I wanted to talk about it before, but I'm a superstitious fuck, I didn't want to jinx anything lol.
But wow, what a UCI reign. Most of you don't know this, but with any character that I have ever had in the near 12 years that I've done this crazy game, Casey had both the longest reign and the most defenses (245 and 12 respectively). It wasn't as easy as it looked at times, especially since UCI garnered a LOT of in-character heat with many wanting to get rid of the title for so long. Not to mention, there were some defenses mixed in there where I was nervous about (ZMAC and Richards being the standouts there) and I wasn't sure Casey was going to make it. In my view, the closest defense was Alex Richards. That promo made me nervous as fuck. Then again, I think anytime, anywhere... Alex Richards would make anyone nervous so I knew going into that match, I would have to take it to another level so thanks for that awesome push Alex, our match pushed me to strive to take my game to another level.
I do wish Andre showed for our match, or that Estrella had a chance to show (she's an up and comer if she can be consistent btw) or that Casey got to defend against names like Verez, Shadowlove and Bonnie... but that doesn't take away from something incredibly unique (in my book) and something that, to be honest... I highly doubt I will ever be able to pull off again with Casey or any other character. I might be able to top 245 days at some point... but unless I stuck a character in a weekly title defense division... I know it'll be practically impossible to top 12 successful title defenses. Needless to say, this ride isn't going to be forgotten anytime soon and I'm going to cherish every moment of it, every challenge, every opponent along the way.
What's next for Casey? What's the reward for the UCI Series accomplishment? We'll see. But thanks to all of you for being part of the ride one way or another whether you were an opponent, whether we engaged on Twitter or hell... even if you wrote one of my matches.
On to whatever the future may be... lol
