Alexander Pasternak and Wade Moor like this
Post by Torture on Jan 26, 2019 14:10:17 GMT -5
- Torture opens the back door to his downtown Los Angeles mansion. He walks in with a bag and takes his coat off. It's a late November night, wet, rainy, gross by California's standards. He's met with a surprised wife who questions why he's home. Torture doesn't answer. He kisses her on the cheek and walks to the stair case. As he heads up stairs he passes by eight years of photos on the wall of his son, and just a year and a half of photos of their second child. His slow walk causes him to notice a few more of the photos than he intended and makes it to his office door and steps inside. He closes the office door and locks it. His wife knows something is up, just hours before she watched Torture not say a word and walk right out of Monday Night Clash.
- It's Wednesday of this week, just a few days ago, and Torture is laying back lifting huge weights up and down. His eyes full of determination. He isn't slowing down. A trainer is yelling at him to keep pushing, keep rocking and rollin'. He isn't slowing down. He's thinking of that piece of shit company WCF and how it somehow lured Corey Black and Gravedigger at the same time. How could a company barely making hundreds of dollars, not even on cable television, and it's PPV numbers so low have the funds to get Corey Black back, and get a one-off PPV match out of Gravedigger? Torture keeps the pace, that bar coming all the way down within an inch of his chest and he pushes it right back the fuck up, every time he grits his teeth wondering if he could have done something different.
- It's a few days after that November night when Torture returned home and he's still sitting at his desk. His ungroomed facial hair coming in, his glass half full of alcohol, his phone vibrating on top of the desk, and his window to the outside world where he stares with the most lost and confused eyes he's ever had. Without even looking he grabs his phone off the desk and sets it in his lap. He takes the largest swig of his glass, wipes his top lip and slams the glass down on the desk. He takes a look at his phone. A text message from Gravedigger "It was garbage, man. Price overpaid like an idiot and I couldn't say no to the free money. That place is a dump, but don't trip, I'm all in on AW. Give me a call!" Torture turns in his chair and puts the phone back down. We see at least 100 text messages notifications, and maybe more on the Phone Call app as well. He rubs his head as he grabs the glass and takes the final drink of the dark alcohol that is starting to consume him now.
- It's Thursday of this week, just three days ago. Torture is on a treadmill going as fast as he possibly can in his black sweaty hoodie. The trainer yelling at him and thats when things begin to slow down to a snails pace. He begins thinking about his family. His wife took the kids to their vacation home deeper in Southern California leaving Torture alone in his house since he was doing a piss poor job of communicating or even getting out of the office. He thinks about the chaos and madness that was brought to his company by guys he thought he respected. This Beach Krew bullshit. Main events, top superstars, pay per view endings all down the shitter because of these four wrestlers banding together to cause more bullshit. He thinks about all of it. Karlie Nash being screwed, Corey Black leaving his AW contract, Gravediggers one night stand with WCF and their ass-backwards bankrupt company, and Beach Krew just running the show and calling the shots no questions asked. It was all too much.

- It's the weekend before Christmas, and the kids are playing in the living room as Torture is in his sweat pants and CoolWear Inc t-shirt. He's sitting up on the couch with another drink in his hand and glassy eyed as fuck. He's staring at the TV as his wife comes down the steps with a few bags. She's trying to get his attention but he turns up the television. It's Skip Bayless talking about Wade Moor getting the best of Torture in WCF (that piece of shit company) and Wade Moor doing it once again in AW causing Torture to disappear. Skip continues his coldest of cold-take-yelling-and-screaming as Shannon Sharpe is trying to rebuttal but who the fuck can hear anything over Skips monstrous takes? His wife is mouthing "We're leaving for a few weeks until you get your shit together, Honey.." but he doesn't hear. She grabs the kids and the bags and a driver helps them to the car. He sits back and grabs his glass of dark alcohol and throws it down the throat. He scratches at his untrimmed beard..
- It's Friday, just two days before Revolution II: War Games and Torture is in a ring at AW head quarters where many veterans and rookies get together for training, dusting the rust off, etc. Torture is sparing with Chris Avery. Avery of course still owns and operates his Wrestling School in Chicago and a long time best friend of Torture, it just makes sense that Avery helps Torture knock the cobwebs out and get him back in motion. The two are fast and heavy in lock ups and chain wrestling. It goes on for about five minutes before finally Torture locks in the Tortures Device and is about to hit it but lets go at the last second and the two take a breather and sit down on the canvas. Avery nodding as if he knows Torture is back to 100%, or well, back to the best he can be for his age and tenure. Torture laser focused but Avery takes the second to ask if Torture has fixed some of the relationships the last few months. Torture nods but doesn't say a word.
- Just a few weeks ago, Torture is sitting in his office and watching the clips from the night before of Monday Night Clash where Andre Aquarius was attacked, then injured and taken out of War Games at Revolution II. Torture is sick to his stomach over it and CBS Sports is running a story about how Camila is giving the Fight Smart boys one week to find a tag partner to replace Andre. Torture pours that delicious dark alcohol into his glass one more time and goes to take a sip when his cell phone nearly vibrates off the desk. He sits back down and his puzzled look tells the entire story. He doesn't even have to unlock his brand new iphone to read the message. It's from Spencer Adams and the text reads "You in?"
- It's Saturday, just 30 hours prior to Revolution II: War Games and Torture is in a steaming hot shower letting the water wash over him from head to toe. Avery yells from outside the room, "Your press conference starts in 15!". Torture has his head against the wall thinking of walking back through the curtain after Monday Night Clash went off the air and him walking directly to his limo. That's when Camila catches up with him and turns him around, she's shocked, confused, questioning everything. Torture smiles and calms her down.
Torture: I'm going to do it. I'm going to join Fight Smart for that match, but I want you to know a few things. I know I should have texted or called you back, I know you had questions when I first left and you may have seemed lost, but what you've done since joining AW as General Manager has been impressive. You're killing it, honey! You're doing great. Keep it up. I'm proud of you, and after Revolution II, lets talk more about a raise, lets talk more about big picture ideas and what we and AW can do for you. I mean it, you're doing a great job. I'll see you at Revolution..
Torture leans in for another hug and Camila is shell-shocked. The entire time she was never truly sure if she was the best for the job but to get that half-assed apology and vote of confidence meant everything. Torture ducks into his limo and it drives away.
- It's Monday morning, January 21st, the night Torture will make his great return on Monday Night Clash and join forces with a stable that lowkey caused him a year ago, some superstars that weren't exactly getting along with Torture last Summer. He's on the phone leaving a voicemail to his wife. He's apologizing, deeply, he misses the kids, he misses her, he wants things to go back to normal as he admits this was just a low point and he felt overwhelmed and exhausted. He tells her he's been working out hard the last week because he's showing up on Clash tonight and he doesn't want her to be blindsided by this decision. He explains that he's going to be in a very violent match at the next PPV in 2 weeks and just wants her and the kids to know how much he loves her. They're everything to him. You may think Torture wants the money, the fame, the wrestling, the branding, the clothing line, the partnership investment with Slickie T to move an NFL team to Las Vegas, the shares in various other companies, but he NEEDS his wife and kids. They're his entire life source, his world, his everything. He hangs up the phone and thats when a driver steps into his office and grabs his to go bag. Torture turns out the light and closes his office door.
- It's right now. Present time. We are live, pal. Torture adjusts his tie and his suit jacket and hears Chris Avery announce him to the podium. Inside the Avery Wrestling School in Chicago, Torture walks up a small make-shift stage and gets to the microphone. A hundred or so reporters and wrestling podcasters join in on this press conference just 29.5 hours away from Revolution II: War Games.
Torture: This won't take very long, and I probably won't take questions, but I need to say a few things. I didn't exactly Dave Chapelle ya'll and leave for another country, the rumors that I killed myself, or rumors that I was working behind the scenes just aren't true. The truth is, I went home. I was exhausted, I was fatigued, and I was a little overwhelmed with everything that was taking place. I'll admit it that it wasn't the best thing to do, it wasn't the right thing to do, but I did it, and I learned through all of it that I need to be here fighting on the front lines of AW as a company president, and even get my hands dirty when I'm pushed into a corner.
Now, lets speak about that corner I've been shoved, pushed, and beaten into. Hashtag Beach Krew will be getting a taste of their own medicine tomorrow night inside that Hell in a Cell. There is no running, there is no game planning, there is no magic and tricks, no spooky goofy CGI, none of that. There is a chain link fence keeping Beach Krew and the four of us inside going to war. They have destroyed plans, they have caused chaos and madness, they have injured my officials, injured Andre Aquarius, threatened Camila Gonzalez, promised to destroy Action Wrestling, cashed in on my World Champion Sidney J. Warwick, and through all of this they have shown their true colors. They are cowards. They are spineless, scared, cowards.
I don't even know who Jared Holmes is, but one look at him, and I can tell the kid is just as good at running away from a fight as he is at kneeling and taking orders from his Pappas Wade Moor and Ryan Lockhart. I didn't sign Holmes to a contract, I probably never would have, I don't see any redeeming quality in Holmes, I don't see anything in Holmes that could ever help me sell a local small time sponsorship, let alone an actual match or segment on my nationally televised wrestling show, so the fact that he is signed is a shocker, but make no mistake, I'm glad he's signed, and I'm glad that he'll be locked in a cage with me tomorrow night. He can't run, he can't hide, and the spineless, scared, coward will get his in the end. Or maybe I'll beat him so bad he'll quit on Action Wrestling like he's quit on every other company he's been a part of.
Man, speaking of quitters, lets talk about that Russian Drunk piece of trash, Alexander Pasternak. I saw some potential in him early, but lets be honest, I didn't see the drive. I didn't see the commitment it took to be a true winner, a leader, a stand out superstar for Action Wrestling. Pasternak is an average kid with a large vocabulary who couldn't finish a 5 minute youtube video about Vodka let alone finish a full segment or even a storyline for Action Wrestling. That's why he never got my full support behind the scenes. I know I shouldn't be spilling the tea as the kids say, but Pasternak will never go far in AW because he can't drive that far. He's mentally weak, he's full of start-and-stop ideas, and that's about it. Pasternak is the shooting star your friend saw but you didn't see yet you lie about seeing it. It happened quick, you didn't see it, but you want to act like you did and it was good. It wasn't. Pasternak is a quitter and I'll be surprised if he even shows up to Revolution II tomorrow night. And if he does, he can go right back to the injured reserve or wherever he went the last 10 times he's tried to be a pro wrestler.
I want to talk about Ryan Lockhart. Hmm.
- Torture pauses for a minute and collects himself.
Torture: He's a good kid. He is full of potential, and make no mistake when he won the All In briefcase in August, I thought to myself here's a kid thats going to do the right thing, at the right time and really lead Action Wrestling into new territories, and really make some money not just for us but for himself. Instead, he took the easy, shortcut, lame way out and aligned himself with this band of misfits and cashed in on Sidney J. Warwick who was already in a match prior and won himself the World Championship. He's a scam. Ryan Lockhart went from the brightest up and coming superstar to the biggest con-artist this place has ever seen, and we employed Charlie Rossi folks.
- It gets a chuckle out of some of the reporters.
Torture: I don't know how he feels, but I feel for him. I feel bad for his family, I feel bad for his friends, I feel bad for his soul. He could have it all, he could genuinely be on top of the biggest mountain in professional wrestling but instead he sits on the shoulders of Wade Moor and two scared jobbers and that's as high as he'll ever be placed in the history of our sport, our company, our industry. Deep down I know Lockhart isn't scared, but I know he feeds off his wanna-be stablemates and tomorrow night I'll show him what its like to be in the ring with a real legend. A real work horse. A real Champion. Ryan Lockhart won't be World Champion very much longer after Tomorrow night and you can take that to the bank. He was a good kid, but tomorrow night, I'll show the dumb kid what a real fight feels like.
- Torture takes a swig from his bottle of water.
Torture: Last but not least, we have Wade Moor. Yeah, it's going to be a war tomorrow night. Wade and I have went to war once over the WCF World Championship. Ugh. WCF. What happened there, guys? Right? That's why you don't give the company to two midcarders with egos who have never finished a project in their life. Anyways, yeah, Wade and I went to war over that Championship belt when it still meant something a few years ago, and tomorrow night we'll share a ring again. Wade Moor is a rare athlete. A wrestler that comes once every ten years, if that. It's a shame companies passed on him and treated him like garbage, and he fell right into our hands. But again, that's all well and cool for my bottom line, but tomorrow he's going to pay for the last few months of bullshit he's caused me and AW. What we have had to endure because of him and his stable has been no less than corporate sabotage and he needs to pay. Unlike the last time we were in the same ring together, this won't be him pinning me, it'll be a different outcome altogether. It will be Torture and Fight Smart standing tall at the end of the night.
Wade and his buddies have taken the Tag Team Championships from Fight Smart, injured Andre Aquarius, tried to ruin this entire War Games match because they know deep down they can't win. They're scared. Fearing the ultimate ending to their small, short reign on top. What will happen tomorrow night will be comeuppance for all of that. Championship belts, legacies, history, the beef, vicious attacks, the constant over-run of Clash's, the advertising dollars I've lost, the main events that were ruined, it all comes back to haunt them tomorrow in a very violent, vicious match where we will rip everything they have ever loved away from them. Jared Holmes love for mediocrity, Pasternaks Vodka addiction, Lockharts claim to a Championship, and all of Wades relationships will come crashing down and will be ripped from them so slowly.
It'll be painful, it'll be messy, it'll be bloody, but above all else, it will be torture.. for Beach Krew.
- Torture thanks them and walks off the podium as the reporters begin going live trying to tell their stations and networks the words Torture just said. Torture goes into the office of Avery waiting for them to all leave. Avery asks Torture if he's heard from her? He shakes his head no, as he checks his phone one more time. He puts it away and Avery pats him on the shoulder, "She'll come around, brother. Don't worry." Torture smiles as we fade out.
