The video package opens with an interview. Each participants gets to reveal their name as it plays only an excerpt containing their answer.
CHARLOTTE: “So any thoughts on Chris facing seven opponents in the battle royal match on October 21?”
STEVEN: “Not a chance.”
VIENTO FEUNTE: “He’s gonna lose.”
BLACK ONYX: “Sorry, Chris. But you’re not gonna win this one.”
NARCISSO: “Who’s Chris? Is he-“
DOUGLAS: “He’ll get squashed for sure.”
Next clip, Chris is in the gym training for the upcoming match. In this training montage, Chris is doing some weightlifting using some weights suitable for him. Later, he works his punches and kicks using a punching bag. Later, he is trained by coach Tino with focus mitts equipped. After that, Chris puts his training to test in the ring. After the training, Charlotte wants to ask Coach Tino.
CHARLOTTE: “So Coach, how’s Chris?”
COACH TINO: “He’s fine. He is making a good progress.”
CHARLOTTE: “Does he have a chance to win his upcoming match?”
COACH TINO: “All I could say is that he has enough skill to do well in the ring.”
Onto the next segment, both Charlotte and Douglas look on the phone. The camera is being shot by someone via request from Charlotte. Chris notices them as he approaches.
CHRIS: “Hey guys. What are you watching?”
DOUGLAS & CHARLOTTE: “Shhh!!!!”
Chris joins in as it shows a video made by one of his opponent, Kendra Waterson. At this point, she begins to speak.
KENDRA (in the video): “Okay... so we got Chris Eno... I wonder if his family is the creator of that stomach pill? Or is that Uno? One of them is a game and one of them is to help us burp……”
Both Douglas and Charlotte try to contain their laughter but can’t help it. Chris on one hand, responds as either he is hurt inside or he doesn’t find the content funny.
DOUGLAS: “Oh man! Comedy gold.”
CHARLOTTE: “Yeah, that girl roast you really good.”
DOUGLAS: “Maybe I should call you ‘Stomach Pill’ instead of ‘Pinhead’.”
CHRIS: “That’s not funny.”
DOUGLAS: “Oh come on. You think all it takes is some roast from a family girl to knock you down. (He pauses.) Come to think of it, I never name myself as Eno.” (He proceeds to laugh hardly.)
CHARLOTTE: “Cheer up, buddy. Say, let’s play some Uno to cheer you up.” (She bursts with a laughter.)
Chris sighs as he shakes his head and walks away from them apparently with resentment.
CHARLOTTE: “Come on, Chris. It’s just a joke….”
On this next segment, Chris is sitting with his coach, Tino and on the table is a portfolio that contains profiles of wrestlers he’s facing with.
COACH TINO: “Okay, let’s get started.”
CHRIS (nods): “So we got PETROV who is a powerhouse and a brawler.”
COACH TINO: “Interesting… We still have to work on damage resistance but we have a little time for that. We need to see other opponents first.”
CHRIS (agrees): “His moveset is pretty decent, more on throws than strikes.”
COACH TINO: “Good. You’re doing well at escaping grips since your last sparring match. I expect that you should do that more when facing him.”
CHRIS: “Yes, coach.”
COACH TINO: “You better be careful though. He is a rumored to be a cyborg.”
CHRIS: “…Okay.” (Onto the next opponent.) “THE ULTIMATE DESTROYER… Surprisingly, he’s 7 foot and 400 pounds.”
COACH TINO: “You face someone before, taller than you.”
CHRIS: “Yeah, but this one is taller than I ever face before.”
COACH TINO: “Keep in mind that all you need is more brains than brawns in the match, in order to beat such mighty competitor.”
CHRIS (nods): “Okay, coach. His in-ring style is quite versatile and his moveset is more on throws.”
COACH TINO: “I’m starting to think that this could be a good training for you to increase your efficiency as an escape artist.”
CHRIS (laugh): “Yeah. (He looks at another bio.) “Speaking of escape artist, we got FRANKIE HAREWOOD.”
COACH TINO: “Hm… A boxing background and a high fight IQ. Surely, he’s not to be underestimated.”
CHRIS: “Good thing we got the info here; otherwise I would be unaware and gone unprepared.”
COACH TINO: “I see another reason why you need to be discreet in the ring. Not only he has great footwork but he can trick his opponent if not careful.”
CHRIS: “Yeah… this is getting tough.”
COACH TINO: “When you face him, be sure not to waste your energy. I have a plan that would be useful to survive from this guy. I could tell you later after this.”
CHRIS: “Thanks, coach.”
COACH TINO: “MS. MONSTER… ‘Technicallly proficient bruiser’.”
CHRIS (looks closely at her bio): “Now she is pretty much the ideal technical wrestler. Throws, submissions and an aerial move as her finisher.”
COACH TINO: “Yes… it could be an interesting challenge for a technical wrestler like you.”
CHRIS: “Yeah… better to keep an eye on this one. I would probably learn a thing or two about her.”
COACH TINO: “Let’s see who else. KENDRA WATTERSON. I heard that you were like offended by her quip towards you.”
CHRIS: “Look, everyone can be offended by an insult. It’s natural. Also, it will soon to get old.”
COACH TINO: “Wow, you really are changed. Anything you like to talk about?”
CHRIS: “Nah, I don’t like to talk about it. Anyway, she as a brawler is quite interesting. Though I’m technical, she’s pretty good to learn about.”
COACH TINO: “So what are you saying?”
CHRIS: “Probably teaming up with her or facing her with a long-term rival could make me learn a thing or two about her in-ring work. And maybe, I could adopt it for myself….. I don’t know, just saying.”
COACH TINO: “So same with Ms. Monster?”
CHRIS: “Yup. So far, Frankie Harewood, Ms. Monster and Kendra were seem to be as she stated the term “legit” in the battle royal.”
COACH TINO: “That’s… pretty neat to hear from you.”
CHRIS: “I’m no genius. Though I want to be a ring tactician someday.”
COACH TINO: “Okay, there’s one left. ODD.”
CHRIS (looks at the profile): “His in-ring style is pretty wild… And dirty, I guess.”
COACH TINO: “Probably best to be careful with this guy.”
CHRIS: “Yup.”
COACH TINO: “Well, that’s all of them.”
CHRIS: “Wait a sec. The card said that there will be eight competitors in the match. And yet we just gather only six of them. What happened to the other one?”
COACH TINO: “HAJEET? Sorry, no information about him.”
CHRIS: “Hm… No info about him. I should really be careful about him. We don’t know what has been capable of.”
COACH TINO: “Yeah. I think I could come up with training exercise for you in preparation of your debut match. But keep in mind that you need ring awareness, strategic thinking, and of course, skill in order to work it out. Also, I should discuss any further about your match.”
CHRIS: “Thanks, coach.”
COACH TINO: “Shall we head back to training?”
CHRIS: “Yup.”
Both of them go out from the setting as the clip cuts to another segment.
In this scene, both Charlotte and Coach Tino discuss about the results of Chris’ training.
CHARLOTTE: “So Coach, how’s Chris been doing?”
COACH TINO: “He’ll be fine.”
CHARLOTTE: “So he is like have a little chance to win his upcoming match?”
COACH TINO: “Like I said, he’ll be fine.”
CHARLOTTE: “Get it to me straight, Coach! Does he have a chance to win this thing?”
COACH TINO: “You’re worry about him, don’t you? Ok, let me explain.”
“Initially, he is a bit rusty just as Chris said. Well the good news is that we fixed it. He is able to perform some of his moves with no sweat. As a matter of fact, he was able to perform a Shooting Star Press with no difficulty at all. Also, let me remind you that if he wasn’t train earlier in the first place, we would had any difficulty in regards to his training.”
“The bad news is that he can’t perform his finisher without getting him hurt. However in his case, it wasn’t very serious. He should repeatedly perform his finisher so that over time, he could lessen the pain he’s feeling. What is actually really serious is the fact that he wasn’t unable to perform some aerial moves using the top rope. So in the upcoming match, we wouldn’t expect him to do it so. “
“Overall, he has enough skills to compete in his upcoming match, if not, a good chance to do well in the ring.”
CHARLOTTE: “That’s a good news indeed. But there’s one thing, if he can’t perform his signature, why not just make a new one or make his Shooting Star Press as a new one?”
COACH TINO: “There are some things you don’t know about him. But to start this off, he has decided to abandon his move set in the past and go for a new one. Also, did you know that his finisher was also his wife’s finisher as well?”
CHARLOTTE: “Sakuya’s finisher? Really?!”
COACH TINO: “Rumor has it that it was the very move where his wife used to win a title before she put her wrestling career to rest. Now Chris has her finisher not only as a passing legacy but also as a sign of romantic bond between both of these wrestlers.”
CHARLOTTE: “That’s so sweet… (Very cheesy if you ask me.)”
COACH TINO: “Now with that said, I’m sure that you are confident to know that he is going to fine in the match. After all, he has just getting started.”
Charlotte is happy as she learns from the word of her coach. This concludes Chris’s entry.
