DRAUGR vs. Doc Holiday(c)
Adilene Floyd: The following is scheduled for ONE FALL, and it is for the AW Television Championship!! Introducing first...
The lights flicker throughout the arena before going to darkness, and "Become Immortal" by Kreator fills the void. Red light emits from the heavens and hell, as smoke fills the stage. Dr. Erik Konnors walks out onto the stage, dressed to the nines, with a smug look on his face. Moments later, he is seconded by the strongest of the strong, DRAUGR.
Adilene Floyd: Making his way to the ring at this time... being accompanied by his handler Dr. Erik Konnors... weighing in at one hundred and twenty-five kilometers... he... is... DRAUGR!
An uneasy wave of emotions overcomes the fans in attendance as DRAUGR stands motionless in front of the ring, being given orders by Dr. Konnors. DRAUGR nods his head and vertical leaps to the ring apron, then effortlessly steps over the top rope. He calmly steps to the center of the ring and stands motionless, ready for the action to begin.
Chris Avery: DRAUGR has really burst on the scene here in AW, and he left a huge impression on the rest of the field in the Terry Funk Invitational at XIII. He's going to be a hell of an obstacle for the reigning Television champ.
Billy: Hey, uh, does anyone wanna tell the lady holding the cue cards that a kilometer is a measurement of distance, and that a kilogram is what measures weight, or - No? Nobody?
Adilene Floyd: And his opponent...
The arena goes dark as the familiar voice of 2Pac interrupts the darkness
"I won't deny it,
I'm a straight ridah,
You don't wanna fuck with me"
Adilene Floyd: Weighing in at 215 lbs... representing TAILOR MADE FOR GREATNESS... HE IS THE REIGNING, DEFENDING ACTION WRESTLING TELEVISION CHAMPION... DOC HOLIDAY!!
A spotlight shines on Doc Holiday as he stands at the top of the entrance ramp, hood up on his black AW wrestling sweat shirt. His head slowly bobs to the music as he walks to the ring looking very focused on the task at hand. Fans reach out to touch him, but he ignores them as he walks to the ring stopping short of the ring apron, pausing for a moment jumps straight onto the ring apron and slides the the middle rope, going to the center of the ring where he embraces the boo's from the crowd with a sly smirk and his arms out.
Chris Avery: Holiday is coming in banged up after a hellacious, violent double coffin match against Gravedigger and Downfall at XIII, and he is definitely looking to right the ship and get back on the winning track. He's been a fighting champion here and really revitalized the TV division!
The bell rings. Draugr calls for a tie-up, and as they go for a collar-elbow Draugr clearly begins overpowering Holiday and shoving him downwards, forcing him back. Finally, Draugr throws Holiday halfway across the ring. Holiday looks at the referee, who is just as goggle eyed as he is, and Draugr flexes his arms and lets out a roar. Doc composes himself, his upper lip noticeably a bit sweaty. But he gets back to his feet. Draugr holds his hands out again for a tieup, but Holiday slips away under his arms and begins lighting Draugr's legs up with kicks. He sweeps around his side and kicks his in the hamstring several times. Finally, though, Draugr catches Holiday's leg, puts his hand on his chest and throws him down to the mat with force. Holiday quickly gets to his feet, and Draugr whips him to the ropes and on the return drops him with a back body drop. Holiday gets to his feet and takes a discus clothesline, then as he gets back up he is hit with a back elbow. Holiday gets to his feet holding his back and Draugr lifts him up with a military press, and he drops him face first on the canvas. Holiday gets to his feet one more time. Draugr runs at him for a clothesline, but Holiday ducks under it and begins firing away with forearm shots to the face, and mixing in a few straight kicks to the midesction. He walks Draugr over to the turnbuckle and goes to slam his face into it, but Draugr overpowers him and elbows him off. Holiday backs off, holding his face, and Draugr explodes out of the corner with a clothesline.
Chris Avery: Oh! What power by Draugr!
Billy: I am terrified right now, we don't know anything about this guy other than the fact that he's as solidly built as a refrigerator and as cold blooded as an iguana!
Chris Avery: ...An iguana?
Billy: Have you ever held one of those things? Naught but malice and hunger for flies behind those eyes!!
Draugr lifts Holiday up by the head and goes to irish whip him to the ropes, but on the return he slides under his legs behind his, then as Draugr turns around Holiday trips his with a drop toehold before floating into an illegal turtling position and begins unloading punches into the back of his head. The ref tells Holiday about the closed fists, and he respectfully backs off. Holiday lifts Draugr up a little and gives his a knee lift. He grips his head and starts giving his a few mounted punches, then he applies a rear chinlock. Draugr flails his arms, as Holiday tightens the hold. Draugr uses all his strength to push Holiday over towards the ropes, but Holiday keeps the chinlock applied. Draugr tries to fight to his feet. Holiday shakes his head, saying he should give up, and twists his neck. Draugr slowly fights to his feet as he grips Holiday's legs and lifts him up on his back, and with a burst of strength he runs backwards and squashes Holiday into the corner. He does this again, squashing Holiday behind his in the corner, and finally Holiday loosens the hold. Draugr hangs on, paces forward a few steps, and then comes in with a lot of velocity to crush Holiday in the corner. Holiday comes staggering out, and Draugr irish whips him with force into the opposite corner. When he comes staggering out, holding his back, Draugr drops him with a big sidewalk slam. Draugr keeps an arm draped over Holiday for the pin.
Chris Avery: Oooh, he’s flatter than IHOP’s specialty.
Billy: Inferiority to Waffle House and shitty service?
The referee: One... Kickout.
Draugr lifts Holiday up and lays him across the ropes, and he gives him a big open-handed slap across the chest, drawing a "WHOOOO!" from the crowd. Holiday screams and jumps and holds his chest in pain. Draugr throws Holiday into the corner, and gives him anothis big overhand slap, and Holiday staggers out, holding his chest in pain. Draugr whips him into the opposite corner, and he comes running at him, looking for a big corner clothesline. Holiday flings his elbow out and nails Draugr. Draugr staggers back to the middle of the ring. Holiday runs at his, but he is caught by a big powerslam from Draugr. Draugr holds on for the pin.
Chris Avery: Holiday can't keep any separation, this guy is relentless!
The referee: One...
Two... Kickout.
Draugr stares at the referee, frustrated. Draugr motions for Holiday to get up, and as he gets up, still doubled over he runs off the ropes. However, he attempts a running knee lift and he spins away at the last second and counters into a swinging reverse neckbreaker. Holiday goes for a cover now.
The referee: One…
Two... Kickout.
Holiday waits for Draugr to get up and blasts him with a jawbreaker, making the big man stumble back woozily. Holiday, trying to quicken the pace a little, runs off the ropes and takes Draugr by surprise with a flying wheel kick. Draugr falls to his back and Holiday doesn't waste a second's momentum. He drops a leg across his throat before going for another cover.
The referee: One…
Two… Draugr furiously kicks out.
Chris Avery: Draugr has a look in his eye like someone who has been buzzed by a very persistent fly.
Holiday lifts Draugr up, but he is cut off by a headbutt. Draugr yanks Holiday over to the ropes and begins choking him violently on the middle. The referee says "You know you can't do that!" Silly wrestler. So, he starts counting Draugr for disqualification, and Draugr, in his turn as an aggressive asshat pretends to ignore the ref until the count of four. Finally Draugr releases. Holiday is trying to get some air into his lungs. Draugr lifts him up and plants him with a torture rack flapjack. Draugr takes his time, pacing to the opposite side of the ring, taking his time, Draugr hoists him up again and Holiday begins to slowly fight back. He lands punch after punch, making Draugr stumble off. He runs off the ropes, hitting the bigger man with a shoulder block that knocks Draugr back a bit, but does not knock him off his feet. Draugr roars again, and charges at Holiday, but Holiday smartly side steps, and pulls down the top rope, and Draugr goes spilling over the top rope to the outside!
Chris Avery: Holiday is thinking fast on his feet, using everything at his disposal!
As he walks out, he lifts Draugr up and bounces his head off the apron. Holiday walks Draugr down the aisle by the back of the head, and goes to bounce his head off the steel steps. Draugr straightens his arms and blocks, then he elbows Holiday in the gut and flings him across the steel steps. Holiday pulls himself back up, and Draugr gives him a few right hands. He knees Holiday in the midsection and gives him a Russian legsweep into the guardrail. The official tells both men to get in the ring. Draugr runs a thumb across his throat, lifts Holiday up and hooks him between his legs. He goes to give the champ a piledriver on the concrete. However, Holiday gives the big man a backdrop, and Draugr hits the concrete floor and rolls around, holding his back. Holiday starts climbing onto the apron. Draugr sits up, holding his back, and then Holiday runs across the apron and flies off, coming down into the aisle with a two-footed dropkick to the chest of the seated Draugr. The crowd lets out an "OOOOOH" at this flashy move!
Chris Avery: I think Holiday just caved in the big man's chest cavity!
Billy: Does he measure that level of ouch in liters or grams??
Holiday takes a second to recover, and then he steps to his feet. He turns his head to spot Dr. Konners, who is anxiously leaning around to check on his client. Holiday spooks the manager enough to scurry off, then he turns his attention back to Draugr, trying to lift the bulky heavyweight, and rolling him under the ropes, and sliding in, he lays Draugr throat first on the bottom rope and steps on his shoulders, then pulls on the top rope to choke Draugr! Draugr flails his arms as Holiday heels it up for the crowd, choking Draugr and pulling back on the ropes, drawing loud boo's from the crowd. Holiday steps down, and Draugr rolls out of the ropes, gasping and trying to get some air back in his lungs. The referee admonishes Holiday, but Holiday blows past him as he opens up with right hands before delivering a knee trembler while Draugr is on all fours which turns the big man over and sends him flopping to his back. Holiday floats over into the cover.
The referee: One...
Two... Kickout.
Draugr kicks out to a roar from the crowd. Holiday quickly locks in a rear chin lock as he drives his knee into the spine of Draugr while cranking back on his chin and neck. The referee asks Draugr to surrender, he refuses. Holiday cranks back on the chin and neck as the referee asks Draugr again to surrender. Draugr refuses before starting to work his way back to his feet which draws a solid ovation from the crowd. Draugr turns into the chin lock before delivering a side suplex breaking the hold. The crowd rallies behind Draugr as he starts to work his way back to a vertical base where he reaches down picking Holiday up off the mat. Draugr delivers a stiff kick to the right quad before snaking a knee to the midsection doubling Holiday over. Draugr takes a side waist lock before delivering a gut wrench sit out powerbomb! The crowd roars as Draugr makes the cover on Holiday!
Chris Avery: DRAUGR showing his amazing levels of power!
Holiday shoots a shoulder off the mat to a gasp from the crowd. Draugr is the first to his feet where he reaches down picking Holiday up off the mat. Draugr takes Holiday back into a neutral corner where he drills Holiday with a shoulder block to the midsection. Draugr delivers a European uppercut to Holiday before sending him sailing across the ring and into the opposite buckles. Draugr charges in after Holiday where he eats a reverse elbow to the jaw that staggers Draugr back out towards the middle of the ring. Holiday steps up to the middle turnbuckle where he leaps off delivering a blockbuster to Draugr. Holiday quickly makes the cover hooking the nearest leg.
The referee: One...
Two... Kickout.
Holiday starts working his way back to a vertical base where he takes the right leg of Draugr, Holiday twists around the knee before picking up the other leg where he locks in a figure four leg lock. Holiday cranks back on the figure four as the referee asks Draugr to surrender. Draugr refuses. Holiday is close enough to the ropes to reach out and latch on to the middle rope applying more pressure. Draugr screams out in pain as the referee is once again asking him to surrender. The crowd boo's loudly as Holiday releases the ropes before the referee catches him in the act. The referee asks Draugr to give up, but he refuses. Holiday relinquishes the hold. Not a submission expert, but his intent wasn't to get a tap out as much as it was to do damage. Holiday reaches down picking the right leg of Draugr up off the mat before stomping away at the knee cap. The crowd roars with boo's Holiday assaults the right knee of Draugr with stomps, but suddenly Draugr rolls him into an inside cradle.
The referee: One...
Two... Kickout.
Chris Avery: Holiday nearly got caught there!
Billy: Holiday needs to get his head in the game! Is he still composing his next rant about whatever Downfall is doing??
Holiday beats Draugr to his feet where he charges towards him looking for a clothesline only to be met by an STO from Draugr! Draugr makes a quick cover hooking the near leg.
The referee: One...
Two... Kickout.
Fast and furious, Holiday kicks out and the action continues. Draugr reaches his feet with a noticeable limp. He kicks his right leg and knee before making his way to Holiday. A relentless Draugr then grips Holiday's legs and applies a Boston crab. Holiday contorts in pain yet still, shakes his finger no, he won't tap out, too much pride, and he reaches his arms for the ropes, as the big man settles back on the hold, not letting him go anywhere. Holiday groans a little as he reaches for the bottom rope. Draugr won't let him crawl anywhere. Using all of his strength Holiday begins to inch towards the ropes, but as soon as he gets within a fingertip distance, Draugr walks him back into the middle of the ring and sits back on the hold. Holiday covers his head in his hands. But he sternly shakes his head. Finally, Holiday begins to crawl towards the ropes again, and stretching as far as he can, he grips the bottom rope. The referee makes Draugr release the hold. Holiday wraps around the bottom rope with all his might to insure safety, as the ref comes between the two men until Holiday gets out of the ropes. Draugr backs up, holding his hands up in supplication as he says, "Okay, okay" to the ref, who is telling him to stand back, and Holiday gets back in the ring. Draugr comes forward, but Holiday boots him in the gut when he isn't prepared. Holiday goes for an arm twist into a Savate kick, but in one smooth motion Draugr pulls his wrist free, turns Holiday to face him and SMASHES him with a scoop lift into an over-shoulder belly to belly piledriver!
Chris Avery: And Holiday has Draugr set up for - NO! Eispickel Piledriver!!
The referee: One...
Two...
Three - Kickout!
Now it's Draugr's turn to show remorselessness and heelish tendencies as he grabs Holiday by the hand and drags him to a corner, throwing him in to a seated position and firing off a storm of right hands and boots stomping a mudhole in him until he is fervently beating down Holiday in the corner. The referee tries to intervene, telling Draugr to get his opponent out of the corner. Draugr refuses, and places several more furious punches down on his opponent's head. The referee starts counting, two, three, and Draugr snarls at him, but breaks on four, four and a half. Draugr gets to his feet and starts yelling at the referee, telling him to mind his business. Then Draugr turns around, but doesn't see Holiday in the exact spot he left him, which is because Holiday has slithered into position behind him and then, the wily Holiday rolls him into a schoolboy.
Chris Avery: HOLIDAY MAY STEAL ONE!!
The referee: One...
Two...
Three - Kickout!!

Chris Avery: Who took the worst from that because neither man seem to be moving.
Billy: I don't know, but they hit like a comet coming to earth!
Several long moments pass, and the referee is checking on both men, as they're starting to crawl and gingerly push themselves up on their elbows. The referee is counting them both out. 1... 2... 3... 4... 5.... 6... Draugr starts pushing himself up to all fours... 7... Holiday pulls himself up on one knee... 8...
