We opened up a few days later after this past Apex, inside a cozy but small apartment in downtown Chicago. The sound of match highlights fill the room as Kyrie Ali lays on the couch with his eyes glued to the tv as he rewatches the highlights of their most recent match against Leno and Andrews for what seems to be for a record fifth time this week so far. He watches with his usual calm demeanor until then the front door cracks open and The Brat Jessica Parker walks in, her face lit up like a spark with a bright smile, She's carrying snacks full of their favorite snacks.
Jessica Parker: Hey guys! I brought your favorite snacks to help cheer you up.
She sets the bags on the counter, and then looks over at Kyrie whose eyes are still fixated on the tv.
Jessica Parker: How many times are you going to watch that video, Kyrie?
Kyrie responds without looking away from the TV.
Kyrie Ali: Until I see where I went wrong.
Jessica's bright smile she walked in with falters slightly. She then glances around the room and notices that her love Kenny Drake is missing.
Jessica Parker: Where is Kenny?
Kyrie points towards the back without ever breaking eye contact with the TV.
Kyrie: He is in the gym.
Jessica nods, and walks toward the back of the apartment. She opens the door to the gym slowly, finding a sweaty and visibly frustrated Kenny Drake relentlessly pounding on a punching bag. With one final thunderous punch, he sends the bag swinging widely, then turns to face Jessica with a facial expression that shows anger and disappointment, Jessica meets his gaze with concern in her eyes.
Jessica Parker: What's wrong with you?
Kenny responds with his voice filled with frustration.
Kenny Drake: We lost our match. I took the pin and failed us.
Kenny drops his head and shakes it before looking back at Jessica.
Kenny Drake: We were supposed to go on a run in the tag team division, be undefeated on our way to winning the DPW Tag Team Titles. But now my mistake has the critics all over us. People on social media are saying, I see why they are the worst, and that our win over eNVY was just a fluke!
Jessica steps closer to Kenny, slowly taking his hand, and pulling him gently towards her. She looks deeply into his eyes and speaks with a reassuring voice.
Jessica Parker: Listen to me, Kenny. It's just one one loss. You and Kyrie can bounce back from this. The Worst Generation can still go on that run, but if you start to doubt and quit now, you'll just be proving your critics and doubters right, but if you and Kyrie can bounce back from this and go on and be everything that we all know you two can be, then you'll show them Worst Generation isn't just the best when they win, but because they know how to bounce back from a loss. Just like you both have been doing all your life.
Kenny's expression softens but still has a look of worry and regret.
Kenny Drake: Yeah I know you're right but I just feel like I let Kyrie down and I think he feels like I let him down.
Kenny looks away, the weight of guilt evident. Jessica puts her hand on his shoulder, ready to say something comforting, but before she can, Kyrie walks into the room.
Kyrie Ali: Bro I'm not mad at you. I'm mad at myself. I wasn't there when you needed me the most and that's on me.
Kyrie takes a few steps closer towards Kenny and Jessica.
Kyrie Ali: Bro we're in this together. We win together, we lose together. We just have to learn from this and come back stronger.
Jessica smiles as she squeezes Kenny's hand again.
Jessica Parker: See everything is better. Now let's go regroup because Worst Generation has to get ready to make sure TJ Alexander and Ace Sky have a Worst day!
The camera fades out as Worst Generation gets ready for what's next.
We open up to the rooftop of the apartment building of the Worst Generation in Chicago Illinois. Overlooking the city skyline as the evening sun casts a golden glow, highlighting the determined faces of The Worst Generation Kenny and Kyrie, Jessica stands with them. Her presence commanding attention, Jessjca steps up with exuding confidence.
Jessica Parker: Last week was a setback but not a downfall.
Jessica winks with a smirk on her face.
Jessica Parker: You see with every setback their is a bounce back and that will come at the expense of Ace Sky and TJ Alexander, and I hope you're ready for what's to come. Because Worst Generation has been preparing and they are ready to show everyone that last week was the fluke and not the debut win.
Jessica then steps aside slightly, allowing Kennya and Kyrie to take center stage.
Kyrie Ali: You see we've been listening to what everyone's been saying about us. From the podcasts to social media everyone has had our names in their mouth. Almost as if everyone couldn't wait for us to fall flat on our faces. Happy to see the Worst Generation get some humble pie, because I'm sure everyone thought it would shut us up, maybe even make us take our ball and go home.
Kyrie looks at Kenny as he shakes his head.
Kenny Drake: But we ain't built like that! Our pipes don't burst when the pressure increases we just become more unbreakable. You see we've faced setbacks before growing up in this city you see behind us. We've been down and counted out in life but each time we get out asses right back up and that's not going to change now.
Kyrie nods his head in agreement with Kenny.
Kyrie Ali: And that's all facts, a loss doesn't define us it jus makes us stronger and makes us lock in seven more because the goal remains the same we want those DPW Tag Team Ttitles so if we got to prove ourselves all over again then we will because there is nothing we wont do to achieve our goal, which means TJ and Ace get ready to have a Worst Day!
Kenny nods his head in agreement.

Kyrie Ali: You boys have faced each other and TJ came out on top. Then you both tried your luck in the gauntlet and you both came up short, and now you're thrown together. Sent it to face a pissed-off and more focused version of The Worst Generation and that's just worst news for you because I'm sure you think you'll put together like Leno and Andrews and create some magic in the ring together but lighting doesn't strike twice.
Kenny smirks and nods his head in agreement.
Kenny Drake: You see while you two will be trying to figure out if you can trust each other and learn to work together on the fly, we've been doing that. Sharpening our skills since the day we both ended up in that foster home together, we were surviving in the streets together, we came up on the indy scenes together. This bond we have right here is unbreakable and not even a loss no matter how hard we took it wasn't going to shake that foundation!
Kenny pauses as Kyrie steps back up.
Kyrie Ali: This right here is special, The Worst Generation are special because we knew even when we was kids that people didn't think much of us, they counted us out every chance they could get just like it is right now. Because we know everyone is against us and want to see us fail again. Because we damn sure will because we know it's a lot more ats take for us than you two because if you lose you both go back to being single wrestlers, chasing your singel championships but if we lose to you two after falling short last week then maybe we just aren't ready like we thought we were but I can tell you right now we ain't going to allow that to happen, so whatever fight you think was your toughest in your career then get ready to add a new number one because we are about to give you everything and more than you can handle.
Kyrie: So when you wake up in the morning the day after Monday Night Apex and you feel like life just git you hard and you feel like it's going to be the Worst Day, just know The Worst Generation just passed you by.
