Win or go home…
What a way to kick off a brand-new championship here in ACTION WRESTLING. Not only the strap, but two careers are on the line in the first act of this new division. The Purity Championship has fast become one of the hottest things in the business - so much so, that even people who aren’t a part of this company are lining up to challenge for it.
Enter: The Latina Wrestling Machine
Robyn Gonzalez
This apparent Martial Arts Expert, who is the master of all forms and variants. Student, teacher, guiding light for ALL who love to play football in their underwear - and obvious badass who doesn’t seem at all cliche… The stupid face paint and the obnoxious tweets are enough to earn a left swipe - the fact that she is playing in a sexist football league is just a little cherry on the top of the shit sundae.
But I digress… Robyn, hunny… Here’s the thing. I know you think you’re the most badass bitch in the business. And that you’re going to absolutely destroy me because I once called your form of martial arts the wrong thing on twitter. But you're deluded, baseless and quite frankly, a little daft. In fact, really the only thing you’ve had to hang your hat on for the past two weeks is a tweet.
I’ll admit that I haven’t exactly had the best year of my career in 2022. I’ve let myself down, I’ve fallen into the vicious circle of blaming others for my own shortcomings - and to be honest. I’ve lost more matches than I’ve won here in Action Wrestling. All of these things should give you a measure of confidence - after all, you’re about to fight somebody that tried to leave only a month ago in a match that could see her get her wish if she loses.
Although I’ve entertained the prospect of laying down and handing you my championship so I can finally get the hell out of this place. I also know that my ego, my pride and most of all - my prestige - won’t allow me to take such a cowardly action. I simply wouldn’t be able to live with myself knowing that I lost a match that is literally set to MY skill set, against a woman that plays football in her panties.
The woman I defeated to win the CBS Championship would walk circles around your punk ass. The man I beat for the Television Championship would squish you like a bug - even the lowliest AW superstar is ten-times the wrestler you are. Just because you have a black belt and wrestle in mud show armory matches doesn’t anoint you to greatness here. And the fact that they even gave you a championship opportunity is laughable.
Have you asked yourself why that might be? Is it because they know you’re the starting QB for a LFL team? Is it because I put LFL superstar Lissie Hope out of action two weeks ago and this in turn might draw interest from the fans? Was it because the LFL has sponsored CLASH so management would let you come in here to face me in the hopes of a little cross-brand media exposure?
It’s certainly not because you’ve earned it.
You’re nothing but a patsy. A woman who has been pushed into a match that is the essence of everything wrestling stands for. While I tout the fundamentals of Old School Wrestling - you brag about martial arts and football. While I’ve spent 23 years working my ass off to get here - blood sweat and tears… You just walk in the door and are handed the big opportunity.
I’ve WORKED - ENDURED - FOUGHT - and SURVIVED my first year in a federation that you’re going to be in and out of on your first day. I’ve put up with shit that would make a millennial like yourself rage quit in your first week - and like all of you spoiled little shits, you’re going to get your way before you can even earn a pink slip.
You’re no trailblazer - hell, you’re not even a full-time wrestler. Yet you assume you’re going to walk into an Old School Wrestling Match against somebody who has dedicated her LIFE to this sport - and come out with a win?
It’s easy to talk the talk… But if you walked a mile in my boots, you’d know what this business and championship means to me. And you’d understand that no matter how hard you try - no matter how much you fight and what you put me through… I’ll NEVER give up - I’ll NEVER surrender
“You ready?”
Ruby asked me with an enquiring gaze over the top of the glasses that dressed those big baby doll eyes.
“Never been more ready in my life”
I replied with a wink, adjusting the newly minted AW Purity Championship on my shoulder as we made our way out in front of the press room. The bright lights and the chatter of 100 or more people flooded the small backstage space here in the Vivint Arena. It was media day ahead of the Pure Cup IV and Monday Night Clash, after all. And as such, all of the AW Champions were set to face the reporters the day before the show.
I was ready… This was nothing new to me, and my confidence couldn’t be higher after putting one of AW’s megastars out of action in my last match. Yeah, I suffered my share of abuse in the win - my ribs were still a problem and my shoulder, though uninjured - was still a bit stiff after Lissie beat on me a fortnight ago. But I was healed up enough to not give away any issues as I strutted my ass out to the table, taking a seat next to my agent Ruby Goldhirsch.
“First of all”
Ruby tapped the mic to be sure it was working
“I’d like to formally introduce you all the brand-new Action Wrestling Purity Championship”
On que, I folded the straps behind the belt and set it on the table so the faceplate would be facing the barrage of cameras. It was a beautiful belt and cost me 40k to have commissioned - but it was worth the investment as the CBS Title was boring and needed to be offloaded as we already had a TV title
“We were initially going to come out here and take questions. But then decided that it wouldn’t be necessary. So instead of fielding the same old questions - we’re instead going to make a statement”
Ruby was taking charge of this press conference - as was planned as I sat back, adjusting my suit blazer and tie before folding my hands in my lap.
“First of all, we understand that Action Wrestling has yet to officially acknowledge the sovereignty of the Purity Championship. And while they continue to advertise the CBS Title on the website and the marquee - we would argue that if this wasn’t a real championship, then the Old School Wrestling Match wouldn’t be happening in the first place”
The only reason they had yet to acknowledge the new championship was because we were on CBS Television - and management are afraid to rock the boat. I knew, as everyone else did, that the Purity Championship and its concept was money. This was a unique title with unique rules that set Action Wrestling apart from our competitors.
“We feel that this industry as a whole has moved away from its roots. Wrestling has become more of a showbiz than a serious combat sport, and my client has taken it upon herself to put Wrestling back into Pro-Wrestling. To re-enlighten a whole new generation of fans on the traditional values of technical wrestling in the way it was always meant to be showcased.”
Damn right… No high-flying garbage.
No hardcore TRASH
No escaping the ring
No excessive rope breaks
And NO illegal moves
This was going to put everyone to the ultimate test.
To weed out the imitators in favor of the REAL wrestlers
“I know there is a niche of ‘smarks’ out there who have criticized the idea as outdated and claimed that this division would be a hindrance to Action Wrestling. And to you I say… Piss off”
I grinned at Ruby’s cadence
“The fact that everyone is so focused on the new division is a testament to its enduring interest. It offers variety and a glimpse into what professional wrestling is and should remain. We aren’t kicking off some fad for the sake of a few rating points - this is the beginning of a revolution. Our champion, Tatiana Jolee is not only the most experienced technical wrestler on the face of the planet. Not only is she a literal trailblazer for women in this sport. But she’s the face of this new revolution”
I smiled and folded my hands under my chin with that trademark pose as the cameras popped off.
“She is not only the Champion of PURE wrestling, but she’s the representative of an era that is about to be rejuvenated. And that starts on Clash when she defends against The Latina Wrestling Machine”
Lucha-go-fuck-yourself…
“Not only will she give our challenger a lesson in respect. Not only will she defend and RETAIN the Purity Championship like the fighting champion she is. But she’ll also retire the Judo-kicking Black Belt Chuck Norris wannabe Lucha bitch out of Action Wrestling for good”
“Hola, adios”
I said with a nod as Ruby glanced to me
“Thank you all for coming tonight. We look forward to speaking to you again in the post-match interview. In the meantime, make sure you tune in for Monday Night Clash and celebrate the start of a new era with us”
With that, we both stood. Everyone in the room clamored to ask questions, but we weren’t sticking around for that. Instead, I collected MY Championship as we made our way off stage and out of the conference room.

Well sensei Wrestling Machine - let me be the first to formally welcome you to ACTION WRESTLING…
By beating your ass and retiring you from ACTION WRESTLING on your first night.
Side note: We must nominate her for an AW award for shortest career of the year.
Or at the very least, most uninteresting cliche of the year.
Arrogance?
Hubris?
Overconfidence?
Fear?
[All of the above.]
I’ll admit that I haven’t exactly had the best year of my career in 2022. I’ve let myself down, I’ve fallen into the vicious circle of blaming others for my own shortcomings - and to be honest. Wouldn’t that strike a blow to Torture’s decision to pick up my option…
Fuck you, cheerleader.
This is MY yard
This is MY Championship
And I’m not letting it go
The woman I defeated to win the CBS Championship would walk circles around your punk ass.
Laughable, but predictable…
Who the hell are you to come in here with a title shot?
We have to EARN the right to a shot here in AW
Yet they just gave you the chance right away
Have you asked yourself why that might be? Is it because they know you’re the starting QB for a LFL team? Is it because I put LFL superstar Lissie Hope out of action two weeks ago and this in turn might draw interest from the fans? We always talk about combat sports with such reverence. Men and women have sacrificed their bodies, their careers - and even in rare instances - their lives for WRESTLING. And then some mouthy little shit like you comes in here with only half of your attention on the sport.
You’re no trailblazer - hell, you’re not even a full-time wrestler. Yet you assume you’re going to walk into an Old School Wrestling Match against somebody who has dedicated her LIFE to this sport - and come out with a win?
HA!
HA!
Ha
Ha
ha
It’ll be a cold day in hell before I allow you to take my championship and humiliate me in a federation that you aren’t even cut out to be in.
It’s easy to talk the talk… But if you walked a mile in my boots, you’d know what this business and championship means to me. And you’d understand that no matter how hard you try - no matter how much you fight and what you put me through… I’ll NEVER give up - I’ll NEVER surrender
And you’ll never beat me.
