(Voice over)
VO: To look forward, you must look behind. I've been here before. A Thunderdome match. A TLC inside a Hell in a Cell. The first to escape through the top, via the ladder is the winner. Given my size, my height, my sex. I shouldn't even be in this match at Evolution. But I am. I relish these kinds of matches. I'm in my sacred space.
...A Hell...in a.... Cell...
(Camera fades from black to a shot of Vespertine and Rae Rossi Black battling it out at the top of a Cell. They are trading blows back and forth, and then suddenly, Vespertine does a spinning heel kick and knocks Rae down, which breaks the cage at the top and she falls to the floor below. She lands on her back and lays there dazed. The announcers are going crazy, the crowd is popping big time. She flies and goes straight down attempting a senton bomb right onto the stomach of Rae. She bounces off and rolls around, Rae coughs up blood as does Vespertine but she crawls over and lays an arm over her. A three count later, she has won.)
VO: I wasn't supposed to win. I was the underdog. Rae was everyone's favorite. But I have done Hell in a Cell matches before. Mostly against the one who mentored me, Nightelf. IN another federation, another time. I keep getting put into HIAC matches, the reasoning being that this will stop me from gaining momentum. I perservere, I see it through. I give my all, I give my 120% and the reasoning just....fails.
...T doesn't always mean Tender....
(Camera cuts to shot of Vespertine and a man duking it out near the corner post. A stack of tables is in the center of the ring.)
VO: T doesn't not always mean Tender. T means tough and, T also means Tables. I have been in several over my career. With mixed results. On this night, Sean O Hare and I were battling it out for a title. He had beaten me once before for it. I couldn't let it go. So I suggested we fight again. Management suggested a tables match.)
(Camera cuts to shot of Sean as he discus punches her and she goes down hard. He picks her up in a Jackknife Powerbomb, looks around, sees the tables stacked and powerbombs her, the tables crack and shatter and she lays there unconscious. The bell rings and Sean raises his hand in victory)
VO: Tables matches are a double edged sword. They can go either way. You must walk a fine line and always be aware of where you are in relation to them in the ring. Make one wrong move and you can end up going through a table.
...L doesn't always mean Loving....
(Camera cuts to shot of Vespertine setting up the ladder outside of the ring, then backing up and running up the ladder to suicide dive her opponent, Addy A, in the ring.)
VO: I've been in ladder matches. They aren't forgiving. They don't bend or break like a table does. And it can backfire. I have been injured in ladder matches.
(Camera cuts to shot of Vespertine standing the ladder up at the edge of the entrance ramp. She starts to climb to the top as the camera pans down and we see Jaice's prone body on a few stacked tables down below. She looks around at the audience, gives the Jeff Hardy gun salute then launches herself and executes a senton bomb onto Jaice Wilds making them both go through the stack of tables. She crawls out of the wreckage and ruin and blood to cover him. A three count later and they have retained the CW tag team titles.)
VO: I'm never been the odds on favorite. Regardless of how unforgiving ladders are, they excite me as they have helped me so much through my career.
(Camera cuts shot, same match, Vespertine holds a title in victory and is bleeding profusely from her head.)
....C doesn't mean Caring....
VO: There have been many times where I have had to undergo chair shots and chair matches. Too many chair shots to the head can do major damage. But if you use a chair correctly they can be your friends.
(Camera cuts to shot and we see two female wrestlers against Vespertine, one is holding her in a full nelson and the other one winds up and hits Vespertine right in the face. They do this one more time before they throw Vespertine to the mat. She is bleeding profusely from her face and head as the announcers are calling for medics to come help.)
VO: Harmony could never see the future. She only saw the present. And I was getting too big for her. So when I suggested that we go one on one in a chair match, she never saw it coming.
(Camera cuts to shot of Vespertine setting up two chairs in the ring, picking Harmony up and executing her Osaka Street Cutter onto Harmony which causes her to hit both chairs. All around the ring there are bent chairs everywhere. Vespertine is bleeding profusely as is Harmony. But in this instant, she is awarded the victory as Harmony is unable to continue fighting.)
VO: She found out the hard way, C doesn't always mean caring.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________
(The camera starts with a spotlight on a Hell in a Cell. It pans closer and we see with it is a table, a ladder and a chair. It pans upwards and we see Vespertine sitting at the top of the ladder.)
Ves: To see the future, you must look at the past. Let me start this with Doc's ending phrase. THIS.... IS....WAR! What's up, Doc, Johnny. How you doing? See I have nothing against you personally. The problem I'm having is you were just thrown together after being rivals for years. Management needed a third team and figured ok you guys will do. Therein lies the problem. YOU are going after a title that is mine and Karlie's. We said to ourselves that when we lost the CW tag team titles, that we would go straight for the tag team titles. The only team standing in our way was ODD. And now here you are. You don't deserve to be here. You have nothing in common with Cedrone and yet they put you two together. You are just one more obstacle in MY way to getting the tag team titles. Do you think you have what it takes? Really? Do you? Then bring it Doc, Cedrone and I will guarantee you, that this won't be just a battle, this will be a war. A war that you won't win. Only one team will win, that being ENVY.
(She pauses, switches gears)
Hey Sparkles. Did you have fun on that cross? That was our warning to your fucking grandfather. It's his fucking fault for you being on the cross, and for you ending up in flames? It will be his dumb ass that will make you lose the tag team titles to ENVY. He took our CW titles away from us. Wrong fucking move! We will take your fucking titles away. Yeah ole Draggy may look and act like a big deranged mute monster but I have faced bigger, and more deranged so what he does matters little. When I exact vengence, that is what should matter the most. Bring it Draggy. Twinkletoes. Bring it and I'll show you that you are nowhere near my level of prowess in these types of matches.
(Her smile widens)
YOU.... are in my yard. In MY ring. You step into in my yard, you will bow to me. I thrive in these type of matches. I have no fear, no qualms, no shortcomings. I will climb and fly, to reach my destiny. I mean 6 months ago I debuted against Chase Jackson and then Niobe Martin. Two perpetual jobbers, one of which ironically now carries the US Title. At this Evolution I dance with Holiday/Cedrone, aka Joliday, and Draggy and Sparkles with my tag team partner Karlie Nash. All those names I have mentioned have been here longer than I have, are bigger than I am, are faster than me, and are more hard hitting. BUT I go into this match because I know what I am capable of, I know what my opponents are capable of, I know what my partner is capable of.
(She gets serious again)
Evolution. A fitting name because in a way we have all evolved in some way to get here, none more so than me. I will not fail. I will not falter. I don't give up, I don't tap out. We can't be counted out. So... keep up and fly or go down in flames. If you can't....
(eyes narrow)
Then you will feel death... by.... diva.
(Camera fades to black)
