Neither here; Nor there
The Void[/b][/font]
Time? What a silly concept!
The scene opens up to a view of Mary and Annette sitting on either side of a comatose Claire. On Claire’s left side sat Mary; a thinner version of the comatose woman that been on the less fortunate end of life when she had been alive. Directly across from her sat Annette; the arguably more attractive version that had been more than fortunate during her time on the mortal plane. Despite their differences, both mental and physical, the two of them currently had a difficult problem on their hands. A problem in which “Time” was a mysterious factor. For better or worse.
Though the concept of “time” wasn’t something of importance within the Void typically, it had roughly been three weeks since the actual Metal Witch had fallen into a mysterious catatonic state. A state that, despite Annette’s best efforts, she couldn’t be brought back from. To call it an “inconvenience” wouldn’t be an apt description. Not when the person was a professional wrestler that was currently under contract with the premiere Wrestling company that the mortal world had to offer. Plus, dealing with a coup that was dangerously close to breaking out into a full scale war didn’t exactly help matter either.
Annette:
“Well, how did things go against Gnarly Karlie?”
Mary:
“About how I was expecting it to.”
Annette:
“Wait….you were expecting her to kick your butt? I don’t know about that. Seems like you’re just going with the cop out answer to cover up the fact she beat ya down.”
With a heavy sigh as she slightly altered her position, Mary turned her blinded gaze upwards. Though she could not see the every encroaching Void that surrounded the three of them: she could feel it. Right now it felt the same as she when it came to Annette. Exasperated as fuck.
Mary:
“You know full well that things are never as they seem.”
Annette:
“Yeah, but-”
Mary:
:”But nothing Annette. Miss Nash did exactly what I told her to do. She brought everything she could muster and it wasn’t enough. Simple as that.”
Annette:
“I think you’re being delusional in your defeat Maryberry. She dominated you through the entire thing until-”
Mary:
“Until she took herself out. I was there and I haven’t forgotten. However, you need to be aware that it was all according to plan.”
Annette:
“Plan? Now I’m startin’ to think that maybe it wasn’t only her that got a little messed up.”
With concern filling her voice as she referenced Claire’s current state, it was clear that Annette didn’t believe in what her cohort was saying.
Mary:
“Yes.”
Annette:
“Okay, but just how does Casey Holliday fit into this “Plan” of yours? Cause the way I see it you’re just needlessly getting our collective butts kicked.”
Mary:
“Our? There is no our.”
Annette:
“Ma-”
Mary:
“SHUT UP! You’ve never had to fight for a damn thing! Don’t you DARE try and stake a claim in ANY of this. Just do as we agreed upon and figure out a way to bring her back!”
With an explosive reaction that would have done the Metal Witch proud, the two women fell silent as the echo of Mary’s enraged voice melted into the Void around them. After several agonizing long moments of continued silence; Mary spoke again. Only this time the harsh tone that had filled her voice moments ago was gone. In its stead was that of a gentler, softer tone.
Mary:
“Listen well Annette for I won’t repeat this, but that is what is needed of you. As a former representative of the Air spirits you’re the only one that has a chance of bringing her back. I only know violence.”
Annette:
“Okay, but that doesn’t answer the question.”
Mary:
“.....question?”
Annette:
“About how Spacey Casey fits into your so called “plan” that you cooked up in that messed up mind of yours.”
Mary:
“Miss Holliday, as well trained and talented as is is, has yet to come across one thing.”
Annette:
“Which is…...what exactly?”
Mary:
“A true challenge.”
Annette:
“Um…..I don’t think that’s accurate. With her being something like sixteen and zero it’s pretty much a given that she’d have had to face at least one person that was a challenge.”
Mary:
“Maybe, but what about her actual defences of the UCI Championship? How many were a challenge other then in name?”
Annette:
“I’m not following. Could you just tell me instead of carrying on in this roundabout way?”
Allowing Annette’s words to hang in the air unanswered, the blindfolded woman’s face slowly split into a sinister smile. So sinister and dreadful was this smile that it caused Annette to tremble. That was not a smile a normal woman could or should wear and never so gleefully!
Mary:
“Now watch over our charge while I attend to business.”
With those words of finality the conversation was over. At last that is Annette perceived it. That perception proved to be true as visage of her counterpart became liquid-like before melting into the unending expanse of the Void as a crimson puddle. Leaving her nauseated an alone.
Annette:
“That is sooooo gross.”

February 23th 2019
The scene fades into a setting of a lake that had long since frozen over for the winter. With the shoreline covered in snow it was impossible to tell just where the edge of the lake was. However, what could be seen was the form of a woman standing with her back turned to the camera. Clad in black, the woman held both of her hand up towards the sky as she spoke in a powerful voice.
Claire Hawkins(?):
“Omnipotens spirituum awua ore exibet gladius acutus vocationem et figura mea voluntas tuam!”
With familiar words spoken in that same familiar voice as last time. Only the effects of her incantation did not seem to take effect. At least not right away. Slowly, as time ticked by, the frigid surface of the lake began to shake and creak until its breaking point was reached. With the thunderous sounds of ice shattering, two large eruptions of water broke through the ice on either side of the waiting Witch.
With her ornately decorated cloak violently fluttering in the wind that the geysers had generated, Claire watched as the lake water reached upwards into the sky. It was truly a dazzling display! However, that display did not last long as she clenched her outstretched hands into fists. Responding to the gesture, the two geysers instantly froze and became a pair of pillars. Then, almost as if she were tearing down a curtain, Claire brought her hands down abruptly. The majority of the two pillars of ice in turn shattered! Leaving two womanly visages made of ice in their stead; One of Karlie Nash while the other was that of the UCI Omnipotens Casey Holliday.
As the tiny fragments of ice gently floated to the frozen surface of the lake, Claire turned to face the camera.
Claire Hawkins(?):
“What an interesting return it’s been. I go from chasing after the United States Championship to being in a match for the UCI Championship instead. Something that I am not…..particularly pleased with. However, that does not mean that I am blind to the opportunity that has been presented both to me as well as the Championship itself.
You see, whether anyone understands it or not, this is the second most important match that the UCI Championship has had since it has been revived here in Action Wrestling. In less than twenty-four hours Karlie Nash, Casey Holliday, and myself shall wage war against each other to determine the future of the UCI Championship!
The first potential future is clear to all. Karlie Nash has made it known that she wishes to be rid of the belt and all it has stood for. Whether it is be by hook or crook she plans on doing everything can in order to fulfill that idea. However, given how she managed to take herself out of the match last week on Clash, I have to wonder if she can even get to the ring with such incompetence. She may be big and bad, but when compared to Casey or myself it is as clear as these ice statues beside me that she hasn’t a snowball’s chance in hell. That I guarantee.
Next we have the second path, the path that is also incredibly clear for all to see. Casey Holliday will defend her belt tooth and nail! As she should. However, she has since strayed from her original path and has fallen into the pitfall that all the other champions have fallen into. The trap of UCI. You see, just ass everyone has before her, Casey has fallen into this lull of representing UCI instead of truly adding upon it. She no longer seeks to bring anything new to the table, but instead bring a sense of complacency. Maybe it’s about time she actually becomes a clutch competitor.
Finally, there is the third path. The path that nobody knows about. The path that only I can bring about. That path? That path is the path of TRUE resurrection for the glory of those that have come before, but also of the glory of those that have yet to come. You see, the UCI Championship isn’t just about representing the old, but it’s also about representing the new. Once I defeat Karlie Nash and Casey Holliday the new shall represent. The new shall a grand new MYTHOS!”
Once she had finished, Claire reared back and let loose her Banshee's wail! Which, as one may have been expecting, caused the two ice visages to shatter! After the icy debris had finally became a pile on the frozen surface, the screen faded to black as her voice was heard one last time.
