Last week on Clash, we witnessed an absolute mind-boggling turn of events that left us speechless. Raging Dead and Der Metzger, who were supposedly dead and buried, made a shocking return to the ring. It's hard to put into words just how insane and batshit crazy this whole situation is. How did these two resurrected souls end up in a Tag Team Title match with Lissie and Serenity, and the Ban Bros at Guts/Glory in two weeks? The whole thing seems to be connected to some obscure Claire Hawkins book and some dark lord magic. It's mind-boggling, to say the least.
But let's move on to the in-ring action. Niobe Martin, the "Living Nightmare," took on Tatiana Jolee in what turned out to be a thrilling encounter. Martin narrowly lost to Jonny Cedrone last week, but she had another opportunity to impress this week. Jolee, the number one contender for Uprising, proved to be a formidable opponent. The match was fast-paced and intense, with both competitors giving it their all.
Niobe showcased her high-flying abilities and nearly secured a quick victory with some impressive moves. However, Jolee's technical wrestling skills and submission holds kept her in the game. The back-and-forth nature of the match kept the crowd on the edge of their seats. Both wrestlers displayed great resilience, kicking out of near falls and countering each other's moves.
In the end, Tatiana Jolee managed to apply her signature submission hold, the Sharpshooter, on Niobe Martin. Despite Martin's valiant effort to escape, she eventually tapped out, granting Jolee the victory. The crowd erupted in applause for both competitors, recognizing the incredible effort they put forth.
Next up, we had the United States Champion, Jessie Lee, gracing us with her presence. Lee, with her fierce demeanor and confident swagger, addressed the upcoming Glory tournament and her match against Sitcom. She made it clear that she is determined to add the TV Championship to her collection and expressed her disdain for Sitcom's scripted antics. Lee's fiery promo added an extra layer of excitement to their impending clash.
Following the promo, we witnessed a clash of styles as Cipher took on Max Daemon. Cipher's technical prowess clashed with Daemon's high-flying daredevilry. The match was a rollercoaster of athleticism and skill, with both competitors showcasing their unique abilities. Cipher's calculated approach and submission holds were met with Max Daemon's acrobatics and lightning-fast strikes.
The match reached its climax when Cipher executed a breathtaking senton bomb, only to be interrupted by Max Daemon's henchman, Holo Make. The interference led to a disqualification, leaving Cipher battered and bruised. The unsportsmanlike conduct displayed by Max Daemon and Holo Make left a sour taste in the crowd's mouth.
Raja, the self-appointed Royal Prince of Tripura, struts around like he owns the place, but his arrogance is as unbearable as a three-hour headlock. Someone needs to remind him that actions speak louder than poorly-delivered promos.
Speaking of promos, Jill Park and Carter Shaw's backstage encounter was as heated as a Texas barbeque. Jill's disdain for Shaw is as palpable as the stench of a sweaty wrestling singlet, while Shaw tries to convince us that he respects her. Respect, huh? It's about as genuine as a steel chair shot in a scripted match. I smell mind games, and it's hard to tell who's playing who in this convoluted saga.
In the ring, Frank Patrick Venable and Joule Ortiz put on a decent showing in the opening round of the Glory Tournament. FPV's brute strength was on full display, but Joule's resilience gave him a run for his money. It's a shame Joule couldn't secure the win, but at least FPV can add another victory to his "Mr. Every Title" campaign. Let's hope the tournament gets more exciting because this match left me as lukewarm as a reheated pizza
Alexander Pasternak was caught in a state of bewilderment, searching for answers regarding the resurrection of Raging Dead and Der Metzger. It was a bizarre turn of events, even for the wild world of professional wrestling. Pasternak's disbelief was palpable as he tried to make sense of the situation. But hey, when the undead start rising, who can blame the man for being at a loss for words?
Now let's talk about the match between Jonny Cedrone and Dionysus in the Glory Tournament. Cedrone came out with a new dark persona, complete with black attire and brooding intensity. But looks can only get you so far, and Cedrone learned that the hard way.
Both competitors gave it their all, showcasing their skills and determination. Cedrone resorted to some dirty tactics, but Dionysus fought back with his strength and agility. It was a back-and-forth affair, with near falls and high-risk maneuvers.
In the end, Dionysus emerged victorious, hitting Cedrone with the Grapevine. Dionysus showed impressive resilience and advanced to the next round of the tournament.
Next week, Dionysus will face off against Frank Patrick Venable, setting the stage for another intense clash between two former WCF Champions. The stakes are high, as the winner will secure a spot in the finals of the Glory Tournament.
Cedrone, fresh off his loss to Dionysus, was clearly still fuming, and Gloria tried to console him. But their moment of frustration was interrupted by none other than Downfall, sitting casually and mocking Cedrone with a slow clap. Downfall wasted no time in taunting Cedrone, criticizing his efforts and suggesting that he didn't go far enough in his transformation. Cedrone, not one to back down, confronted Downfall, but the encounter ended with Cedrone cursing under his breath as Downfall smirked and walked away. Classic backstage drama, am I right?
Next up, we had a cinematic scene featuring Raging Dead and Der Metzger wreaking havoc in a diner. These two unleashed their fury on innocent bystanders, throwing people through windows, setting the place on fire, and leaving a trail of destruction behind them. It was a brutal and chaotic scene, showcasing the dark and sadistic nature of Raging Dead and Der Metzger. Definitely not your typical diner experience.
And now, let's talk about the main event between Raja and Ellie Austin for the CBS Championship. The match was reaching its climax when things took a controversial turn. Raja, sensing an opportunity, grabbed the CBS Championship and tried to use it as a weapon against Austin. However, Austin ducked the attack and countered with a devastating clothesline, knocking Raja down. Seizing the moment, Austin climbed to the top rope and delivered a flying splash. But just as it seemed like Austin was about to secure the victory, Raja cunningly smashed her face into the championship belt, which was still lying in the ring. Raja quickly capitalized, pinning Austin and stealing the victory to become the new CBS Champion, much to the dismay of the crowd.
However, the celebration was short-lived as another official intervened, pointing out Raja's use of the championship as a weapon. The decision was reversed, and Raja's victory was nullified. But before anyone could process what had just happened, Big Tyme Jimmy Jackson made a shocking return, attacking both Raja and Austin. Jackson unleashed his devastating finisher, the Curtain Call, on both competitors, leaving them down and out.
In a twist of fate, it appeared that Ellie Austin retained her CBS Championship due to the disqualification, but the chaos caused by Jimmy Jackson left everyone in disbelief. The night ended with more questions than answers, and the crowd was left in a state of shock and confusion.
But hold on, there's more! In a surprising turn of events, the World Champion, Jill Park, made her way to the ring. However, instead of her usual confident and composed demeanor, Park seemed agitated and confrontational. She expressed her skepticism towards Carter Shaw's intentions and dismissed his offer of a gift. Park emphasized her own accomplishments and the strength of her reign as the World Champion, refusing to entertain Shaw's attempts to provoke her.
However, Shaw persisted and insisted that his respect for Park was genuine. He spoke about the challenges they both faced and the loneliness that comes with being at the top. He presented Park with a gift, urging her to accept it as a symbol of his respect. Reluctantly, Park opened the gift, only to find Shaw waiting on the other side. He immediately launched a brutal attack on Park, pummeling her with punches and leaving her battered and bloodied. Shaw's assault was intense, and he made a statement by targeting Park's ankle, possibly seeking revenge for a past injury.
The crowd was electrified by Shaw's unexpected aggression, and the shockwaves of his actions reverberated throughout the arena. It was a disturbing and intense moment that left Park in a vulnerable state and raised serious doubts about her ability to retain her title against Shaw at the upcoming Guts/Glory event.
And that, my friends, is how the night unfolded in the world of professional wrestling. Unpredictable, dramatic, and filled with twists and turns. Buckle up, because the road to Guts/Glory just got a whole lot more intense.
