“When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.” Alexander Graham Bell.
Karlie sits on the steps of her cabin.
Turmoil was supposed to be another crowning moment in my career, being the final Women’s champion, but that didn’t happen and Mercedes gets to forever have that claim, so good for her.
Karlie smirks.
But when one door closes another one opens. Holiday Bash another opportunity presents itself, an opportunity to win another title I’ve never held, the Cruiserweight title.
Karlie drinks from her thermos.
Airborne and Andre Jenson are already in the match, with the other two spots to be determined this week on Cruiserclash, Mercedes vs the Ushi and myself versus Freddy Whoa Jr.
Karlie puts cover on her thermos.
Do I feel insulted that I have to qualify for a match I should already be in.
Karlie stares into the camera.
Fucking right I do, but hey that’s how it is right, Make one of cruiserclash most decorated members qualify for Holiday Bash against some scrub formally from developmental who did basically nothing in Omega and got his ass kicked by my former protege, so what chance does he stand against someone like me.
Karlie stands up.
I’ll address my opponent later but for now I have to take care of a few things around my cabin, honestly I’ve gotten a little lazy with the maintenance.
Karlie turns the knob on the door.
Think I’ll start with a few things inside.
Karlie walked inside and shut the door.
Several hours later Karlie is again outside her cabin fixing the roof.
My work is never done.
Karie finished and climbed down the ladder.
Should get me through the winter.
Karlie folds the ladder and leans it against the rail, then adjusts the camera.
Fred let me enlighten you on something, being a second generation wrestler means nothing when you're the son of a ring announcer, wrestling is all you have Fred, and unlike you I’m a once in a generation talent, I had no one to help me get my foot in the door, unlike you.
Karlie rubs her hands together.
Fred, it’s funny to me that you couldn’t beat my former protege while you both were in developmental, but you're here and she wasn’t given any real opportunity to prove herself, for that Fred, I have to make an example of you, and I mean that with complete offense.
Karlie walks down the steps.
Fred, sure you managed to get a contract with Cruiserclash and again that pisses me off, you see Fred, you've been given this opportunity to walk into the Holiday Bash cruiserweight title match at my expense, but that isn’t going to happen Fred, one door closed with me when the Women’s title was retired, and another has opened for me, to win another title I’ve never held, you think I’m going to let you take that from me Fred.
Karlie pulls the camera in.
Fred listen to me a listen, what you did in developmental means shit to me, what you’ve done on cruiserclash means shit to me, sure you’re good and you have potential to be better, but being good isn’t going to cut it against me, Fred, on my worst day I’m still better than you, but I’ll give you every opportunity to prove me wrong, this week.
Karlie smirks.
Fred, people have always underestimated me, and every time I’ve proved them wrong, this week Fred you're a stepping stone, and I’m sorry if that will upset people, but I don’t care. Fred you’ve drawn the short straw in this fight, and once the bell rings you’ll be in a fight you cannot and will not win.
Karlie cracks her neck.
But don’t worry Fred, after I beat you this week, you can go to your dad for advice on becoming an announcer, maybe that’s your true calling announcing real stars, like me.
