#FightSmart Presents: A Steven Crowder meme
RED WHITE AND BRUISE ARE A COUPLE OF HACKS
CHANGE OUR MINDS
Kyle and I sat back with our pride on full display, our faces rightfully smug. The table in front of us where our titles and microphones were placed also served as the support for the sign in question. Maybe the university’s student body was too intimidated to sit down next to us, but it’d been almost an hour and we had yet to have a single one of them try to argue the point.
Kemp: I can’t say that I’m surprised. I’d be scared of us too.
Spencer: Don’t speak too soon, Kyle.
To our left, I can see a girl with a septum piercing and a Karlie Nash t-shirt approaching our table.
Spencer: Neither did I.
College girl: Are you f***ing kidding me right now?
Spencer: If you don’t agree with the sign, you’re more than welcome to sit down and discuss it with us.
I slide the third seat out from the table for her and extend my hand.
College girl: Lindsay.
Spencer: I’m Spencer and this is Kyle.
Lindsay: Yeah, I know who you are..
Spencer: Alright, so the way this works is pretty easy actually. We believe that our opponents for the Carnage pay per view, Red White and Bruise, are complete hacks and are incapable of holding their own against anyone with an ounce of talent in them, let alone the Action Wrestling Tag Team Champions. We are here for discussion though and we welcome you to try to change our minds if you disagree.
Lindsay: Do you even realize how gross this is?
Spencer: What’s that?
Lindsay: Spending the day trying to drag a pair of female role models through the mud like this, women that girls everywhere look up to.
Spencer: First off, nobody looks up to Karlie Nash or Nikki Vaughn.
Lindsay: Oh, so I’m nobody then?
Spencer: Do you look up to Red White and Bruised?
Lindsay: Yes, as a matter of fact I do!
Spencer: You shouldn’t.
Lindsay: Really?!
Spencer: Yes, and I’ll get to that in a minute here. What I’m wanting to know before anything else is what makes you think that Karlie and Nikki are NOT hacks?
Lindsay: They’re great athletes and competitors.
Kemp: Did you hear about Nikki Vaughn prior to Karlie dragging her out of the abyss to try to boost her own relevance?
Lindsay: Oh my god..
Spencer: Did you?
Lindsay: No, but what does that have to do with anything? She’s great.
Kemp: Greatness translates to success. Period. There’s nothing great about being a loser.
Spencer: What we’re saying here is that neither of them deserve a second chance at us, but they’re getting it anyways. The “controversy” narrative that they’re choosing to drive into the ground is nothing but Red White and Bruised trying to save face knowing that the result this time out will be just the same as the last. Karlie knew when she went the tag team route that she had one shot to drum up enough momentum to put a dent in the Action Wrestling landscape. Fits of rage outside of in-match settings are falling flat for her. For all the huffing and puffing and pushing they’ve done, we’re still exactly where we started.
Lindsay: You say that now. Just wait til Carnage comes.
Spencer: I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Karlie Nash is low effort. She’s the one who brought the team to light, she’s the heart. That heart struggles to keep a beat. Only when she feels herself really start to slip does the heart kick back up. She was an olympian. That’s great. What’s not great is being the person who brushes failure under the rug and acts like they don’t care. Historically, that’s been Karlie’s go to and it’s what she’ll go to again when the dust settles.
As for Nikki, I have to question her investment too. No true competitor opts to team with Karlie Nash. Nikki has hitched a ride with someone who goes entirely against her own interest in success. “Aggressive Karlie” is a sham. She sees the spotlight that #FightSmart has gained through pure excellence and is STILL trying to shortcut that however she can. She knows she can’t beat us, so she’s simply trying to be louder. The problem is that her voice is empty. The only thing it’s gotten her is a second moment of embarrassment, another opportunity for #FightSmart to shut it down.
Honestly, Nikki Vaughn’s best bet is to run. If she had half a brain, she’d flee now and let her “team” fall apart sooner rather than later. Someone is going to use someone in that camp and that person will then be tossed aside. Sure, they’re both in it for their own personal interests, but Karlie has the leverage in the team’s dynamic. She brought Nikki in and she knows that as long as she has her close by, she can take her out and if she thinks doing so will benefit her, she will. Nikki should recognize that and seek out a run as a lower card solo competitor.
Lindsay: They’ll be around longer than you two!
Kemp: You’ll see what we see when Karlie’s moved on to the next get rich quick scheme in a couple weeks and Nikki Vaughn is less relevant than Lockjaw.
She folded her arms as she looked out at the sea of students that had gathered around our table over the duration of the conversation.
The somewhat chatty crowd had grown silent, as did Lindsay who pushed the chair out and stood up to leave.
Lindsay: F*** off.
She threw her bag over her left shoulder and went off down the sidewalk behind us.
Nothing.
As the crowd remained silent, Kyle stood up as well, collecting his belt as he did so.
Spencer: I’d say so.
We headed off towards the parking lot as AW crew members scurried to pack things up.
Spencer: That’s the plan.
