Date: January 27, 2019 (after her successful title defense)
Voice 1: Congratulations, Casey! You’ve put the icing on the cake tonight!
Voice 2: Yeah, you went out there and did it again!!!
UCI Champion Casey Holliday is in a hell of a mood as she greats her two friends, Bianca Vasquez and Hayley Halsey, in the hallway in the minutes and moments following a sixth successful championship defense of the UCI title, something that nobody else had ever done before.
Casey: There weren’t a lot of people out there that thought I’d be leaving with this championship still intact, but to be able to go out there and silence the critics again is a hell of a feeling.
Hayley: Hey, you have done that title and UCI justice ever since you won it. You’ve held that title for how long now? Five and a half months? Unreal.
Casey: Hey, this is the world title reign that I dreamed of, especially for my first one. I’ve also retained against some tough former champions: Bishop, McMorris and now Holmes.
Bianca: Yeah, fuck that guy Casey.
Casey and Hayley turn toward Bianca, each of them giving her a confused, perplexed look.
Bianca: After all the horrible shit that he said about you, it must have felt amazing as hell to go in there and finally shut him the fuck up for good. I hope that his ego has finally been brought down to size and that from this moment forward, he doesn’t go around acting like he’s king shit and Mr. UCI. Fuck that motherfucking asshole, Casey.
Casey: Um… Bianca…
Bianca: Yeah?
Casey: Calm down. I don’t hate Andre Holmes anymore.
Casey of course, is remembering the handshake that just took place in the ring between her and Andre Holmes.
Hayley: Yeah, you have to admit he was surprisingly pro about the outcome. Something tells me he finally sees that you’ve grown and changed from UCI.
Casey has a bit of a smile on her face upon hearing those words.
Casey: I have a feeling that you’re right on the money about that.
Hayley: He’s still a prick though. We should have a celebration!
Casey: No, there will be no celebrating. Yeah, I had one hell of a defense against one hell of a competitor don’t get me wrong about that. It’s nice to have the longest UCI reign ever across both companies as well as the most title defenses, but tomorrow’s a new day and there’ws no need to run up the score on Andre. I don’t believe in doing that anymore. Plus, if I go out and publically brag about it, he’s not going to be happy. I’d rather not poke that hornet’s nest… you know?
Bianca sighs, clearly not liking what she just heard as she was hoping that Casey would be all for the celebration.
Bianca: Hey, you do you on that. I’m heading out. I’m probably going to get a drink or two. Want to join me, Hayley?
Hayley: No, I’m fine. Thanks. Just… don’t drive after, okay?
Bianca: I know, I know. No need to mention it. Anyway, heading out. I’ll catch you two around.
Bianca turns and leaves the scene at this point.
Hayley: I am so proud of you for everything you have been able to accomplish in the last six months. I’ve completely run out of superlatives for it.
Casey smiles as she and Hayley exchanged a hug.
Casey: Thanks, girl. It sure has been one wild ride.
Hayley: 15-0, five and a half months as UCI Champion and six defenses though… really?
Casey: I find that hard to believe.
Hayley: Don’t. You’re that damn good! If not even Andre could bring you down, can you imagine anyone else that might be able to challenge you for the title right now?
Casey: At the moment? I don’t. But right now, it’s best if I don’t think about it. I’m heading back to the locker room. I’ll see you in a bit.
Hayley nods as Casey walks by her and continues to make her way down the hall. A quick thought runs through her mind as she gets there.
Casey (thinking): A night of surprises… what can I say? Six months ago, I hated the world and everything in it and when I first won my title I wanted to destroy whatever was left of UCI’s legacy. However, I’ve maintained it to the best of my ability and have completely changed my entire perspective on everything.I’m going to enjoy tonight and… see where the future takes me.
Casey arrives at the locker room door. Once she enters the room, she’s in for another surprise in the form of someone familiar.
Casey: You too, huh?
Casey chuckles some upon the sight of Victoria Salinas, the most successful graduate of the wrestling school Casey trained at and someone she formerly looked up to. Victoria happens to be watching the main event of the show with the #beachkrew and #fightsmart war going on.
Victoria: I came here for some answers.
Casey raises her eyebrows as Victoria approaches her. She is though, a bit nervous, considering some recent tension the two of them had with each other during Casey’s days as a whining, crying, spoiled brat back in UCI.
Victoria: I wanted to see for myself how good you really are, if you were capable of being that top-notch champion that could not only get it done when it mattered, but had enough respect for the enemy and the battle when it was over. Needless to say, you answered those questions with a resounding “yes”. I know you’re not going to like what I’m about to say, but you figure that what I’m about to say has at least been discussed. Being a five-time world champion myself… remembering what it was like being 23 in her first world title reign… just like you in fact… through the career I’ve had, I always wondered if there was someone from the Seattle Wrestling Academy that was going to come close to the prodigious resume I built up when I first cracked the mainstream.
It turns out?
It was you!
Casey forces a smile, though showing the discomfort with the comparison.
Victoria: I know that you don’t like being compared to me and I understand. I was often compared with my own mentor when I was your age. But you can’t deny that our careers at this age… they’ve been on similar paths.
Casey: Yeah, I won’t deny that. And to think when I first started my “prodigy” nonsense, it was just to get under people’s skins and tell them how great I am. I didn’t think I would actually live up to that but I suppose I have… especially during this UCI title reign of mine. I know when I first started, I was so stubborn…
Victoria: That’s putting it mildly, Casey.
Casey: I know…
Casey sighs in regret, clearly not at full terms with how she used to behave in the first couple of years of her career.
Casey: I wasn’t ready to be thrown in the fire like I was at first.
Victoria: You think I was? I won my first title of any kind six matches into my career and had the longest Hardcore title run in PRW at the time and everyone expected the world out of me… and people still do. It’s exhausting, Casey. I just wanted to warn you about that. You… yourself… you’ve won how many titles total? Six? And you’re only 23. You raised the bar tonight with Andre, no doubt about that but the expectations are never going to go down. Everyone is beginning to expect that out of you each and every match and no matter how much you may want that pressure off of you… there’s always going to be someone that’s still coming for you.
Casey: But who, at this point? Unless Bonnie or Shadlowlove come out of the dead again, I just don’t see it. Andre will probably want revenge on Kennedy. McMorris is a coked-up tag team champion. Most of the roster has dismissed my title as irrelevant since even before I had it. With all that I’ve beaten and all the records I’ve broken, I don’t think there’s anything left to do with the championship except for just defending it until someone beats me for. I stepped up to the pressure tonight, but it’s not going to be easy to do it the next time.
Victoria: And it never will be easy.
Both women look at the television screen and they just so happen to catch the end of the main event match. #beachkrew just won the war and with that, Casey feels angry and gutted knowing exactly what this means. Despite the anger building within her, she’s able to maintain her composure to the best of her ability.
Casey: Shit…
Victoria: What was that you were saying about not having anything left to do with the UCI Championship?
Casey: You’re right. I completely forgot about those idiots and the revenge I have yet to finish with them. And now they control AW for a month? This is not good…
Victoria stands up and begins to leave.
Casey: Vicky, wait. Where are you going? You’ve got experience with this sort of situation. How am I going to be able to deal with this? Almost surely… considering the anti-UCI sentiment… they’re going to want to get rid of my championship now.
Victoria: Casey, you already know what needs to be done and I trust that you’re going to be able to figure it out and do what you do best. There’s nothing more I can do for you right now.
Victoria leaves the room allowing Casey to be alone to allow the anger within her to fester considering her history with #beachkrew.
Casey: Bring me your worst, you sons of bitches! I’ll NEVER forgive you for what you bastards did to me in UCI. Retaining against Pasternak was just the start… but soon… I’ll see to it that #beachkrew is expunged from Action Wrestling and is never seen ANYWHERE in ANY wrestling promotion again. You want to try and get rid of my championship? You want to start shit with me, fuckers? Bring it! Because tonight further proves that I can hang with anyone this company decides to throw at me!
Casey takes a long, hard look at the television screen, maintaining an angry look on her eyes as she watches the #beachkrew celebration taking place as Revolution II fades out. She shakes her head already hating the situation before she unstraps the UCI Championship that was around her waist.
Casey: Don’t you worry… it’s not time for me to say goodbye to you just yet. They’re not going to get rid of you without going through ME first and if they want to start a war with me, I’ll be right there beating their fucking heads in until they exist no more… and until I make sure Ryan Lockheart doesn’t have that AW title… even if I’m the one that has to take it from him myself.
Casey straps the title around her waist again before she leaves the room. Focused and determined, with the looming threat of #beachkrew in the background, Casey knows she’s got no time to enjoy her win over Andre Holmes.
She may not know what exactly is next, but what she does know is that with #beachkrew running the show for a month, her UCI Championship could very well be in jeopardy in one form or another… whether someone takes it from her… or whether they choose to just deactivate the title.
Still…
This is Casey Holliday we’re talking about.
And the UCI Champion knows exactly what she’s capable of.
Date: February 3, 2019
Casey sits with her UCI Championship slung over her shoulder as she reflects on recent and current events stemming from Revolution II. She’s incredibly happy that she’s still the UCI Champion of course, but at the same time, that joy is lulled some by the threat of #beachkrew and the fact that they run the show in Action Wrestling for the next month. It’s certainly causing a cornucopia of thoughts within the head of the UCI champion as she begins to express her thoughts.
Casey Holliday: And STILL the UCI World Champion! I think at this point considering who I have been defending the championship against, the records that I’ve broken that stretch back to as long as the title has been alive and the fact that I might even be the longest reigning champion of any kind on Action Wrestling history of my facts are right and I’m going to make that bold claim… knowing that I have the stats and the resume to back it up and say that I am, UCI or AW, the greatest UCI World Champion that this championship has ever had. Yeah, things got off to a rocky start. I won this championship from Anton Chase and not Bonnie Blue like I was hoping to do and things got a bit screwy at the start when my first defense against Bishop went to a no-contest and it took me forever to finally beat the son of a bitch, but everything turned around for the better when I took out my cocksucker ex-boyfriend. And now… all these months later… I have put the icing on the cake to this incredible championship reign with a successful defense against Andrew Holmes and I’ll give the son of a bitch credit… he was a good sport and acknowledged what he had refused to acknowledge before. He surprised me in that sense and he gave me a hell of a fight. But, at the end of the day, I’ve still got this.
So now… what is there left to do with this championship? I’ve broken the record for most title defenses. Nobody in the title’s history had ever had 5 successful defenses before me and here I sit with six and counting. I’ve broken the record for longest reign. Both of those records once belonged to Kevin Bishop. They brought in Andre Holmes to challenge me and I came out on top. So, unless some other mysterious big name from UCI’s past pops up out of nowhere, perhaps it may be safe to say that I’ve accomplished everything that I’ve set out to do. There doesn’t appear to be a mission list anymore. I’m sitting here with the championship wondering who’s next? What’s next? What’s going to happen now? It feels like I’ve managed to right every wrong I’ve had in UCI, yes even those I brought on myself…
But wait… there’s one wrong that I haven’t righted yet…
Casey narrows her eyes in anger as she remembers exactly what that wrong is. Once more, her mind flashes back to her last night in UCI, when that fed’s version of #beachkrew assaulted her and took her out, never to be seen again until Action Wrestling. This memory continues to anger her and some of that anger… she’s about to unleash right now.
Casey Holliday: BEACH KREW!
UGH!
Just saying their name out loud pisses me off.
So… because their opponents at Revolution II decided not to “fight smart”, Beach Krew runs the show for a whole fucking month. GREAT IDEA, AW MANAGEMENT! Why would you be so STUPID to even have such a stipulation at stake? I mention them not just because of what they did to me back in UCI and how I haven’t gotten my revenge for that in spite of my recent defense over Alexander Pasternak, I say this because it was teased on social media that they might just look into getting rid of MY championship. Look, I get it. It’s no secret that my title isn’t popular with 80 percent of the locker room because of where it came from and the fact that Spencer Adams brought that title in the way he did and proceeded to make it look like a joke. #beachkrew isn’t fond of UCI like most of the roster but I am going to put those sons of bitches on blast right now. You are NOT taking this championship from me. I already put down Bitch Boy Pasternak. What about you Lockhart? What about you Moor? You want some of this too? What do you think, Lockhart? You want to unify these titles, fuckboy? February 24. You’re in charge. I don’t even need to put this challenge out there. You can make this happen! I’m right here, you son of a bitch! Unlike most of this roster, I’ve got a set and I’m not going to be afraid of you fuckers.
You want to get rid of this title. I want some revenge.
Make it happen… unless you don’t have a set yourself…
Casey takes a deep sigh, doing everything she can to calm down at this point and recoup her focus on the task ahead.
Casey Holliday: Sorry about that… it’s just… FUCK… that’s the ONE THING from UCI I haven’t rectified just yet. Still, as a champion, as someone with a 15-0 record, I’ve GOT to stay focused and don’t think for a second that I am overlooking you, Lisa Foster. It’s just that… let’s be real here… woman to woman. You’re not special, sweetheart. I hate to say that about any wrestler, but this is your second stint in Action Wrestling and you’ve done WHAT exactly? The last time I saw you, you were at Revolution II in the semifinals of the Television Championship tournament getting your ass beat by Bishop which… that in and of itself shows you the kind of choker you really are but the fact that you lost to someone that weeks before, you had BEATEN? SERIOUSLY? You mean you couldn’t have just beaten Bishop again like you had already done and gone on to face L Verez in the finals? And by the way, considering L Verez and her ability to be SO CLUTCH in big match situations, you would have probably won the TV Championship… but no… you choked.
Not the first time though, right?
When I first got here, you had a United States Championship match against TFK. You lost that too. So… I know Karlie Nash cost you and all and ever since then, you’ve been obsessed with getting your revenge on her. Trust me, I get it. Someone costs you a title match and you want to beat the holy hell out of them. Considering I’m in the same boat there myself with #beachkrew, I won’t criticize you for wanting any sort of vengeance. The problem though is… you’ve let that take over your entire career. You’ve become TOO obsessed with it and that’s not good whatsoever. I can see it in that .500 record of yours that you’re someone that has potential but doesn’t quite have it yet to go all the way. Your first stint proved that but the sad thing is, I think you’ve regressed since that first stint. Then again, Karlie Nash wasn’t the focus of your first stint so that makes sense. Don’t you think that this obsession is costing you matches? Because in the grand scheme of things, it is as you’ve really been off of your game since you’ve came back. Yes, I’ve had my vengeance in mind, but I don’t let it distract me. I didn’t let it distract me when I retained against Bishop, I didn’t let it kill me when I retained against McMorris, it was nowhere in my thoughts when I retained last week against Andre and it was ESPECIALLY the case when I fucked up Bitch Boy Pasternak and retained the title against #beachkrew’s weakest member.
I have that focus.
You don’t.
I’m CLUTCH in a big match situation.
You’re not.
Oh and to steal a line you once used in a promo…
“You may have potential, but I have ability”
And not just ability either, Lisa. I’ve got all the tools in the world to be a top-tier superstar for a long time. You’re not just stepping into the ring with a UCI World Champion, you’re taking on the superstar of the 2020s and it just so happened that here in Action Wrestling, 2020 arrived early. As for you? Listening to your promo against Ace Dillinger? It’s interesting how you described him as what YOU are...
Because the way I see it?
You’re not really that special… you just think you are.
You bill yourself as this big, hardcore, tough as nails MMA bitch who takes no prisoners… and yet… Karlie Nash…. KARLIE NASH of ALL PEOPLE is in your head. That doesn’t make you a biug, hardcore, tough as nails MMA bitch. Honestly, the only bitch you are is Karlie’s bitch. You go and call Ace Dillinger a “great pretender” and yet, that’s all you’ve ever been in Action Wrestling, Lisa. I admit that if this was an MMA match, you’d kick my ass. But this isn’t MMA, this is MY SPORT and in MY ring, you’re outclassed, especially by me. Is Karlie the reason why you have to win this match against me too? Probably. See what I mean with your focus not being there for you?
And that is why… Lisa… tomorrow night? I’m looking at 16-0. I don’t say that do disrespect your ability or to overlook you because you know… “any given night” and all that good stuff… but I just don’t see it happening… especially coming off of a title defense and especially since you’ll be so distracted by Karlie’s bullshit while I’ll be focusing on you and shifting that #beachkrew focus out of my head. I’ve got all the momentum in the world right now. What do you have?
Compared to me? Not a hell of a lot.
And with everything I’ve said, I know I have all the momentum, confidence and swagger in the world to make it a sweet sixteen and zero tomorrow! Best of luck to you Lisa… you’re SORELY going to need it.
Casey smirks with confidence as the scene fades out.
Voice 1: Congratulations, Casey! You’ve put the icing on the cake tonight!
Voice 2: Yeah, you went out there and did it again!!!
