none of that from me… and you won't. When… or IF… I sign a contract with Action Wrestling… it will be nobody else's business. All you need to know for now is this unification match at Turmoil is going to be something… else. Anyone with a quarter of a brain would see it coming that Action's golden boy is going to mop the floor with Trinity's grizzled monster."
"I have at least a quarter of a brain… give or take… so I would put my money on the kid, too. He's done a hell of a job here, making that belt matter… making the whole division matter. He has carried the weight of the world on his shoulders. I know how tiring that can be, since I've been doing the same thing at Trinity with this Pure Championship. The difference between us is age and experience. I am 44 years old… and I've been in this business since I was 16. This is all I was ever good at, and I've been damn good at it. But hey… Derrick himself said that pure talent trumps age and experience every time… and we'll find out if that's true at Turmoil."
"Truth be told… I don't even know if I WANT to be the one to unify the Cruiserweight and Pure Championships. That's a lot of responsibility… a lot of pressure… and the winner has a hell of a target on their back. I've been down that road time and time again… and it sucks. There's no sugarcoating this deal, folks. Being good enough to be champion is hard… but being good enough to remain champion is what really matters. Derrick Vayden has spent over 100 days telling everyone how good he is, how being the best isn't a gimmick, how he will do whatever it takes, how he is THE best cruiserweight this company has ever seen. Did he ever take the time to explain WHY he is the best?"
"No, he didn't. What he did do… was show you all why he is the best of the best. Week after week… he has proven why he's the Cruiserweight Champion. Now he has the challenge of his life… the Raging Dead. This match at Turmoil will prove his worth, will solidify his claims of superiority, will show the world who Derrick Vayden really is. The trickster can bring all of his magic tricks to Las Vegas in hopes of stopping the unbeatable, undesirable, unhinged monster before him… and we will all see who is left standing when the dust settles."
"Derrick Vayden… self-proclaimed Mayor of Dick Kick City. If you even attempt to kick me in the dick… I will tear your leg off, beat the shit out of you with it… and then snack on that leg until it's just bones for my dog Shadow to chew on. Haven't you figured it out yet? I'm a motherfucking monster… and when I rage… I Rage 25/8!"
Fade to red...
