Bryan Blaze takes a long drag of a cigarette as he’s walking down a long corridor. He finally takes a right, opening a door and entering. As the camera adjusts, we can see replicas of every Championship he has won throughout his 14 year wrestling career. He looks at each belt and each trophy until he comes to the final case. The plate in front of it reads “Action Wrestling Cruiserweight Championship”. Despite being a former 2-time Action Wrestling Cruiserweight Champion, the case is surprisingly empty.
Blaze begins speaking to the camera, as he turns around, tossing the cigarette to the floor.
“I said that I was here to save Canadian wrestling, as wrestling by and large. I was serious when I said this, and I still stick by my reasoning for showing up here in Action Wrestling. I showed that I belonged, as I was a 2-time Cruiserweight Champion within just a few months. I gave CruiserClash purpose. I made it must-see and I gave Teo Blaze one of the best rivalries that CruiserClash has ever seen.
But then I was cast away by Joey Bunga.
Bunga didn’t like me. He didn’t like The Heritage. Not what we stood for, not who we are.”
Blaze takes another moment to turn and look at the empty case.
“I will not apologize for anything I’ve done, in Action Wrestling or elsewhere. I will not apologize for being a patriotic Canadian. Nor will I apologize for putting Canadian wrestling first. I will apologize for one thing, and one thing only.
And that is staying away.”
Blaze once again looks into the camera. His look, his demeanour seems different. More genuine than perhaps the AW faithful have come to expect from him.
“Joey Bunga successfully embarrassed me. I was placed in a no-win situation when I defended MY Cruiserweight Championship against Teo Blaze, with HIS BEST FRIEND as the Special Guest Referee. I followed that up by LOSING to that fucking DORK Jenson.
So I left. I threw myself into overseeing The Heritage. I had hoped that under my tutelage, James Payne would become something better. That maybe he wasn’t just a useless sack of garbage. Unfortunately, I was wrong. The Heritage will return. It will far eclipse what it was before.
So if you thought this long preamble was me promising to be a better version of myself, you’re right. If you think it’s me turning into a soft little bitch, like our Cruiserweight Champion’s cringe-ass boyfriend, you’re dead wrong.
The past few months have showed me something, and that is that I am better than ALL OF THIS.
I do not deserve to be relegated because a whiny, bitch made General Manager doesn’t know how to handle his fucking talent. I am better than sitting back and watching CruiserClash turn into nothing more than the “Serenity Holmes saga”. Where we get to see Serenity struggle through the weight of her own mediocrity to, against all odds, have her father BUY HER A TITLE MATCH. My god, what a story. And this is who we should be falling over ourselves for? This is who is deserving of the prestigious title which she holds?
Fucking bullshit.
Not only am I better than this, CRUISERCLASH is better than this.
When I said I was here to save CruiserClash from itself, that was foolish. Let me be clear, for anyone who still hasn’t put two and two together by now. It was all bullshit. It is all bullshit. I am here for one thing. That is to reclaim MY throne. I should have never been FORCED to defend MY TITLE in such an unfair situation. I should have been given my rematch.
So I will take that out on ALL of the Cruiserweight roster. Whether it’s has-beens or flash in the pans like JC Keeton, or pathetic never-were’s like Karlie Nash. I will do whatever the hell it takes to reclaim MY THRONE as the Greatest Cruiserweight That Ever Lived.
I won’t return the Bryan Blaze that you remember. I am done with the games, I’m here for the gold.”
Blaze walks over to the empty case, and puts up a sign reading “Coming Soon”.
