Joule can be seen sitting against the wall of a courthouse. She clearly looks frustrated about something, possibly even mentally exhausted, but she does her best to keep a poker face, wiping her hands through it, before cracking her neck and knuckles, and giving out a heavy sigh.
I’m very proud of my win last week. I told Holo that his size advantage and over dependence on his faith would only get him so far, and of course, my words rang true. So now I’ve won my debut and am immediately granted a slot in the main event of Clash in a triple threat match. I knew what I signed up for. I’m not surprised that both of my opponents are far larger than me. I live for this. I love being the least likely to win on paper, just to shock the world and come out on top. In fact, it was during Havoc that Dionysus was outclassed by someone half his size. Lissie Hope took him right out and ended up winning the whole thing.
Dionysus has been doing this for a while. Even though WCF kicked the bucket, he still keeps chugging along and does his best to carry out any semblance of a career that he can. Now, I’m not going to sit here and act as if Dion has no talent, or try to say that he isn’t a capable wrestler, because that would be ridiculous. However, it’s becoming clear that his best days may very well be behind him. When was the last time he won a title in Action Wrestling? It was a tag reign as well, and that isn’t to say that there’s anything wrong with being a tag team wrestler, but he clearly isn’t anymore, and without Downfall, who’s clearly still doing well as the Hardcore Champion, it’s becoming a bit plain to see who the better man of that group was.
See, Dionysus has to go to lesser companies to win a title. He hasn’t been getting the job here, so he’s found any way possible to keep himself relevant. Maybe it’s time he takes a break, pushes himself aside for a bit, and lets the newer talent shine like we’re meant to. Gods only know he won’t for much longer, with the way he’s been going. I’ll be sure to make your loss as quick and painless as I possibly can, Dion. If you need a break after this, I won’t blame you. At least you’re not claiming to be the greatest of all time while relying on your odd abundance of fragile guitars to do the dirty work.
While I have respect for Dionysus, I can’t really say the same for Billy Ray Cash. Afterall, this is the same guy that lugs around an unofficial title, while losing an actual title opportunity to someone that isn’t even in the match he’s booked for. Can you really be proud of yourself after that, Cash? Is this what you’re willing to be known for? You couldn’t even defend your title on Chaos without the match getting thrown out. Until you can prove otherwise, all I can see you as is a paper champion that’s all talk and no bark.
I can promise both of you that, although you may not see me as a threat, after I’m done with the both of you come Monday, that changes. I already made my presence known when I took out Holo Make last week. That was just the beginning. Action Wrestling isn’t ready for me, and that goes for you two as well. The Paragon has arrived, and I’ll be reaping the benefits of your mistakes.
She stands up and pushes herself off of the wall, giving her face a bit of a shake before walking off.

It’s the next day, and Joule is just waking up in her room, not exactly ready for the day yet, before getting a call on her phone. She quickly sits up and answers, and there’s someone immediately yelling through on the other side.
Joule: No, I have no idea what you’re… well, I can tell you that after you brought up… fine. Believe what you want. I’m not doing this with you. Especially not if Quinn is there.
The person on the other line hangs up, and Joule tries to keep her emotions in check, before a knock is heard.
Joule: You can come in.
Joule’s brother, Isaac, a Hispanic male comes into the room, looking a bit concerned. He's about 5'8", and just slightly chubby, with short hair and a beard.
Isaac: Everything okay?
She shakes her head and looks up at the ceiling with a sarcastic smile.
Joule: While I’d love to sit here and tell you that I’m fine, you already know that’s bullshit. No, Mauve called me again to yell at me about shit I had nothing to do with. I didn’t even know about whatever it was until they brought it up.
Isaac: Again? Can’t they just leave you alone for a day?
Joule: Well, I guess they got fired from their job or something, I dunno. They’re trying to say I called their job to make it happen so they look incompetent in court, as if I would need or want to do that.
Isaac: Seriously? Are they that desperate to make everything your fault?
Joule shrugs and wipes at her face before tears could try and fall.
Joule: I don’t get it either. They already have my kid with them, so I’m not sure what more they want from me. We’re already going to be in court for divorce and custody. I’ve done all I could to try and remain peaceful. I even helped out with shit I didn’t have to do or pay for. It’s never enough. I’m still the bad guy.
She sighs and grabs a picture of her and her son from the nightstand.
Joule: She’s so busy trying to make this about me vs Mauve, when all I want is for Quinn to have the best life he possibly can. He can’t have that if the two of us are constantly at each other’s throats, and they don’t get that.
Isaac: When this whole thing blows up in their face, maybe they’ll finally see it.
Joule: Maybe… but either way this goes, I doubt it’ll change how they view it. They’re too damn stubborn.
Isaac scratches at his beard, clearly not wanting to talk about the subject anymore.
Isaac: So uhh… I watched your match.
Joule raises an eyebrow at him.
Joule: What? You never watch wrestling, not even if I’m involved.
Isaac: Yeah, well… you said it was important to you, so I wanted to check it out. The names of your moves are really dumb, but they look pretty good.
He finally gets a laugh out of her.
Joule: They’re supposed to be a bit goofy. I gotta throw my gay humor somewhere.
Isaac: Aren’t you worried people are going to think you’re forcing the LGBT stuff down their throats?
She scoffs at the question and rolls her eyes.
Joule: Yeah, because I haven’t been fed cis straight media all my life. People can cry and whine about what I do all they want. I know there’s people that look up to me, and if I can be a positive role model for anyone that isn’t sure about who they are, or if they can make it in the world, then I’m doing my job right.
Isaac nods and starts to turn to the door.
Isaac: Yeah, I get that. Anyway, mami has food cooking downstairs. It’s rice and eggs again. You might want to head down there before she bothers you.
Joule takes a stretch before getting up, still in her nightgown and shorts.
Joule: Yeah, yeah. I know the drill. Same as always. Good thing I’m in AW now, so I can move out soon.
Isaac: Yeah, ‘cause that worked so well for you last time.
Joule: Hey, that’s because I was in a shitty marriage. Like I said before, never again.
Isaac: We’ll see.
He walks away and heads downstairs, with Joule lightheartedly bickering behind him, following him down so they can eat their breakfast.
