Roleplay Rules
1. One roleplay per match. Follow word caps listed under your match.
2. If the cap for a tag team match is 2k per tag team, that can be split up however you wish.
3. Roleplay word counts are strictly enforced and are measured by using wordcounter.net. To ensure that your roleplays don't go over cap, once you're finished and have posted it, you can copy and paste the roleplay from the thread and paste it into wordcounter.net. This will tell you your word count. It doesn't matter if you're one word over the limit or 500, it's a hard cap and an auto loss if you go over cap. You have a two hour window after posting your RP to cut out content to stay under the word count limit. (Please note: If you decide to wait until less than two hours before deadline to post your RP, you do not have a full two-hour window, your window ends when it's deadline time. You will only have 15 minutes!)
4. Any RPs edited after deadline or going over word count limits will risk you automatically losing your match.
5. Deadline is Sunday @ noon PST, 3pm CST (unless stated otherwise on the card for the show).
6. No plagiarism. (This will result in an automatic ban.)
7. Please post roleplay on the actual roleplay board. We strongly discourage external sites or Google Docs used for roleplays.
Response Shoot
We get it, efeds all have different criteria, different way of doing things and playing the game.
With the exception of the Hardcore Championship matches, response-shoot is more or less looked down upon here at Discover Pro Wrestling.
What IS response shoot?
It's when you read your opponent's roleplay and then write your roleplay basically saying "no, u". You don't need to respond to your opponent's roleplay, that same week, with what he said-she said type of stuff. It's not fun, it doesn't make for good story, and there's plenty of ammo to go around to where you don't need their roleplay to write yours. Using your opponent's PAST words are fine; that's not considered response-shooting in this situation.
This also eliminates anyone not wanting to post their roleplay early for fear of having their opponent use it against them. You can post early, later in the week, whenever, scoring is the same!
Why?
We feel there is PLENTY of story for you to use surrounding your match, your character, the show, and our world for you to have plenty to shoot on. With any basic search and "research" you can find plenty of ammo to use in your roleplay against your opponent whether you're starting out or coming back!
(Note: Some RPers don't read their opponents roleplay until after they've posted just to be sure they don't response shoot.)

Tips for success for your roleplay:
- Make sure you understand the cap limit under your match on every week's card.
- We use wordcounter.net for official scoring. We do not use these ProBoards, we do not use Google Docs, we don't use Notepad. We only use wordcounter.net.
- We're looking for a tight, cohesive story from start to finish that has match relevance, great in-depth shoot and some story arc that pushes your story along! Sometimes this is easier said than done, sometimes this is flat out super easy, but that's what we're looking for.
