Third generation superstar Lexi Sparkles was born to me an impact here in Action Wrestling. With only two matches under her belt in this tenure, she is in for a match that appears to be randomly generated to make Driller Jaworski look good. At the Coca Cola Coliseum in Toronto, he will defend the Television Championship against Lexi Sparkles, Niobe Martin, and Taylor Sweet.
Today, Lexi Sparkles is having brunch with her grandpa, the mighty DRAUGR. They were waiting for her step-mom Sara Pettis to arrive, but she had an important meeting run too long.
“You’re really goin’ to town on those pancakes, grandpa! Or did you call them flapjacks?”
She snickers. He doesn’t think it’s funny.
“I don’t think I can eat another bite but you… you’re going to put this buffet out of business.”
Her eyes widen as he annihilates the food before him. Once his plate is clean, he gets up to go back to the buffet for more.
“Oh, okay. I’ll just…”
She sighs. She pulls out her phone and opens up Facebook, but the app tells her that she needs to log back in. When she enters her password, nothing happens. When she clicks the option to send a code to her email, nothing happens. Instead, she opens up the camera app and starts recording.
“When I get bored, I like to record wrestling promos. It’s something I’ve done all my life, way way way before I even knew Raging Dead was my father. Something in my blood has always been drawn to pro wrestling. I’ve been a fan my whole life, and it’s all I’ve ever cared about. I feel good watching wrestling. It completes me. It makes me whole. When I signed with Action Wrestling, I was so stoked to team with my grandpa and chase the Tag Team Titles. Fate had other things in mind, and I’ve been sitting around doing nothing.”
“Next week, however, I have the chance to truly follow in my father’s footsteps. One of his favorite matches in Action Wrestling was against Carter Shaw. Long before Carter was World Champion, he had a great run as Television Champion. July 13, 2020… my father fought Carter for the TV Title and he… lost. While he took the loss personally, he handled it graciously. He knew in that moment that Carter was the better man, and didn’t hold a grudge. He was happy to see Carter’s success, and he would have loved to see his run as World Champion.”
“Nearly four years later, I randomly have the opportunity to win the title that got away from my father. When I left CanadaClash on Monday with my grandpa, I had no idea there was a plan to put me in a fatal four way for the TV title next week on Clash. On paper… it’s random as all heck. Driller Jaworski just won that title at Payback… in a match where he lost the Cruiserweight Title… and now he’s going to defend again… me. Well, not just me. Niobe Martin and Taylor Sweet will also be there. But at the end of it all… there will be… me.”
“Unlike with his match against former World Champion Tatiana Jolee, there will be no sing-a-longs to prepare for it. He swung and he missed with that one, didn’t he? He slipped by Jessie Lee without harm and expected to just walk over Tatiana Jolee? That’s absurd! He didn’t beat Jessie Lee, and then he also didn’t beat Tatiana Jolee. So now he’s going to huff and puff. He’s going to stick out his chest. He’s going to drop a bunch of one-liners about how he’s not inspired by me, he’s not intimidated by me, and he’s going to beat me at Clash.”
The mighty DRAUGR returns to the table with four plates balanced on his strong arms. He places them on the table and goes back to devouring the food like he’s been starving on a desert island for several months. Lexi leaves the camera recording, switching to the back camera.
“Grandpa, do you like my chances of winning the Television Title on Clash?”
He grunts. She switches back to the front camera.
“Driller is a good, strong champion. He’s got a lot on his plate next week with three challengers. Well, I guess there’s only really two challengers. Taylor Sweet doesn’t really count. From the moment she arrived, she hasn’t amounted to anything. I know that sounds harsh, but it’s the truth. Niobe Martin, on the other hand, has been at this for a while. She’s had countless title shots over the last two years and none of them were successful. I’m sure she’s hoping this one is different. After losing to Addy again on CanadaClash, she’s probably not in a good headspace. I totally get it. What a setback. She flopped out of the Match Madness Tournament, but now she’s got a chance to rebound with another TV Title Match!”
She switches to the back camera.
“Grandpa, what are your thoughts on Niobe Martin going into her dozenth shot at the TV Title?”
He grunts. She switches back to the front camera.
“My thoughts exactly.”
She grunts.
“Niobe, girl, bless your heart. You’re like a dog without a bone but you really want that bone. Shot after shot, and you never lose that spirit. Thats’ admirable but like… come on! You’ve seen Driller in action! You know how good he is! What you haven’t seen… is just how good I am! I haven’t even scratched the surface of my potential here in Action Wrestling, but maybe with this TV Title… I will feel closer to my father.”
She sighs. Realizing she’s bringing down the mood, she forces a peppy smile.
“Okay, enough of that. No more sad times. We’ll save that for when Driller says mean words about me, Niobe, and Taylor. Driller is about to have a really bad day when he meets me in that ring."
LOL.
The end.
