Bio:
As a young Muslim boy growing up in Basra, Iraq, Abdul did not have it easy. His father one of Saddam Hussain’s Republican Guard’s had died during the first Gulf War at the hands of a raid by American Marines. Abdul grew up wanting to be a great professional wrestler as he loved watching the illegal videos he had managed to get his hands on from some of the Oil workers from abroad. He dreamed of working as a professional wrestler around the world to get him and his family out of Iraq and being the best in the world but something happened to deter him from this.
He lived with his wife and child in Basra when the Coalition invaded his homeland. On 5 April 2003, US bombers targeted the residential al-Tuwaisi area of downtown Basra, reportedly attempting to kill Ali Hassan al-Majid (a.k.a. “Chemical Ali”). Al-Majid was not present, but seventeen civilians were killed by one of two 500-pound laser-guided bombs dropped by US planes. Abdul’s wife and child were amongst them those that died.
This could have set Abdul down a very dark path but instead he poured his efforts into becoming the best that he could into becoming a wrestler. Eventually promotions from around the world came looking for this sensation from Iraq that they kept hearing about and he signed his first contract to wrestler abroad. It was here that he met the man that would eventually become his manager Rafiq and they would travel the globe. New Edge Wrestling did not know how to really use him in their promotion as they were fined by the Networks and lost Sponsors because of Abdul's promos and he was soon released from his contract.
This did not deter the plucky Iraqi and his associates, Abdul soon joined the short lived EWF and went on to be their EWF North American Champion before the company went out of business. He then signed on with the nGw as they tried to build up their roster and with a man that he met on the Independent scene Dae-Han Kwon they went on to become the nGw Tag Champions in their second match for the promotion. Then he was approached by the worldwide wrestling promotion UTA and won his first World Championship as well as other championships there. At the same time he signed with a new wrestling promotion called Wrestle-wars that was trying to break out and Abdul’s career in America went from strength to strength. This was the pinnacle of his career.
After that he was a part of a British based wrestling promotion called Riot Star Wrestling for a while and even had a shot at their Network's World Championship before he received what was thought to be a career ending injury. He disappeared from the fore front of professional wrestling at this time instead turning his hand as the mentor from new Muslim talent trying to make a name for themselves in the world scene but were being held back because of racist stereotypes. He was successful at this for a while before then he disappeared until recently from the scene where we now find out that he has surgery to solve his injury issues.
Attire: As he walks to the ring he is dressed in traditional Arabic white thaub and kaffieh but he removes it for black boots and wrestling trunks at ringside.
Theme Song: “Call to Pray” by Seether
Entrance:
RING ANNOUNCER: And on his way to the ring now accompanied by other members of the Arab Nations, standing at six feet and two inches; weighing in at 242 ibs. Hailing from Basra, Iraq, he is the Butcher of Basra, Abdul bin Hussain!!!
Cameras pan around the sea of anxious people who are cheering loudly at the showing of respect towards the wrestlers. Suddenly, the cheering ceases as the loudspeakers crackle, all attention is devoted to these very special proceedings. A large American Flag unfolds from the rafters and hangs majestically over the ring area, each ear expecting to hear the immortal “Star Spangled Banner”.
The big screen starts to show all sorts of American iconic sites. Children playing in the streets, baseball matches, troops in the Middle East. Those images dissolve into footage of various terrorist attacks from around the world including 9-11 until finally the Iraqi flag with two scimitars underneath filled the screen. This soon gives way to a hooded figure. The scene pulls back to fill the whole screen with this figure having sprawled at his feet American soldiers.

The fans begin booing nearly to the point of an inverted standing ovation. The noise from the fans is deafening with the ferocity of the boos. The roving arm of the cameras picks out people in the crowd. As they realize there on the screen they hold the signs higher. Ice Blue strobes cut around the arena as blue smoke billows from underneath the grating on the ramp way. The whole top of the entrance way bursts into a circle of flames.
Slowly rising directly through the flames in a huge throne; the throne seems to be made of scimitars all fused together with heat forming the chair itself. Sitting atop the throne is a man dressed in traditional Arabic white thaub and kaffieh.
The throne rises fully onto the ramp way. It is none other than the Butcher of Basra, Abdul bin Hussain. Phosphorus flames blast in twin columns to the heavens behind the throne.
He sits motionless, emotionless. As “Call to Pray” by Seether begins to blare loudly through the arena, it is eerily evident that this isn’t be a time for celebration. Outraged and appalled, the almost speechless fans erupt in hatred all at once.
He stands and looks out at the crowd in slow motion as his two menacing bodyguards Ahmed and Fazil emerge through the curtains. They look about themselves at the crowds who are booing really loudly. Abdul motions towards the entrance way as the rest of his entourage comes through the curtains. Rafiq, Khalid, Nazirah and Akeed all stood behind him.
With a look of disgust Khalid swings the Arab Nations flag above his head as the group slowly walks towards the ring ignoring the boos from the crowd. Abdul climbs between the ropes and strides to the far side of the ring. Climbing the turnbuckle he lifts his arms up high to the boos of the crowd. Flash bulbs blink from all around the arena catching this moment in history. He gets down and looks around and looks at the top of the ramp way. He nods his head and stands in the middle of the ring as pyros explode behind him and the others.
