Nashville Tennessee.
You're taking this way to hard.
I can’t show my face anymore.
The scene opens with Karlie and her dad sitting in a restaurant.
Vincent: I really don’t understand why you're taking this loss so bad.
Karlie: You don’t understand, try watching that idiot Bishop lose every week, then finally get another opportunity to finally obtain a championship via the Television tournament, only to lose to fucking Bishop, titles are hard to achieve in wrestling you know that first hand. I go from having two of the best matches of my career to beating an always tough competitor in Rose, to putting up an absolute stinker last week, Nikki and I are booked for War Games, but she doesn’t want to be their anymore than I do.
Vincent: I get that and you have every right to feel that way, but sulking about it is going to help.
Two guys approach the table.
Guy: We hate to disturb you but can we have your autograph.
Karlie: Sure.
Guy: Can you sign it the chick that lost to Bishop.
They laugh then run off.
Karlie: This is what I’ve to put up with since clash, people mocking me about losing to Bishop.
Vincent: Try and forget about and concentrate on your match at War Games.
People continue to point and laugh at Karlie.
Karlie: I don’t need this shit dad.
Karlie stands up and storms out of the restaurant, Vincent pays the check then leaves.
New York City.
Inside her hotel room, Marilyn is once again unpacking her things and going over her checklist.
Arrive in New York City-Check
Set up Room-Check.
Front row ticket for War Games-Check.
The Time I finally get my Karlie-Check and Check.
Marilyn then walks into the bathroom and later steps out wearing a Team U.S.A t-shirt bearing Karlie’s name and number on the back. Marilyn unpacks the same framed picture she has carried to every city, she kisses it.
Marilyn: I love you, and I know you love me, Karlie, you just don’t know it.
Marilyn smiles as she bounces around the room.
Marilyn: I’m so excited.
Back In Nashville.
Vincent and Karlie are working out in a wrestling ring.
Karlie: You move pretty well for an old man.
Vincent: An old man you thought you everything you know, and I’ve seen used that powerbomb I thought you, I think you do it better than I ever did.
Karlie: Nah. you’ll always be the master.
Vincent: So what’s happening with Lisa Foster, that feud was getting hot then all of a sudden nothing.
Karlie: After we attacked each on Clash I figured for sure there would have been a match between us, but instead this tournament popped up, it would have been great to have beaten Lisa in the finals of the Television tournament, add a little more fire to our feud, but we all know that isn’t going to happen, maybe if she of L win maybe they'll give me title shot, but honestly I think the tournament is fixed and Bishop is going to win, then everyone has to watch another lackluster Television title reign.
Vincent: Nikki got a nice win though.
Karlie: Yeah.
Vincent: Okay, I think we’ve talked enough.
Karlie: Bring it old man.
Karlie turns over in her bed clearing her eyes and staring at the alarm clock sitting on the nightstand 12:45 p.m. she turns over again.
Karlie: Great I can get few more hours sleep.
Karlie is awakened by someone shaking the bed, she turns onto her back and opens her eyes, seeing Tracy looking down at her
Karlie: Oh hey Tracy, what time is it.
Tracy: 4:45 p.m
Karlie: Okay, wake me up again in a few hours.
Karlie pulls the cover over herself. Tracy turns and walks out.
Tracy: I’ve never seen her like this, she’s taking this loss to Bishop really badly.
Vincent: I tried talking to her about it earlier, nothing.
Karlie sits at the table picking at her food, before shoving the plate away from her, then standing up and walking away from the table and into her room.
Karlie says nothing as she, her dad, and Tracy head toward the airport. Karlie just flips through her phone as they arrive at the airport she takes her bags and gives her dad a hug as she entered the terminal, she sat on the nearest bench and stared at the floor.
Have ever just wanted to turn off the world and just live in your own little world, since Clash I have felt like that way, going into clash I was on the best run of my career two matches for the world title, and a United States title shot, a win over a tough competitor in Rose, everything was looking up, then I lost to Bishop in the Television Title tournament and all the ridicule I’ve received triggered my depression once again, and what was supposed to be some quality time with my dad turned into to me being miserable, I’m heading to New York City for War games and to be honest my heart just isn’t into it, how easy would be right now for me to just board a plane to Minnesota and head to my cabin and forget I even exist, but life isn’t that easy.
Karlie listens to the announcements never looking up from the floor.
No, that easy at all, instead I’m heading to New York City for Wars Games and a Match with the Royal Family. Was that big plan of yours Kennedy, when you relinquished the Television title for better competition, entering a division that’s pretty much dead in Action Wrestling, sure The Cowboys from Hell are the tag team champions, but this division is so nonexistent they’re defending the tag team titles at War Games against Team Friendship, or maybe you and Estrella have loftier goals in mind beyond reigning over a dead division, whatever your goals are I can guarantee you.
Karlie looks up from the floor.
Team Red White and Bruised aren’t going to just lay down for you like some cheap whore, that would just be too easy, attacking Andre Holmes two on one is one thing, fighting when the odds are even that’s a completely different story isn’t it, but I know you’re looking at Nikki and me and your thinking your match is going to be a complete cake walk, go on thinking that, for it will be so much nicer for Nikki and me when we’re walking out of War Games with a victory under our belts.
Several announcements blares through the airport.
Now if you will excuse me I have a plane to catch.
