[Off Camera]
The scene opens up inside the lounge area of a luxury hotel suite. The whole place fits a luxury aesthetic, from the various plants, leather furniture and mahogany coffee tables and nightstands. As the camera pans around the room the camera notices a very familiar man in Action Wrestling. It is none other than the phenomenal and controversial, Doc Holiday. Although the looks of the suite are luxury, Doc himself is in nothing more than a pair of swimming trunks and a signature pair of Aviator sunglasses. He is laying on his side on one of the leather couches, with his phone in his hand scrolling through some sort of social media when the phone rings. It is a FaceTime call from "Dr. Eli". Doc sits up on the couch and puts the phone on the table resting it against the vase of a plant. Doc answers the call as Dr. Eli's face appears on screen.
"Doc, it's nice to talk to you again. I wasn't quite sure If you were ever going to schedule another appointment." Dr. Eli opens with.
"Yeah, I'm still not one hundred percent sold on the whole therapy thing yet, but it did help me see things a little more clearly." Doc responds.
"I see that you were able to get back in the win column last week" Dr. Eli says, showing that he has interest in his patient's lives outside of the office.
"Yeah, but I also took a beating after I decided to defect from my crew." Doc says matter of factly.
"I saw that, was there a reason behind all that drama? It seems like you guys were doing well." Dr. Eli asks curiously
"Thad just made everything about him and the whole Tailor Made gimmick was just to get him back in the spotlight, when truthfully the spotlight should've been on me and Jessie." Doc explains.
"I saw that you tried to talk some sense into her about TFK." Dr. Eli mentions
"She's in too deep for me to talk any sense into her. She was a lost soul when she joined Tailor Made" Doc says with some empathy. "She was just drifting around not knowing her goal or place in AW or life"
"Kinda like yourself don't you think?" Dr. Eli points out.
"Not really, I have a goal, that's to be the World Champions" Doc says defensively.
"But what happens when you achieve that goal?" Dr. Eli asks, "What happens when you won the NEWera World Championship?"
"That was different, the owner died and he became a friend of mine. After he passed and I won the title I had nothing left to prove." Doc says defending his actions.
"So when you're chasing something you have motivation, but when you achieve it, what else is left?" Dr. Eli says, trying to deep dive into Doc's psyche.
"Legacy" Doc simply says.
"Maybe Jessie feels that her legacy is within Tailor Made and now her motivations were to take over AW?" Dr. Eli says putting new ideas into Doc's head.
"It could have been, but I came into TMFG as my own man, I was already about the lifestyle. I thought TFK would help me take my career to the next level, but it was just him using me to elevate himself and his former glory." Doc explains. "Jessie, on the other hand, was broken and needed to be molded into what she has become. Because she certainly wasn't that way when we first started."
"We're all molded by something Doc, whether it's past trauma or people we look up to. Sometimes it's both." Dr. Eli continues on. "I'm sure that your past with growing up with your father never being around and the things you faced everyday in your neighborhood, made you who you were. Then when you got to The University of Iowa, I'm sure you found some role models."
"That is true, I came in with a chip on my shoulder and had to prove to everyone on the team that I wasn't just some thug from Oakland" Doc says thinking about his first few weeks of practice at Iowa.
"But you weren't a thug, is that what you wanted to prove?" Dr. Eli asks Doc.
"It didn't matter to me, I just wanted them to prove I belonged in the best wrestling room in the country with the best wrestlers on the planet." Doc says in his typical bravado.
"How did that go?" Dr. Eli asks knowing the answer
"I hurt someone, and I got in big shit with the coaches." Doc say with a sigh
"What happened after that?" Dr. Eli asks
"Tom and Terry sat down and told me that the intensity that I showed needed to be put out on the mat during meets and tournaments and not in the wrestling room." Doc says somewhat dejected. "They told me that I didn't need to prove myself to anyone and that I was here for a reason. Not just to fill a spot."
"How was your relationship with them after that?" Dr. Eli inquires.
"Great, they were really someone that I could call on any time I needed them and there were times when I really needed them." Doc says recalling his relationship with his coaches. The only other men that he had trusted in his life other than his older brother.
"What if they were to turn their backs on you?" Dr. Eli asks
"It would never happen, they're leaders." Doc fires back.
"Well maybe Jess feels like you were a leader that turned your back on her" Dr. Eli suggests.
"You keep making analogies that don't work. I was a pawn, just like she was. There was no leader between the two of us. Just two people trying to claw our way to the top." Doc explains.
"Maybe that's how you see it, sometimes you don't get to decide whether you're a leader or not." Dr. Eli suggests.
"I've got to go, but I'll catch you at a later time" Doc says turning off the phone before Dr. Eli can say anything
Doc sits back soaking everything in, not knowing what to think about the knowledge that Dr. Eli just put on him. Just then Jens Jett comes through the ain door to the suite. He is dressed in a nice burgundy Dior suit, custom form fitted to his body
"Bro what the fuck are you doing?" Jens asks Doc, looking at him in his robe.
"I'm getting ready to hit the sauna. It's good for you" Doc says to Jens who just looks at him puzzled.
"The only time I like it hot is when I'm clapping cheeks. Nawmean?" Jens goes for a dap, but it is completely ignored.
"You could probably use some sauna time, maybe an ice plunge. Clear out some of that shit going on inside your head." Doc says to Jens.
"My head is fine, nothing a little cocaine and strippers can't fix" Jens says as he sits down on a chair near Doc.
"That coke is gonna rot your fucking brain man." Doc says
"If you do it every day, I only do it when I go to the strip club" Jens states
"When are you not at the strip club though?" Doc asks Jens, a sort of 'gotcha' type moment.
"I don't go on Monday or Tuesday, mainly because the talent always lacks on those days for some reason. Although I have bagged a couple 8's on a Tuesday." Jens says recalling that memory
Doc just chuckles at Jens, "You got any money on today's games?"
"Not in any games, but a buddy of mine told me I should put some money on David Montgomery to score a touchdown against his former team." Jens explains. "So I put down ten grand."
"Nice!" Doc says with some enthusiasm, "I like that, I think I'm gonna get on Caesar's and put some money on the Las Vegas Raiders to cover +13.5, I hate laying points with teams like the Dolphins. Any time they get a spread like that they shit the bed. Plus the Raiders are playing tough since they shit canned McDaniels."
"Yeah, but the Dolphins can open the top on a defense and be up by 21 points in no time. Tyreek is for real!" Jens explains.
"I don't know man, these Raiders are playing inspired football right now, they very well have a chance to make the playoffs" Doc reiterates on his case for the Raiders pick.
"It's your money man, but I'm definitely staying away from it, because I don't wanna lose money." Jens laughs, "As if money really mattered!"
"Hey, I'll catch up with you when I get back from the sauna and we'll watch the games before we head out.' Doc says as he gets up from the couch and gets up to go.
"I'll be here" Jens says as he grabs the remote and turns on the TV.
"Of course you will, you're always here" Doc says jokingly.
Fade to Black.
[ON CAMERA]
The scene opens back up inside the gym of the hotel Doc was staying at. There are various dumbbell weights on stands, couple racks with benches and various machines like Leg Press, Leg Curl, and Lat Pull down. The camera pans to the sauna as Doc opens the door and walks in. The camera follows him in as he sheds the robe he is wearing, accommodated by the hotel he's staying in and is now in just a towel that covers his waist. He goes to the controls and cranks up the heat as he sits on the bench and leans back relaxing. After a few moments some beads of sweat start to form around his forehead and upper body. He breaks the silence and starts to talk.
"Some people perform better when the heat is on. I, myself, like to think that I am one of those people. Does it always equal a win? Not always, but I've been in plenty of battles, whether it was wrestling at Iowa, fighting in the many MMA promotions around the globe, or as a professional wrestler. I have fought some of the toughest opponents that have ever competed, I didn't always win, but that's life. As much as you want to win every match, sometimes other factors come into play like if you're sick, the weight cut was too much, or the one everyone hates to hear, the fact that someone is better than you. The truth though is sometimes that little fact can hang on people's consciousness. I've been guilty of that before, because the mental side of this game is a real motherfucker. The more I've competed, the more I've been able to sharpen my mind and turn it from my biggest enemy into my greatest asset. I no longer hang on the fact that someone beat me, I look at what they did to beat me and I strengthen it. Then I look at their weaknesses and study them and expose them the next time we face each other. I used to have back up here in AW, any time I needed help I had people that would come to my defense. However, I quickly learned that I never needed them in the first place. I've gone from a Made Man to a Marked man, and that is perfectly fine by me. I've watched enough gangster movies to know what could happen."
Doc takes the robe beside him and wipes the sweat off of his face.
"The time has come for me to finally fight someone who used to be my partner in crime. Someone who caused just as much destruction, chaos, and mayhem. That's right good ol' Jessie Lee. The true definition of a top tier mid carder, am I right? Let's be honest what has she accomplished in AW other than a couple title reigns that lasted no longer than the blink of an eye? The best part of her career thus far has been being along for the ride known as Tailor Made For Greatness. The only time she was truly great was when she was alongside me, other than that just a mid career for a mid woman. You would think that she would have done something while she was in Tailor Made with me, but it just resulted in a short reign with the US title and then failure to reclaim that title after she lost it to Sitcom. My star rose and hers only maintained due to the fact that she was alongside me. I quickly realized that I didn't need Jessie Lee and I sure as hell didn't need Thad, but he's another story for another time. Jessie is who I'm focused on now."
Doc sits back in the sauna and collects his thoughts for a moment.
"It never had to be like this Jessie, you chose your fate when you decided to attack me as my back was turned. You could have walked away from all this and not had to suffer the consequences of your actions. You will continue to suffer these consequences as long as you associate yourself with that soul sucking asshole. It is my goal now to bring Tailor Made to its knees and it starts with you Jessie. The good little soldier that you are, doing all of Thad's bidding. I'm sure he has his plans to make me suffer for my betrayal, however unlike the both of you, I got myself into this mess and I will get myself out. I made my move, because I knew I could handle myself in the situation, but Jessie I don't think you're equipped to handle things on your own. So remind yourself who you're fucking with on Monday. I'm a hell of a lot tougher than your latest run of the mill opponents and that includes that fucking giant slob known as Sitcom! I take people to their limits and guess what Jessie I know your limits, they're not what you think they are. You are no Downfall and you certainly are not Odin Balfore. Check the tape! These men second were taken to the limit and they are the toughest wrestlers that Action Wrestling has to offer. I could sit here and break down your flaws all day Jessie, but the simple fact of the matter is the whole world can see them every time that you are on camera. At Clash, you can bring your little friend Thad and make sure he can witness the whole massacre that's about to unfold. You were once my comrade Jessie, but now...THIS IS WAR!!!"
