The scene opens up inside a nice eloquent restaurant. We're talking fine dining, not your Cracker Barrel or Waffle House joint, like dress code type shit. The restaurant is none other than Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar in Fresno, California. As the camera pans around the crowd it see's two familiar faces, that being Doc Holiday and his associate, Jens Jett. They are both dressed in Black Armani suits sitting across from each other.
"So now you're chasing the tag titles, eh?" Jens says to Doc, trying to break the ice.
"Yep," Doc says with a short answer.
"What made you decide that? I thought you wanted the World Title" Jens asks.
"Just something to do I guess" Doc answers, seemingly not focused on the conversation.
"Are you sure? Because all you could talk about was winning the World Title and now you're teaming with your biggest rival" Jens says.
"It is what it is," Doc answers shortly again.
"What's up with you man, you don't seem to be all here." Jens says about his friend's demeanor.
"I don't know, I just got other shit on my mind I guess" Doc says, grabbing the lowball glass of bourbon in front of him and taking a drink.
"Is it about the kid?" Jens says, trying to get to the root of the problem.
"I don't know." Doc says, pausing briefly. "It just seems that everything seems to be going great in my life and NOW all of sudden a wrench gets thrown into everything. There's ALWAYS a fucking WRENCH! Why can't shit just be simple for me ONCE in my fucking life!" Doc says venting out what he had bottled up inside.
"It's not that big of a deal man, so what, you got a kid? Doesn't mean you can't go do the things you want to do" Jens says, trying to console his friend.
"Yeah, but at the same time, I don't want to be a deadbeat dad like my father was. Prison and life on the road is the same thing to a kid. Instead of seeing my dad through a glass window, mine gets to see me on TV and not with him at home." Doc says.
"You're not your father, man. You have a chance to do better than he did." Jens reassures Doc.
"How am I supposed to be a father, when I can't even take care of myself?" Doc says.
FADE TO BLACK
The scene opens back up inside the hotel room of Doc Holiday. He is sitting in the middle of the couch in the lounge area of his room. He is wearing the same suit as before, but minus his jacket. He holds a glass of bourbon in his hand as he gathers his thoughts about the upcoming match at Clash. He takes a sip from the bourbon before placing it back onto the table in front of him.
I'm sure everyone wonders why my attention has changed from World Title aspirations to a Tag Team title chase, but if you think about it, the choice is really out of my hands. I can sit here and whine about how I am REPEATEDLY passed over for World Title opportunities time after time, or I can simply not be a fucking bitch and choose a different route for the time being. What Cedrone and I have a chance to do is something generational. Something that will be talked about in the Tag Team world for generations. Speaking of this so-called Alliance, I will be representing us for a chance to pick the stipulation for the match If I win. Which sounds great, because there are so many options. I would absolutely love to put Vespertine through a table, or push Draugr off the ladder and onto Karlie Nash. Because FUCK EM THAT'S WHY!
Karlie, I know that you've found new success with your new playmate, but truthfully, in my opinion you and Vespertine are coming together as a team after multiple losses. Sure you won your little Cruiserweight Tag Tiles, but lost them shortly after, to Addy and Sar Pettis, who can't even spell 'Win' If you gave them the "W" and spotted the "in". We throw Addy in to make a title look good, every so often, but eventually she loses them, just like everything else. You and Ves can try to come up with the big dogs, but there's nothing up here for you, except hurt feelings and bruised bodies. We're a bunch of hammers, there's no use for rusty scissors up here.
Then we have the might, mighty Draugr. Many consider him a monster, unstoppable, unmovable, and unbreakable. However, the things he's done in Action Wrestling are the same as what I have done. The only thing he's done that I haven't is win the Tag Titles. When given the opportunity at Evolution, I will relieve him and Lexi of those straps. Because there is nothing about him that is special, he's just a man after all with a higher tolerance for pain I guess? I've sent him to his limits and had victory within grasp, so I do not need to fear a man that I can beat. I will go into Clash against this mid ass cruiserweight and this horror movie rip off, and walk out the winner, because neither of them have what it takes to face a REAL MONSTER! I am the boogeyman here in Action Wrestling, I give all the Champion's nightmares. Hoping to god that they don't have to face me one on one for their beloved title, because I've held most of them. And when I win, let's just say I hope that you're prepared to get a little HARDCORE! You're stepping into the ring with the absolute best in Action Wrestling. I've got the plans laid out, the battlefield set for Evolution and when I win, you'll know that...THIS IS WAR!
