The scene opens up inside the eloquent offices of none other than Action Wrestling's very own, Doc Holiday. As usual he is sitting behind the large mahogany desk staring at the skyline behind him. He is dressed in a very nice violet Armani suit. A color not typically worn, but fuck it, because when you're an icon in this sport you tend to be able to do whatever you want and get away with it. His trademark glass of bourbon sits on its coaster, the condensation on the glass shows how cold the drink is. The United States Title sits on the desk in front of him as he begins to speak.
"It feels so generic to do my promo's from my office so often, but let's be honest, this is business and all my business is handled here. So far business in AW has been good, I'm in a prime position within the company and amongst the wrestlers that others have to worry about. All of last year was just rumblings, what ifs, and potential. Now this year is the take over. I'll take this United States Championship and restore its credibility from the tarnished legacy that Sitcom gave it and the volley it took some time before that. But in order to do that I have to focus on things one day at a time and one match at a time. Starting this week."
Doc stands up and removes his jacket to reveal a similarly colored violet undershirt and dark purple tie. He walks over to the edge of the desk, looking at his United States title. A culmination of his success in the company so far.
"Monday will be a great testament of how well I can truly co-exist with someone who I've had a somewhat rocky relationship with. Of course, I'm talking about Jody Madrox. He and I have had our little exchanges, with me coming out on top every time, but he didn't give up and found his spot in Action Wrestling and I have to say I respect him for that, because a lot of others in his situation would have just folded up shop and said they just weren't cut out for the business and went to work selling insurance at some place like Keokuk. Jody though he's got this sort of grit and uniqueness that makes him a little different than anyone in this organization. However, I just wanna say Jody, don't fuck this up, because we're going into this both as champions facing some pretty formidable opponents and they fight like hell to stay in the match. We need to be focused on the task at hand and that's coming out with a victory against Johnny and Niobe. If we leave even a little space for them to hope for victory, they'll run with it and frankly I'd like to keep my victory streak intact with Niobe. So come with your game face Monday, because I'm gonna be really pissed If I have to do this shit on my own. We've both got titles to defend and if either of us doesn't hold up to our end of the deal we'll both fucked in our next match."
After giving some sage advice to his tag partner, Doc takes a second to recollect himself, before speaking on the other members in the match.
"Now onto Niobe Martin. I mean what can I say about you that I haven't said ten other times? To me you're like Herpes, because every single time I think I've got rid of you, there you are. Especially before a big date. I'm really struggling to not repeat myself on anything I've already said. How about your most recent match? How good does it feel to beat on a girl who just lost everything that ever meant anything to her? Wow congratulations, right? It's kind of like winning a race against a toddler, but were you really on a level playing field? Because it looks a whole lot like you took advantage of a situation and kudos, but I would bet that next time you face off that she is going to fuck you up. Because face it Niobe, people like you don't beat people like her without having a leg up. You never had something TAKEN from you and had to rebuild your life all over. So in honor of Mercedes, I'm going to give you the ass whooping you deserved at Clash!"
Walking back behind the desk, Doc looks at the city beyond the windows.
"Then we have Jonny Cedrone, a man who's kind of in the middle of a few different stories here. Was he attacked by Bozo, was he attacked by 'O'? Who knows? All I really know is that I ain't about the bullshit. Because, right now they're saying that he deserves a shot at my United States Title and that we should show him empathy for being in recovery and being attacked. He should have known when he signed up for this. These things happen in wrestling, if someone doesn't like you, they'll make it known. Whether it's with a crowbar, a baseball bat, car, or even a Pepsi vending machine. *Shoulder shrug* This is a brutal business and if you think you can get by in this business unscathed with no harm or foul, you're definitely as stupid as you look. At Clash you and your little friend Niobe are gonna learn about what I've been about this whole time. I've always been about outworking anyone I've faced, my love for the game is second to none, while yours I question at times. Which Cedrone is gonna show up? While me everyone knows exactly which Doc Holiday is gonna show up. Everyone knows to bring their 'A' game against me and more often than not, it's simply not enough to beat me. I'm ready for this match, but I know the way the game is played...THIS IS WAR!!!"
