The following is a letter addressed to QDT and Roderick Cage; intercepted and published to the Action Wrestling website.
Once again, I find myself in a precarious state. Another week of attacks, with no assistance from our “esteemed” general manager. Once again, I am left holding masks with no indication to the person responsible. And yet, rather than even attempt to control the situation, Camila Gonzalez chooses to continue allowing these anonymous assaults to occur. At least with Staysiak at the helm, I never considered hiring my own personal security…
Speaking of things our general manager is doing wrong; this week sees a rematch between myself and my two opponents from last week in a #1 Contender's Match. Don't get me wrong; with all the distractions going on, I will never be unappreciative of a chance to prove myself. But Quixote already earned his spot last week. And with the respect he has garnered from me, I have no issue in stating that he doesn’t deserve to have his opportunity put in jeopardy like this. As far as myself and Cage, however; if all the combatants in the other qualifier match were too busy being petty to recognize when an opportunity presents itself, I can see how the two of us might earn another chance to compete for the 201 and Fun Championship. So, on that note, I will relay some words of wisdom.
Rod Cage, pay attention. This division was a joke before I showed up. Hell, even ZMac had a laugh; paying off officials to say he was within weight limits to carry the title. At best, his efforts made someone else step up to the plate in order to bring some legitimacy to the division… And that pretender laid down and handed his title to the next guy. Pathetic.
You stand for a broken, weak, meaningless definition of this division. And it takes men like myself and QDT to make the rest of this federation stop laughing at it. So before you go making a fool of yourself by spewing nonchalant bullshit, why don’t you take a moment to consider how utterly unimportant you are to the bigger picture and step your game up? Seriously; I want to not fight you specifically to ensure that your name does not disgrace my list of victims.
Della Torre, you and I have been around this circle enough to know where we stand. Two of the greatest competitors; not only in the division, but in the business. Anytime you and I step into the squared circle, it's a show stealer. Your technical prowess and knowledge beyond your years makes you a formidable force, and I have had the displeasure of underestimating you before. When you originally defeated me for the 201 Title, I told Torture that you were the future of this industry. And I meant it. One day, I'll have pushed myself too far, forced myself into retirement and it will fall on your shoulders to show the next gen what this business is meant to be.
But until that day comes, my dear friend, you still have the unpleasant task of dealing with me. I said it earlier; I don't like Camila putting your fairly won title opportunity on the line, even if I am the one reaping the benefits. But do not take my concern for justice as a focal point for weakness. I will bring the full fury of my experience and anger into that ring on Monday. And while I have every inclination that you will come close to halting my momentum; I will not be stopped. My road to redemption starts with reclaiming my 201 and Fun Championship; and if I must go through you to reach that pinnacle again, so be it.
These sneak attacks have proven a formidable distraction. And, admittedly, it has cost me in the long run; as I am barely treading water in a division I should be headlining. But masked assailants aside, I will begin my climb back to the championship this week. Nothing will keep me from bringing the fight of QDT’s life and the ultimate demise of Roderick Cage. I'll see you both at Clash.
