Damian and I are at Fresno, California for Galactic Women’s Wrestling, where Zima’Ion will be fighting in her debut match against someone named Paula Shock. It’ll be a good detour from my upcoming title defense against Andre Holmes. We were able to get decent enough seats, but it was difficult to find a suitable enough disguise to keep me from getting too much attention from the fans. The glowing skin definitely does not help.
L Verez: That’s a nerve wracking way to have to make a first impression.
Taking a look at the card, it appears that she’s going by the name “Zima’Ion vas Quasana” honouring the name of our damaged ship, which I greatly appreciate.
L Verez: Nervous… but oddly excited as well.
Before Damian can continue, the lighting changes and music hits the PA system. Paula Shock eventually makes her way to the ring. Eventually, another song hits, and Zima’Ion makes her way to the ring. She gives the fans positive vibes, which I adore.
L Verez: She knows she has my attention. I’m interested in seeing the outcome of this bout.
The bell rang, and what happens afterwards genuinely surprises me. She quickly hits a headlock takeover, taking complete control of the match. Even after Paula escapes the hold, Zima manages to catch her in an arm drag, instantly transitioning into an arm bar. The crowd is taking to her at an alarming rate.
L Verez: Indeed…
After just a few minutes of Zima dominating the match, Paula goes for a wild punch, but Zima ducks and hits the ropes, grabbing her and landing a tornado DDT. She follows it up with a sharpshooter, forcing Paula to tap out. The next image is one I didn’t expect when Zima told me she was going to wrestle. Watching her arm get raised to a loving crowd of fans.
L Verez: Yes… however, one match isn’t enough to fully prove her capabilities.
Damian: Well, she ain’t the only one that has to prove herself. You got that match with Andre, and all I’ve heard is how sure everyone is that you’re going to lose the belt to him.
L Verez: Proving people wrong is my specialty.
As Damian and I continue talking, we notice an uncomfortably familiar face headed our way. Obviously, we won’t be able to enjoy the rest of the show with her in our crosshairs. We start quickly heading out to try avoiding her.

As soon as I return to the Boulder City base, I head over to a quiet, secluded room and set up the Holo Sphere. With so much on my mind, I’m eager for the Holo’s purple ring to glow.
L Verez: It should really be no surprise to me that my title defense at Wrestle Rager, and yes, I refuse to call the PPV by the name #beachkrew would want us to call it, would be against Andre Holmes. Yet, somehow, it does. Mainly because I honestly forgot that he was a part of the Action Wrestling roster. He seemed to disappear after his loss against Casey Holliday last month. That match, however, is another large reason on why I don’t understand this decision.
How does Andre Holmes go from squandering an unearned opportunity, to getting yet another unearned opportunity? After I lost my non title match against Casey, I had to go through a tournament to win this championship. Yet, for Andre, he just gets gifted an instant opportunity at the championship? Not only that, but we’re competing in a best of seven series. So I have to fight at least 4 times against this same, undeserving traitor to remain champion. It’s clear that Andre has special treatment in his grasp, like some others in the Action Wrestling roster. Well, that’s just too bad for him, because he’s facing the wrong FemAlien.
How can I take him as seriously when he came in with the biggest chip on his shoulder, after disappearing for almost a year after he lost a big title opportunity back in UCI, just to lose yet another opportunity for the exact same title? Andre was the first person to be eliminated in Killing Floor. He boasted and boasted about how he was going to be the one to dethrone Casey, just to lose yet again. I’ll admit that I’ve not had the best career in Action before winning my Television Championship, but at least I stuck around. At least I kept fighting until I eventually won myself some leather and gold. Andre simply loses, whines about it, and goes home.
He can make all the excuses about his family, and whatever other duties he may bring up, but what he doesn’t get is that he isn’t the only one with other responsibilities. I’m the Protector of the Universe! Yet, I still can make time to come to Earth and compete. I still fight the good fight. Andre only fights when it’s beneficial for him. The funniest part is that he doesn’t even win when he makes his return! Not when it counts.
This time will be no different. I have a rocket strapped to my back, and I plan to use it until the fuel runs out. Here’s the thing, Andre, I came prepared with extra fuel, and I still have a lot left in the tank. You’re going to have to rip the rocket from me if you even hope to take this title from me, because I’m reaching for the stars, and I’m not letting you or anyone else stop me! The entire Action Wrestling Universe is watching me, and I am their Universal Champion. That is a role that you will never be able to fill.
