“The Saint” Johnny Eden and New Brotherhood like this

Drained and completely wiped, Kevin barely holds up against the wall across from his son Darren’s room. The empty bed calls to him with whispers of happier times… Times that didn’t demand him to sacrifice every inch of his being and leave his memory warped in the process. He remembers Darren giving voices to his Wolverine action figure as he battled a swarm of Sentinels. He remembers his deep belly laughs because of terrible dad jokes about feeling a bit jumpy after eating frog legs or how clowns taste funny. The scar that has been left hurts worse than anything Draugr could put him through, but the memories… Twisting them and contorting them, left him crushed. The toughest decision of his life, choosing a life to save… Between the two loves of his life, who in the right mind could make that decision? Let alone choose to make that decision?
“You made a choice…”
Kevin’s eyes shift over to Karma walking up to him, her hand slowly intertwines with his. Life still looks to have been sucked from his body.
“Nobody should ever have had to make that kind of decision, Kev. Be it some sick fucking illusion or not. Draugr held you two hostage for weeks and not a soul knew where you were or what kind of shit you were being put through.”
Kevin’s eyes start to build up with tears.
“It was hell, Karma and there was a point…”
Kevin swallows a knot in his throat and Karma rubs his hand.
“When I was forced to watch the two of you beneath those white blankets and when I was forced to make that decision… Your life or his… Karma, I looked back at all of the hell we put people through over the years and as your name sake… I felt like I deserved it.”
Karma shakes her head.
“You don’t deserve this, Kevin, not a single bit of it. You aimed to better the world and you’re not the first to do so…”
Kevin shrugs.
“But, my closet isn’t empty of skeletons, Karma and after being forced through it all, I found myself asking, why must Cipher pay for my sins? He’s innocent in all of this…”
Karma turns Kevin’s head towards her.
“You and Cipher are family, Kev… Cipher isn’t paying for your sins here, he’s choosing to take them for what they are, as he takes you for what you are. When the footage was released of what the two of you went through… I saw a unity that goes beyond what the two of you do in that ring. He sacrificed his own flesh to see the two of you find your freedom. You may stand here, mentally and physically wiped, feeling like your demons are haunting Cipher… But I stand here with you to remind you that you two proved without a shadow of a doubt that you are built to overcome whatever comes your way."
Alone in his room, Cipher sits in silence, the weight of recent events pressing heavily upon him. The memories of the torture he endured gnaw at his mind, like relentless beasts tearing at his sanity. He runs a trembling hand through his hair, his breath coming in ragged gasps as he struggles to steady himself.
In the dim light of the room, shadows dance across the walls, twisting and contorting into grotesque shapes that seem to mock him. Every creak of the floorboards, every whisper of the wind outside, sends shivers down his spine, amplifying his sense of isolation.
Whispers of oblivion echo in his heart.
He feels a creeping sense of unease, a growing paranoia that threatens to consume him whole. The walls seem to close in around him, suffocating him with their suffocating presence. He wants to scream, to lash out at the darkness that threatens to swallow him whole.
There is no one here to hear his cries, no one to offer solace in his darkest hour. He knows he must keep it together, for the sake of his mission, for the sake of his sanity. But the darkness looms ever closer, its icy fingers reaching out to drag him down into the abyss.
Whispers of oblivion echo in his mind.
His eyes open a rage welling within he feared would never past. A blazing inferno, consuming him from within with its searing intensity. It coils around his soul like a venomous serpent, injecting its poison into every fiber of his being. This burning fury will devour him whole, leaving behind nothing but ashes in its wake.
Whispers of oblivion echo in his soul.
This relentless beast that refuses to be tamed. Yet even in the midst of his turmoil, a sliver of hope flickers in the darkness, a tiny beacon of light amidst the chaos. He clings to it desperately, knowing that it is the only thing that can save him from the abyss.
The light grows dimmer…
The New Brotherhood War room was a stark and imposing chamber, designed to instill a sense of power and authority in all who entered. Dim lighting cast long shadows among the dark wood paneled walls. A large oak table dominated the center of the room scattered with surveillance photos of Lexi Sparkles and Draugr. They show Draugr out of his costume sharing loving embraces with his granddaughter among other things. They show the O.D.D. squads various dominance within the squared circle, and an image of Draugr hoisting the United States Championship above his head victorious against Doc Holiday.
The atmosphere in the war room crackled with tension as Cipher and Kevin Bishop sat facing each other, their expressions dark and determined. The events leading up to their showdown with the O.D.D. Squad had left them seething with anger and thirsting for vengeance.
Cipher's jaw clenched as he spoke, his voice low and dangerous.
"Draugr and Lexi Sparkles have crossed a line, Kevin. They've made this personal, and they're going to pay for what they've done. Draugr has violated the trust and integrity of the entire wrestling community by kidnapping us and torturing us. Maybe even worse, he is poisoning the mind of his sweet granddaughter.”
Kevin's eyes blazed with fury as he nodded in agreement. Each time he closed his eyes he envisioned the melting visages of his wife and son, and the terrible choice he thought he was supposed to make.
Talking to Karma after that took more courage than he ever thought imaginable. Kevin has literally looked death in the eye and spit in its face, but telling Karma about the choice that he made shook him to his core. The fact that she embraced him and agreed with the decision that he made shook him even more. What a dangerous road to travel down. And as he thought about it more his fist clenched tighter, his fingernails breaking skin on the palm of his own hand and blood began dripping onto a photograph of Lexi.
"Damn right they are. We're not going into this match looking for a win, Cipher. I’m done playing nice.
I’m done playing fucking games.
I’m done holding back!
They think that they can just do what they did and get away with it? They think that they can pull us from our homes? We’re not the type of people to fuck around with, are we Owen? We’re not the type of people to take humiliation and degradation sitting down. Like a phoenix from the ashes we are going to rise, and like a bat out of hell we’re going to tear them apart, limb from limb."
His gaze flickered to the table where a photo of Draugr and Lexi lay, a twisted reminder of his suffering. His teeth grated against each other.
“They’re going to SUFFER, Owen. I’m going to make them pay for every second of pain they inflicted on us.
Every bruise.
Every scar.
Every sleepless night.
They’ll wish that they never laid eyes on us, or our titles.
I’m going to tear through them like the nothing they are. I’m going to show them what real pain looks like. And when I’m done with them they’ll beg for mercy…”
Cipher tore up a photo separating Draugr and Lexi, then tore it sideways, ripping the tops of their heads off.
“But we won’t give it to them. Not after what they’ve done. They’re going to suffer, Kevin. Worse than what they did to us. That despicable wretch thinks he can toy with us, manipulate us like puppets on strings. I’ve seen this mother fucker try to fucking agent orange people before. He is selfish, conniving, maniacal and outlandish. He is going to require all of our attention and then some.
He's awakened a beast in me that I feared would rear its head one day. He’s tempered the flare of the ancient dragon whose heart beats deep within my chest. The flames of desire will engulf this mother fucker thill all that is left is dust, and ash, and pain and sorrow.”
A sinister grin twisted Kevin’s lips as he leaned forward, his gaze locked on Cipher's. "We're going to make them regret ever crossing paths with the New Brotherhood. Draugr may have thought he could break us, but he's only succeeded in fueling our rage."
Cipher’s fists clenched at his sides as he growled, "Let’s not forget about Lexi… She may be his granddaughter, but she's chosen to stand by his side. She's just as guilty as he is, and she's going to pay the price. We focus on Draugr, but don't underestimate Lexi. She's proven herself to be a formidable opponent, and we can't afford to let our guard down."
Kevin's eyes gleamed with a primal intensity as he leaned forward, his voice dripping with malice.
“She may be just a pawn in Dragur’s sick game, but she’s going to pay the price as well for every second of torment we endured. She’ll regret the day that she looked at the monster she calls her grandfather and embraced him. You get to choose your family, you and I have proven that. There’s no need to sit back and allow yourself to be taken advantage of by someone who wants nothing from you other than to push their own agenda.
And if there’s any semblance of a soul left in the dried husk of Draugr it’s going to be torn asunder as he watches what we do to his precious grand-daughter. The worst thing that he did to me was make me watch an image of my family being tortured. Seems to be the only fair way to handle that situation is to force him to watch his ACTUAL family being tortured."
And if he can still stand there and watch it then we know what we’re looking at. We’re not looking at a man. We’re looking at a monster. And you know what we do to monsters, don’t you Cipher?”
“Limb from MOTHER FUCKING LIMB!”
"We're going to hit them with everything we've got, Cipher. No mercy, no hesitation"
Cipher's expression hardened into a mask of determination as he stood, his gaze locking with Kevin's. "At Blast, we send a message to the entire roster. The New Brotherhood is not to be FUCKED with. We're coming for anyone who dares to stand in our way."
Kevin rises to his feet, his fists clenched at his sides as he nodded in agreement.
"At Blast, we show them what happens when you mess with the wrong people.
AT BLAST, we make them pay."
With a silent nod of understanding, Cipher and Kevin turned as one, their minds set on one goal: destruction. As they exit the War room the air crackled with anticipation, the promise of retribution hanging heavy in the air.
At Blast, the O.D.D. Squad will learn the true meaning of fear.
After Blast…the New Brotherhood will reign supreme once more.
