Biography Henry Leo Alexander Lancaster, 20th Marquess of Wessex (born 11th August 1987), styled Lord Henry Lancaster between 1987 and 2015 and Viscount Kingsbridge between 2015 and 2022, is a British nobleman, businessman and professional wrestler, and the second son and child of William Lancaster, 19th Marquess of Wessex, and his wife, Kaitlyn Montague. Born in Kingsbridge (commonly known as The Kings City), Henry was initially educated at Greatwood Primary School, a village school near the family estate of Aethelstan, in Wessex. After only two years, he was sent away to the prestigious boarding school, Saint George’s Academy. Henry finished his education at the University of Oxford, where he obtained a master’s degree in business studies. Throughout his time at Saint George’s, Henry was known to be a high-level athlete, excelling in rugby, for which he was scouted extensively by England Rugby. However, Henry shunned an opportunity to sign for the England Academy in favour of pursuing combat sports, much to his father’s displeasure. After graduating from Oxford, Henry embarked on his own career away from his family, becoming a ruthless businessman in his own right within both financial services and real estate. Through his growing reputation of ruthlessness in the business world, his family’s financial and social position and the use of a lion within the Marquess of Wessex’s coat of arms; his peers began referring to Henry as “The Golden Lion”. A marquess is a nobleman of high hereditary rank in Great Britain. The second most senior rank in British peerage; the title ranks below a duke (reserved only for The Royal Family) and above an earl, count and baron. There are currently thirty-six marquessates in Great Britain; the oldest and wealthiest being the Marquess of Wessex. Presiding over the historical region of Wessex, located in the south of England; the Marquess of Wessex is one of the wealthiest men in Great Britain and inherits an extensive property portfolio including the family seat, Aethelstan. Being the second son of William Lancaster, 19th Marquess of Wessex, Henry was not the heir apparent to his father’s title and estate. That honour was bestowed upon his older brother Thomas, who upon his birth, was given the title Viscount Kingsbridge in recognition of his planned ascendancy to the 20th Marquess of Wessex upon his father’s death. The two brothers were not close growing up, mainly due to Henry’s jealousy towards his kind-natured brother’s birthright. In 2015, Thomas Lancaster, Viscount Kingsbridge was tragically killed in a car accident whilst undertaking family business in the south of France. Upon his brother's death, and now the heir apparent to his father; Henry became the new Viscount Kingsbridge. Following a short illness in 2022, William Lancaster, 19th Marquess of Wessex, died at The Aethestan Estate, and Henry succeeded him as the 20th Marquess of Wessex, inheriting his family's wealth and estate. Having become increasingly frustrated over the last decade with both his father and brother’s joint wishes to “squander” the family’s fortune for charitable purposes; Henry has vowed to undo their legacies by reaffirming his family's position as the oldest and most powerful marquessate in Great Britain. Henry continued to obsessively pursue combat sports throughout his adult life, some believing to embarrass his father. Henry has made the controversial decision to sign for Action Wrestling, the world's premier professional wrestling company to showcase his talents, believing that power is obtained through violence, the same way his family came to power nearly 500 years ago. |

Entrance Entrance Music: “O Fortuna” remix by Hidden Citizens The powerful orchestral beginning of “O Fortuna” drowns out the noise of the crowd, their attention is immediately drawn to the stage before the whole arena falls into darkness. Slowly; the Marquess of Wessex’s coat of arms appears across the ActionTron. Following a small pause in the music; flashing lights, a combination of both gold and red, illuminate the entranceway in time with the drum beat, revealing Henry Lancaster standing alone, dressed in his elaborate robe. The music continues with the 20th Marquess of Wessex’s steely gaze set firmly on the ring. For a moment he looks from his right to his left, with a look of disdain for the crowd etched on his face, before returning his sights to the ring. Beginning his confident march down the ramp towards the ring, the crowd’s boos are silenced by the powerful drums of the classical masterpiece, the flashing gold and red lights spreading from the entranceway throughout the rest of the arena highlighting Lancaster's path. Adilene Floyd: Hailing from his family seat, The Aethestan Estate, located in the historical, almighty region of Wessex … standing at one hundred and ninety-three centimetres and weighing in tonight at an impressive one hundred and sixteen kilograms… he is THEE GOLDEN LION!… a current Lord of Great Britain… stand and show your respects for … HENRY LANCASTER!!… THEE TWENTIETH MARQUESS OF WESSEX!!! Lancaster fails to acknowledge the crowd’s reaction; instead, he continues his march and veers right at the bottom of the ramp, pulling himself up onto the apron, facing the hard camera. He slowly unbuttons his robe and drops it to the floor, revealing his chiselled physique. As the powerful chorus again echoes throughout the arena, the flashing lights are replaced by an intense bright white spotlight, focused solely on the 20th Marquess of Wessex who flexes his arms, showcasing his athletic ability and dominance. His face finally shows some emotion; a small smirk into the camera. He finally turns and climbs through the ropes as the flashing lights return once more, walking over to the far right turnbuckle. Ascending to the second rope, Lancaster pauses for a moment as takes time to observe the crowds hostility towards him before again flexing, shouting expletives towards the “lesser beings” surrounding him. Jumping down from the turnbuckle as the normal lighting returns to the arena; Lancaster begins to circle the ring, marking his territory. Finally, after being spoken to by the referee, Lancaster retreats to his corner where he begins to loosen up, pulling violently on the ropes. Once he is finally prepared for the match, the 20th Marquess of Wessex begins to pace back and forth ready for the fight ahead. |
