The scene opens up on the street of a nice quiet suburban neighborhood. The camera pans over to a nice two story house that is somewhat decorated for Christmas already. Our attention quickly pans over as it hears the loud thunder of an exhaust barreling down the road. All of a sudden the Mercedes pulls up next to the curb in her red IROC-Z Camaro. She opens the door and steps out of the car and walks up the sidewalk to the house. She is wearing tight black leggings and an 'AC/DC: Back in Black' t-shirt. Her hair is in a ponytail and her make is on point. She rings the doorbell and soon a little girl in a white dress opens the door.
"Hello?" she says shyly to this strange woman.
"Hey sugar plum," Mercedes says to her. "Is your dad home?"
"Uh huh" she says.
"Can you go get him?" Mercedes asks the girl.
The little girl runs away leaving the door partially open. A few seconds later Parole Office Steve walks up to the door.
"Ahh Mercedes, I'm glad you could make it!" Steve says inviting Mercedes into the house.
"Thanks for inviting me Steeeeeeeeeve!" Mercedes says as she walks through the door to
"You're welcome, go ahead and sit down, we're just about to eat." Steve says as he walks with Mercedes into the dining area.
"Good I'm starving and I didn't feel much like eating Turkey spam at the RV Community Center." Mercedes says sitting down.
On the table is plenty of food. Cuts of turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, candied yams, corn, green bean casserole, both kinds of olives and dinner rolls. Steve and his wife sit at the ends of both the tables as Mercedes and the little girl sit opposite of each other. Steve's wife is a beautiful brunette lady who reminds you of Jennifer Anniston, and his daughter a 50/50 mix of the both of them.
"Why don't we go around the table and say what we're thankful for before we dig in." Steve says
"That sounds wonderful honey!" his wife replies.
"I guess I'll go first," Steve says. "I'm thankful for my family, the opportunity to work in a career that is both challenging" Steve looks at Mercedes, "and rewarding, I'm also thankful that the Cowboys are doing well this year!" he says with a smile. "What about you Fiona?"
"I'm thankful for my family, my friends Candice, Tiana, and Josie. Also I'm thankful for my bike, my scooter, my sidewalk chalk, and my tablet..." Fiona is cut off by her father Steve.
"OK, obviously you're thankful for a lot. What about you Mercedes?" Steve asks
"Well that's going to be really hard to follow up. I just guess I'm thankful for my friends and family, and a kick ass…” Steve glares at her to not cuss in front of a kid. "I mean a kick butt Camaro that I get to drive everywhere. I'm thankful for a great Parole Officer who is patient with me."
"Well that was interesting," Steve's wife says. "I am very thankful for this house we live in, our small little family, and friends that are both old and new."
"Great, let's dig in, everyone!" Steve says as dishes are passed around and people start to eat.
FADE TO BLACK
The scene opens back inside Mercedes' vehicle, she is driving along just jamming out to "Need a Favor" by Jelly Rolly. She looks to be in the same attire as she was when she went to Parole Officer Steve's Thanksgiving. She turns down the music and begins to talk.
"You know I've given a lot of thought about this triple threat for the Women's championship and I feel like a lot of people feel like my win was a fluke. I was unknown and underestimated, but now I've lost the title and wasn't able to recapture it again after that. But I know all about legacy, and I NEED this to be my legacy. Like Dale Earnhardt and the Daytona 500, I'll go out in a blaze of glory If I have to. I'm not afraid of these so-called veterans that I have to face. Karlie Nash already has cemented her legacy in CruiserClash and has already beat me twice. Niobe Martin has been around and been faithful to this organization for a while. Neither one scares me, just like in poker, I'm what you call a wildcard. Sure you've seen me out there and you see that I'm a raw unpolished gem out there, but remember I'm a gem nonetheless! I want my belt back so it can come back to the trailer park where it belongs. Mounted above my mattress with a little bit of Karlie's blood on it. There could also be some unknown fluids on it as well. We'll never know what she does with this belt, cuz she's a fuckin weirdo. Niobe is about the only person I truly somewhat respect, because of her ability to just keep showing up. Karlie is forced into retirement, because she lost, but she can't even honor the stipulation. Then again there is no honor amongst thieves and conmen. Ones who try to sell you salvation despite their greed and need for material things. I may be a savage and a heathen, but at least I can take that and own that. You on the other hand have only shown that you are a manipulator and narcissist and at Turmoil I'm going to watch your whole world crumble as I hold up the Women's Title and become the last champ to ever hold it! I will love watching your pain and tears flow while I am forever remembered and you slowly fade to oblivion. At turmoil you and Niobe Martin will remember the name
