AW Exclusive: "Andre explains why he signed with AW."
In this prepared segment, the basis is to address the ongoing talk of a recently new signing to the Action Wrestling roster. The man, Andre Holmes, has been acquired by Camila Gonzalez and will be debuting soon especially after the announcement of his championship match against Casey Holliday for the UCI Championship. A match to be watched and admired for the two future opponents have a history that needs to be settled as soon as possible.
The interview was conducted in a small room. Greyish walls padded by blackish plastic blocks aiding the quality of sound the microphones will attract. A modernized couch in mode craft was sat upon by Andre sporting a blackish dress button shirt, denim slim blackish jeans, blackish dress shoes. Accessories of a crystal Michael Kors watch and a golden chain around his neck to complete the look. As always, the dark shades completed the look and speaking from out of the camera view was Adilene Floyd.
Floyd: “Okay. Welcome to Action Wrestling Andre!”
He chuckled from the sincere welcoming committee. The teeth-whitened smile stretched from cheek to cheek as he shifted his right leg over his left and locked his hands together on the tip of his knee.
Holmes: “Thank you so much. I’m glad to be here.”
Floyd: “Of course. You’ve spent almost a year and a half away from us. However, we’ve seen you achieving success outside your peers. Tell us, what have you been up too?”
This would have been a long list. It was no secret that outside of UCI, WCF, NBW and a much more related chain of promotions, Andre has been enjoying his time exploring the variety of options at his doorstep. He shrugged his shoulders, sighed in relief and answered with a calm tone and posture.
Holmes: “It’s been very hectic, busy and interesting. Since UCI became inactive, I went to WCF and then that also became a blur to me. I’ve been busy working with other promotions, experiencing new talent, facing the absolute best in the world and winning championships. It’s been a hell of a rollercoaster. I’ve made new friends, a lot of enemies but overall, just branching out of my comfort zone has opened me to new things.
Which is good! I’ve learned a lot, developed new skills and just discovered new things about myself as a man, father, and a wrestler.”
He was confident and perhaps excited about his experiences. Andre’s been through the highest of highs and lowest of lows. Adilene was also curious about his absence but was relieved to hear it was a great success. She continued the interview.
Floyd: “After all those experiences, why did you decide to sign with Action Wrestling?”
Holmes: “I miss it. I miss home. Eventually, one must leave to enjoy what the world has to offer but there’s always the point where he comes home to remind himself where he started from. Torture, Gravedigger and Camila Gonzalez were more than happy to sign me as I was happy to sign with them. Most of the people I know is here along with new faces I’m eager to meet within the ring.
I could have stayed away and ventured off more into many other promotions but I had that weird feeling in my gut that it was the perfect time to debut. And it is the perfect time after what we heard today from the house show.”
Floyd: “Indeed. You’ll be facing Casey Holliday at Revolution II War Games in the co-main event for the UCI Championship. Why, out of everyone on the roster, did you decide to challenge Casey Holliday?”
He chuckled again. Andre thought the answer would be clear but it was understanding the confusion.
Holmes: “Because of two things. Obviously, I’m a former UCI World Heavyweight Champion. That’s not an easy thing to achieve and even though I won the belt in the most gruesome environment, Killing Floor, I never felt as if I did as much as I could with it. That lingering of whats and ifs had always stayed there. At nights, I would have dreams of the future that I could see myself holding the belt. I told myself it was not my biggest priority and I should focus on advancing my career outside of the UCI environment.
That was until Casey kept putting her name in my mouth for no damn reason. I wasn’t even unaware the UCI Championship was reactivated in Action Wrestling until one of my friends pulled up a video of Casey constantly telling everyone that she’s not like Andre Holmes as UCI Champion. It really was getting annoying and she really was pushing my buttons. So I made the decision to come to Action Wrestling and answer her damn nonsense. She wants my attention, now she has it and she has the nerve to call me entitled?”
He scoffed. Andre remembered all the nights he spent being told by either his peers of fans about Casey’s insults and references of his name. He leaned back on the couch and folded his muscular arms across his chest.
Holmes: “She can call me entitled. She won the belt in a promotion that doesn’t even recognize it as the World Championship. I give her respect for making it the most consistent reign in Action Wrestling but as of now, that reign is going to end. Casey thinks I’m entitled and don’t deserve it, well at the end of the day, the match is made. She won’t have any excuses to persuade everyone to believe I don’t deserve it. I’m the only threat she has and she knows it. Until then, I promise I won’t harm her. I want her fresh and ready so when I beat her at her absolute best, there’s no questioning who is the final UCI Champion.”
Floyd: “Final? I’m sorry. Do you intend on retiring the belt after you’ve won it?”
Before he stood up, Andre looked at Adilene off-camera. He removed his shades and let it hanged from the collar of his shirt.
Holmes: “Everything that has beginning has an end but as one door closes, another one opens.”
He slowly rose from the couch, removed the microphone set from off his waist and collar and walked out of the room.
