I.
There was a time in my career where I used to let losses, even close matches, get me down. Last week, there was a point in the match where I truly believed I was going to beat KOS. And then I lost. It was almost as if a few weeks ago when I almost defeated Dandy for the World Title meant nothing. It was beginning to seem like my whole life and career was simply one big fluke. Lissie was the world champion. Estrella was returning to Action. Geri had her own stuff going on and I was still on my bi polar path in Action. I was stuck on a roller coaster and it was not a very fun one.
I decided to go home and relax for a bit. England was my home and I wanted to spend more time there before heading back to Vegas.

The scene opened on Kennedy Matthews sitting on a small stool in a garden. She was taking in the clear skies. The United States had been rainy for most of the past few months. The garden in which Kennedy sat was her old safe space in her youth. Kennedy smiled as she felt a familiar hand on her leg. ”Sadie?”
Beside Kennedy was Sadie Matthews, her big sister and mentor. ”Hey kiddo. You ok?”
Kennedy had to lie. Of course she wanted to win every week and no amount of saying she was ok would change that. She had to fake like she was happy but truth be told she was beginning to be in an “Always a bridesmaid, never the bride” mentality. She watched her friend, Lissie Hope, win the World Title mere weeks after she failed to do so. So smiling as if everything was ok was her only escape from the crippling depression that was eating at her from the inside. ”Why wouldn’t I be ok? I am friends with the World Champion and my best friend, whom I thought may never walk again, is back in action this week. To top it all off, I get to walk all over Judge Tennison”
Kennedy had begun feeling like she was going to be stuck in midcard hell again. With so many newcomers coming to Action she had to do more to keep getting opportunities or she would be doomed to doing nothing anymore. Her thoughts were interrupted by Sadie speaking. ”What do you know about Judge Tennison?”
Kennedy hadn’t really thought about it. Normally she knew so much about her opponents because here lately she was fighting the people she had known since she was in Action. She had known of the Judge in WCF but never had much interaction with him. ”That’s just it, Sadie. I don’t know much at all. He was in WCF when I was there but I was too busy sky rocketing up the ladder to worry much about him. My second match in WCF was against Stephen Singh. Tennsion was like the stepping stone into the TV title picture. He was not an admirable opponent but since WCF closed who knows what this guy is capable of.
I mean last week he won but he beat someone that I think dad could pin to this day.”
Sadie looked on confused. ”Kennedy, dad can’t pin anyone, he’s dead.”
Kennedy nodded. ”That’s my point, Sadie. I don’t know what I am getting myself into this week, all I know is I can’t lose to the judge. On the other hand I need it to be a convincing win because of the influx of new blood in the company. I need to not get lost in the shuffle again. I need to prove that I am a star and a potential World Champion. I need to show that I still have the drive and determination to be here. With Voss Holt, Razzles Mars, and the like coming in Action Wrestling is being overrun with great talent. Hell the Trinity Wrestling World Champion, Madwoman Szalinski, just signed. I need to stay relevant and winning is my only option.”
Sadie shook her head at Kennedy. ”Kennedy, don’t overthink it, ok? I have been in companies when new people came in and I just kept doing what I always did and that was fight. I always battled my way into the title picture or into the winner’s circle. I look at you, sis, and I see myself. I see the battles I fought. You are on the same path I was. I think, however, you will have the mindset of a winner moreso than I did. You won’t let an injury derail your career. Stay with it, Kennedy. Do not give up!”
Kennedy hugged her sister as she stood up. ”You’re right, Sadie. With that said, I need to go catch my flight back to Las Vegas.”
The sisters broke their embrace as the scene faded to black.

II.
Back to the United States I was headed. I had to get back to it. I had to keep my name in the lights. I wanted the fans to still get excited when they saw my name on the Action Wrestling website. I had to get into peak physical shape. Unlike most of my counterparts in Action Wrestling, I didn’t live in the gym. Sure, I loved working on my stamina and running ropes but I was the last one to be weight training or doing pilates. So cardio it is. That is what I would do.

The scene opened to show Kennedy Matthews running on a treadmill as she panted. She had left her airpods at home so she could hear all of the commotion going on around her. ”Dippin dots! The cake will be mine!”
Kennedy looked over to see a girl running on the treadmill down the way. The girl was out of breath and watching some kind of youtube video about cakes. Kennedy shook her head as she stepped off the treadmill and approached the young woman. Upon closer examination Kennedy realized the woman was Razzles Mars, one of Action’s debuting signings. Kennedy knew of Razzles from England. Razzles was attempting to break into the states much like Kennedy did at eighteen years old. Kennedy decided to speak to Razzles. ”Is everything ok?”
Razzles lost her concentration and almost fell. Kennedy caught Razzles in her arms. Razzles, out of breath, looked into Kennedy’s eyes and you could see the nerves kick in, or was that just Razzles being out of breath from exercising? ”Holy Gumdrops! Y-y-y-ou’re Kennedy Matthews! What are you doing here at this gym like a commoner. You are the Queen of Wrestling.”
Kennedy smirked as she blushed a bit. ”Was. That was the old me. The me who didn’t have a heart. I am different now. I am the Mother of All Creation. You are the new girl in Action, Razzles, right?”
Razzles nodded still unable to speak. The jury is still out on whether it was excitement or fatigue but Kennedy would like to believe it was simply Razzles being a fan girl. Razzles finally caught her breath as the two women had a seat in the juice bar area. Kennedy looked at Razzles. ”Want a smoothie? My treat.”
Razzles nodded as Kennedy disappeared for a few moments. She stepped back into the scene carrying two cups. She sat one down in front of Razzles. Razzles was hesitant to drink it. Kennedy chuckled a bit. ”Two things. One, i promise I didn’t drug your drink. If I was interested in you I would just tell you, I am not a creeper. Two, it is strawberry kiwi, my favorite.”
Before Kennedy could finish Razzles was already downing it. Kennedy didn’t know it but Razzles was a strawberry addict. Kennedy sipped her smoothie as Razzles turned hers up and finished it. She giggled. ”I am sorry, Kennedy. You must think I am a hog the way I downed that.”
Razzles looked down in a defeated manner before Kennedy laughed again. ”On the contrary, I am impressed. That smoothie should have given you a brain freeze.”
Razzles shook her head. ”When you drink milkshakes as much as I do, you get used to cold things. With training you can do almost anything.”
Kennedy nodded in agreement as she spoke again. ”Speaking of doing anything and training. Do you want to work out together and train together?”
Razzles looked a little uncertain. ”Erm, don’t you have Estrella and Lissie for that?”
Kennedy looked away trying to not show weakness in front of the young hyperactive young gal. ”I don’t even know anymore. It seems that they would rather be in each other’s company than in mine. They have been training together this week and not once was I invited.”
Razzles jaw dropped as she retorted. ”Well thats just poopy!”
Kennedy nodded. ”So what do you say? Wanna be my new work out partner? I can teach you some secrets to this business. I have been in this business my whole life. I know how it all works.”
Razzles nodded as Kennedy extended her hand. Razzles, hyper as ever, shook her head and instead of shaking Kennedy’s hand jumped up and hugged Kennedy tightly as the scene faded to black.

Epilogue:
Razzles was on board and I was excited. I haven’t had anyone to teach this business to since Lissie surpassed me. Estrella knows this business as much as I do. There is nothing I can teach Estrella. She is wise beyond her years. Razzles is very anxious and wide eyed for this business. I just hope I can get through to her before the business corrupts her. Wrestling was an evil and disgusting business in the under belly. If I can help one person from going into that part of the world then I will have done my good deed. I, now, switched my focus back to Judge Tennison. I needed to win so that Lissie, Estrella, Geri, and now Razzles could be proud of me. I am the mother of all creation… welcome to my world.
