It's been a few months since y'all saw me before. Did ya miss me?
Last time AW saw the Brooklyngun I was oh so briefly holding those Cruiserweight Tag Titles high with my ride or die Jessie Lee. But that didn't last did it? And then ya boy walked off into the sunset. Took my ball and went home if you will.
Revo reopened. Revo reclosed. So I've been sitting at home twiddling my thumbs. Doing my best to keep the neighborhood afloat with what little I've got left.
So now it's time to get a lot more than that little. It's time to rebound from that spark of victory that faded into nothing. It's time to remind AW and the rest of the world why Jin Min-jun is king in any territory he steps in.
I've been in one of these Havoc matches before. Didn't quite go how I wanted, but it taught me a lot. I'm used to just running through opponent after opponent by kicking them til they can't get up. That won't work here. I've gotta play the game smarter than that. This can't be a war of attrition. I gotta take myself back to the streets. See on the streets...
It's about ducking and dodging. Avoiding the shots as best as you can. Some people call it cowardice.. I call it survival.
It's about knowing when to strike. Waiting til that perfect moment to go in for that killshot. Making sure that your opponents don't see it coming when you line up that perfect hit.
It's about being able to push through. There's no room to lick your wounds in a match like this. Can you rest? Sure. If the other five plus people in the ring forget that you're there. Unlikely though. You gotta rub dirt in that wound and move the fuck on.
That's what we do back in Brooklyn. We've constantly got people taking aim at us. Cops tryna "clean up the streets". Gangs tryna take some new territory. Gentrifiers tryna push the immigrants out so they can take over the land. We're dodging bullets of all kind.
We wait until the perfect opportunities. The right time to make a move on some money. We don't just take every risk that presents itself.
We grin and bear the weight of the world. Tears may stain our faces, but we keep marching. We don't have the luxury of stopping... of quitting.
That's what makes me so different from everyone else in this match. They were trained in dojos. They were trained in fancy wrestling schools. I was trained on broken gravel roads that no one gives a damn about. Roads I had to continue paving for people following my lead.
That's why I'm tougher... grittier... more perserverant than the rest of this field. While y'all were learning wrist locks I was learning how to break a knee cap in case I had to end a fight and get away. While y'all were working on dropkicks I was working on the best way to jump a guy bigger than me.
I've worked harder to get less. I've busted my ass for hand me downs while y'all got handouts.
No more hand me downs. No more leftovers. I'm not settling for second place anymore. My hard work goes towards reaching the crown and nothing less. When I enter the CruiserHavoc I'm not content with just "having a good showing". I'm not cool with being a "nice surprise". I am here to crack every skull I have to. I am coming to smash expectations... to shock the world... I am coming to prove that broken roads and journeys filled with hardship forged stronger kings than teachers and technique ever could.
Jin Min-jun has returned to Action Wrestling. The Brooklyngun is lining up all of his shots once again. I will not miss. AW I want you to know that when the Heart and Seoul of professional wrestling puts my crosshairs on you... I shoot to kill.
